Once you stay at Pinnacle Port (PP) resort, you'll want to come back again and again. Pinnacle Port is located away from it all mid-way between Destin and Panama City - at the quiet, western-most edge of Panama City Beach (near the eastern edge of the Beaches of South Walton on highway 30A ). Nestled between the unspoiled Saint Helen state park beach and the private beach-home community of Carillon, Pinnacle Port resort is protected to the north by the picturesque inlet lake (Lake Powell), making Pinnacle Port resort one of the most secluded and quietest ocean-front resorts on the Panhandle.

Our 2 BR, 2.5 BA home is on the ninth and tenth floor (townhome with two bedrooms upstairs), at the far end of the best wing of the PP tower building. Its unobstructed views of the Gulf, Lake Powell, and the beautiful multi-million-dollar homes in the private Carillon community are breathtaking.

The unique two-balcony floor plan, which is not available in the mid-rise buildings, or in the 1 BR units in the tower, provides for 13' x 5' ocean-front and lake-front balconies on opposite sides of the condo, each with premium teak chairs and tables.

Our unit has two Serta premium king-sized beds. The lake-side bedroom has a Serta Hotel Trump Select firm king mattress. The master king bedroom also has a Serta Perfect Sleeper Elite Smart Surface Redding high-end, firm mattress - this is not a sofa bed.

A quick ride down the elevator and a walk down a short hall, and you then step off into the sand. At Pinnacle Port, you are on the beach and a few seconds to the water.

We selected Pinnacle Port due to the memorable vacationing experiences we have had here with our families as tenants. The vacation property because it offers fantastic views of the ocean and Lake Powell, has extraordinarily easy beach access, is very close to the ocean, and is secluded, has a good selection of amenities, and offers a myriad of activities such as fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle boarding, or just relaxing on a quiet beach. Pinnacle Port's location, though secluded and quiet, is also reasonably close to Panama City and Destin to spend some time shopping, dining, and enjoying nightlife. It's also a family-oriented resort with affordable rental rates, especially compared with comparable resort condos in other complexes.

Beautiful updated condo

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo has everything that you need to feel right at home. The property was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the views amazing! The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses and cooking utensils/equipment. The owner was very helpful and everything was as advertised. We love staying on the west side of Panama City. It is very quiet and you can enjoy the beach without the crowds. Shopping is close by as well. We will definitely be back!

Our second wonderful trip to this condo

Our second year to spend fall break at pinnacle port. We love this condo. Beautifully decorated and everything you need for a fun and relaxing week. Views from both balconies are spectacular, loved the little tables for breakfast. The beach is beautiful, especially at sunset! The pool is very relaxing, we were happy the snack shop was open, the owner is very nice. The property is well maintained and everything is easily accessible. The owners are very helpful and respond very quickly. Its apparent they take pride in this lovely property and want others to enjoy it as well. We can't wait to come back next year!

Wonderful vacation!

We have stayed in several condos at Pinnacle Port and this is definitely the nicest condo we have stayed in. The condo was clean, neat and well-appointed with upgraded counter tops and appliances. There were nice touches that made you feel as if you were staying at a resort. The presentation of the linens along with soaps, shampoo and conditioners were nice touches! The beach view from the bedroom is lovely and you can see a nice sunset from the family room. The owner was courteous and made a huge effort prior to our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. Beach access could not be easier. Easy access to fun things to do in both Panama City Beach and the towns along 30-A. Great place to stay for a family!

Homey & Beautiful!

This is my second time staying here. I can't say enough good things about this condo and the owners! They truly care about the renters and take pride in their condo. From the moment you walk in you feel like you are at home. Everything from the lighting, stereo system, cookware, furniture, appliances, linens, and much more is of great quality and gives you a great sense of comfort on your vacation. The views are amazing! The upstairs balcony is perfect for drinking coffee in the morning and watching the dolphins. The beds are super cozy...Especially the ocean view bedroom! It has to be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! I really appreciated the cable access and wifi! Not only did we have access to cable but Netflix as well! I was able to pick up the wifi signal even on the beach. I highly recommend this condo! It is in the perfect location with beautiful white sand and clear blue water. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had during our stay and made us feel right at home! I will definitely be back next year!

