Perfect holiday in great manor

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to the manor house and equally as excellent as the first. We were 12 adults and 4 babies - the chateau was perfect, with plenty of space, loads of facilities, and an array of nearby sites. Pascal is a perfect host, and his recommended chef Laurent is great. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent large manor for family vacation, grandparents, children and grand children.

  • 5 of 5

A large characterful chateau with lots of room for a large family vacation. Has it all: pool, tennis court, table tennis, table football etc. Well located. Very helpful and friendly owner. He lives in it part of the year and it feels like a loved and a special place. Conveniently close super market and bakery in the nearby, but not very charming village. We stayed for 2 weeks and can warmly recommend this special place. Good place for touring, but a wonderful place to spend time at. Bathrooms, beds etc are very typical European, rather than American luxo.

Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant week with 3 families at Pascal's gorgeous chateau. So much for the kids and adults to do. We would normally be out everyday exploring the area when we stay in France but the place is so brilliant we hardly left! Tennis was a hit, as was the table tennis and table football. All in all a very special place.

Ein Urlaubsdomizil, bei dem alles stimmt.

  • 5 of 5

Wow - a really perfect stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a truly wonderful week at Pascal's superb chateau in the Perigord.

The chateau is even better than it looks in the pictures - a super mix of great character with excellent facilities. Would highly recommend the place for groups of friends or families - comfortably sleeps 10+ people with plenty of personal space.

Pascal was the consummate host - welcoming, efficient, and highly responsive. His recommended chef, Laurent, was also superb.

In very close proximity (10-15 mins drive) is the beautiful town of Perigueux - with everything from Roman history to Michelin-starred restaurants (L'Essentiel was excellent)! It is also a good base for exploring the wider Perigord region.

Overall - highly recommended!

This chateau absolutely stunning!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't even do this rental justice. It is even more stunning than it looks, and the property is extremely well-maintained. There are multiple indoor and outdoors areas in which to sit and dine or have a glass of wine. The rooms are beautiful, as are the bathrooms, and the dining room and living areas are spacious and adorned with sculptures of interesting world art. Tennis and pool are perfect. Pascal is a marvelous host, going so far as to recommend the best dish in the nearby town of Perigeaux and even showing us where we can forage for edible mushrooms and plums on the property. It is an ideal location in the Perigord Blanc for taking day trips to Surlat, Saint-Emilion, Bourdeaux, the paleolithic caves and for exploring all of the riches and numerous castles of the Dourdogne region. Bring your friends and family. A must!!!
