We invite you to share our favorite place to get away to fish, kick-back and just enjoy life! You will likely see flocks of egrets early in the morning as you sip you strong New Orleans coffee on the deck by the bayou. The fish are jumping and the stars shine bright at Bayou Maison.
You will enjoy the privacy at this bayou retreat! Easy access, just a few minutes to shopping, yet feel like you are very secluded from the world once at the property.
The accommodations were perfect for my a New Years gathering with a large group of friends. We enjoy being in a naturalistic setting that has the feel of a retreat but also being within easy driving distance of a grocery store and other attractions. From this beautiful home that has great views of the bayou and that has a lovely deck/gazebo on which to sit and enjoy nature, we easily drove to and from grocery stores as well as went into New Orleans to enjoy the food and activities there. My group enjoys cooking large meals for many people, both breakfasts and dinners, and the kitchen was so well stocked, possibly better stocked that any rental home we've stayed in previously. Not only are there ample kitchen tools such as waffle irons, durable chefs knives, and pots and pans, but there were more than enough plates, utensils, and dishes. Additionally, the spice rack was well stocked. There were plenty of towels, and the hosts left a good bit of the essentials like toilet paper and paper towels so that in our short stay, we did not have to purchase more. It was great from start to finish. I highly recommend this place.
Great house for relaxing. Lots of beds for a big family or group. Nice open kitchen and living area. Lots of land so it feels secluded.
Pretty sure this place has the biggest kitchen island I've ever seen in my entire life! You can easily sleep 300 people comfortably and it feels like you're at a really nice camp. Very Impressive and Relaxing !!!
This place sleeps around 20. We rented this place for one night to do a guys bow fishing trip. The place had everything we needed on site for meal preparation. The best thing about the night was the beds. We were worn out after the hunt and the beds (even the bunk beds) have fantastic mattresses! I give this place 👍👍
This house and property provided the perfect environment for a refreshing get-away where we felt secluded and off the grid but still had the convenience of stores/restaurants only 15 minutes away. Clean, spacious, peaceful, and affordable. We made some great memories and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
Coming from the west coast on a red eye we thought we would hangout in NOLA until check-in time at 4 but we were wrong, too exhausted so we contacted Gwen, she was so nice and accommodating to us, we were able to checkin early. This house has so much to offer the views were beautiful, the beds were comfy, the kitchen well equipped. This was a great place to host a small family gathering.
I truly loved this place, thanks Gwin and family for sharing your vacation home.