Beautiful Views, Luxurious Interiors, Home Away from Home

This is my second time staying at this location and I will say it was even better the second time! Not that it was needed, but in a year, there have been many improvements! The new water filter pitcher in the refrigerator is so convenient! And I still love the motion sensor lights on the stairs and the luxurious comfort of both beds! The owner makes a great effort to put all the instructions for electronics, appliances, wifi, AC, etc. on the VRBO app, which is so very helpful! Reading, the previous review, I must say, we never had a problem with WiFi, either upstairs or downstairs. I also remarked several times how every time I walked in it smelled like the Florist where I used to work (not an artificial, chemical smell). Who doesn't love the smell of flowers?! Everything about this place is top notch and we truly felt at home the entire time. If you go, don't forget to take some time one night to sit on the beach and watch the stars! So beautiful. Lastly, I want to thank Mike for always being available via text anytime we needed something. I highly recommend staying here and I plan to return!

Honest Review of Our Experience

Family demographics: 30's Professionals with a 5 month old baby

Pro's: Nicely appointed with renovated interiors, nice TV, one comfortable bed (lakeside), nice bathrooms, nice towels, beach towels, beach blanket, chairs, nice view of Lake from main living area, nice washer/dryer, nice kitchen

Cons: WiFi not good-- barely usable, air conditioning won't get below 72-74 degrees, dirty air filter, no working refrigerator until 2 days after our arrival (not a huge problem for us, as owner refunded us $100); outlet burned up my $50 Vornado fan (came up to bed and alarmed by the roar and smell of burning wires next to my sleeping baby in his travel crib...my dad is an electrician, advised it should be checked.. owner dismissed me and said nothing was wrong and to plug his tv back into the outlet); only view of ocean from tiny balcony in one of the bedrooms; bed in that bedroom lumpy and sloped; entire condo smelled of old carpet with air freshener trying to cover up a bad smell -- best way I can describe it); had an incident during/after rental -- hubby spilled hot sauce on cabinet, unbeknownst to me -- owner said housekeeping couldn't remove it, so he ended up charging me $94 to have cabinets sanded and repainted --- I'm ok with that -- honest mistake and we paid for it, although it's hard to believe that hot sauce required such an extreme remedy.)

What is not fair is that the owner left me a 3 star review for "cleanliness." That is unfair and embarrassing. People break things; people have accidents; people spill hot sauce. That does not mean they are "unclean." I'm a new mom with a new baby and it was our first family vacation. I took out all the trash, ran the dishwasher, left towels by washer -- typical condo rental etiquette. I did not deserve his review. I also had to text with this guy about 50 times. It was overwhelming how much he texted me. I could barely enjoy myself. I felt like his personal property manager.

Owner's Response: April, I am truly sorry you didn't have a great stay in our condo. We know how important family vacations are, and we take our role seriously in trying to provide an excellent experience for our guests. I guess we have some improving to do. Readers should consider that you sent me a message this morning threatening to leave a poor review if I did not rescind my 3-star assessment of one category (cleanliness) in my guest review. And so you did. Other than these factual corrections: • A new, upgraded refrigerator was delivered within 24 hours of your arrival on Labor Day weekend, not 48. • The WiFi thermostat data record during your stay shows the average indoor temperature of 71.4 F with an average outside temperature of 86.9 F, with the cooling mode running on average 14 hours per day. Perfectly normal for A/C in Florida. That's at the thermostat which is about 8 feet from the oven and 2 feet from the laundry room. • Regarding the texting, I was simply keeping you up to date regarding the delivery of the new refrigerator - nowhere near 50 times. I've found that most guests prefer more communication in addressing problems rather than less. Had you asked me not to text you, I would have honored that request. • I didn't dismiss your concern about the electrical outlet. I told you that the electrical system had been professionally inspected by a licensed inspector in October 2014 when we bought the condo, and then again in November of 2015 by a licensed electrician when we had a few three-way switches put in. * Regarding the WiFi - you must have been logged onto the Pinnacle Port Resort free Wifi, which is not as good as the wifi as we installed. We have high-speed Wifi in our unit over and above that which is offered at the resort. We also installed a WiFi extender for use upstairs. The log in and password information for the high speed WiFi was in your welcome packet and posted on the refrigerator. • The issue wasn't that you splattered hot sauce on the cabinets. The issue was that it wasn't cleaned up and it stained two cabinet doors. There was also a leather couch that was permanently stained. I'll let the 50 five-star reviews, especially the ones of guests just before and just after your stay speak to the other complaints in your review. Thanks again for choosing our place! MJ
