The sunroom is an incredible place to have breakfast and wake up to the lake whether its in the winter when its frozen over, or in the fall when the leaves color everything. Just so relaxing to sit and read a book or simply enjoy the view.

Nice location on the lake

  • 4 of 5

This is an older cottage in a nice location with a private dock. The fixtures are older and there are a lot of things that could be updated. The kitchen looked to have been remodeled recently. It could also use more outdoor lighting. We arrived in the dark and had a hard time figuring out where to go and navigating the stairs. The outdoor lighting in general did not seem to work well. There are a lot of stairs both down to the house and to the dock. This wasn't an issue for us but if you had older people or young children in your party it could pose a problem. The house was clean and linens are provided. The sunroom was a nice place to eat and play games. It was unseasonably cold Labor Day weekend and we did have a little trouble with the fireplace and heaters in the sunroom but the owners were very responsive and fixed those things quickly. The hot tub is under roof. The water gets deep quickly at the dock so wading is not an option. We had kayaks and getting in and out had to happen from the dock. There is a ladder on the dock though and you could easily swim here. The outdoor spaces in the back could use some work but overall it was a nice place for our purposes.

Nice place some upgrades needed

  • 4 of 5

Home is a very nice set up. The large sunroom was our favorite room. We moved the kitchen table in there so we could all sit in there to eat and play games! Kam was very nice and let us come in early when they were done cleaning. The number of stars is because some upgrading could be done (bathrooms, decking-my son hammered down several nails that were popping out.) Also we called the cove the superhighway of the lake; with the aqua center rentals and the marina gas stations made it very busy.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived, except with a much nicer lake view

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful view of the lake is visible from just about every room in the house. A long, glassed in porch spans the entire front of the house with a lovely view of the lake. From the Master bedroom, I could watch the lake while laying in bed. The home was cozy, comfortable, and well-furnished. We had everything we needed and plenty of room for a fantastic stay. The kitchen opens into the living area, so you are not cut off from friends and family while cooking. The home is located close to the main part of town with restaurants, shops, and boat rental facilities. We rented a boat for the week just a short hop down the lake. This part of the lake is especially busy on weekends with lots of boat traffic, but it lightens up during the week. The lake is wide enough to swim off the dock without worrying about the boats. It is peaceful and quiet during the mornings and evenings. We rarely heard any of our neighbors. There are a lot of steps from the top parking area down to the house, and then down to the dock, but the steps didn't pose a problem for any of us. The owners are very responsive and easy to reach. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again in the future. Thanks Kam for everything!

Nice Old house, but the steps are very dangerous to walk. Not for older folks or real young chidren

  • 3 of 5

This cottage is apparently an older house that is built onto a sloping side of the lake.

There is good parking but the steps down to the house are steep with the very first step having a cinder block lip that you could trip on and go tumbling.

Then you arrive at fieldstone steps with no handrails at the side door. There is no real front door. The steps then go down another couple of layers. One to the dated gazebo- deck. Then there is another layer of steps down to the dock. The railings on these layers need to be refinished as they are old and full of splinters. One of the main fieldstone top step stones was missing.

The house itself is clean and the big porch facing the water is very nice. The master bedroom has a view, but the bathroom needs to be updated. The fireplace did not work as the pilot light was not lit and I did not want to have to go through the process of relighting it.

The kitchen and dining room are fine.

The doors have some issues with the locks. Most locked some are broken.

There are two bedrooms upstairs. There was no TV upstairs. There is a useless chair and open room at the top of the steps. Washer and dryer upstairs worked fine.

The cottage is in a great location, but really needs some updating and repairs.

There is a hot tub but it is under the porch, not on the deck near the Gazebo. The water needs to be changed weekly as it was full of soap suds when you turned it on.

There is another house that is so close it looks like it is part of a duplex.

Main concern were the steps.

This was a very peaceful and relaxing vacation.

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was very clean and well maintained even with it being older. There were a lot of steps so got a workout just by going in and out. We enjoyed the dock right on the lake and the hot tub during a storm! Great vacation.
