Spring/Summer 2016 new jacuzzi for guest!!! Reserved and available to the guest!
Nice country retreat in the foothills of the Dolomites in Vittorio Veneto. The hosts were wonderful and the house charming as pictured. The fireplace was a welcome pleasure in the cool October evenings. Day trips to Venice are possible by train as are many other destinations. The town of Saraville has everything you need whether eating out or cooking in.
The driveway to the house is quite steep and took a bit of getting used to. All in all a great place for a relaxing getaway.
This was our second visit in 2 years to this beautiful house, this time to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Once again Antonia looked after us very well and we had a wonderful 3 weeks staying in this lovely property. We travelled extensively during our stay and visits included Venice, Lake Garda, Verona, Belluno, the coast at Caorle and even Lake Bled in Slovenia. We also explored the local area including several nearby lakes, both by car and on foot. Some days all we wanted to do was relax in the peaceful gardens looking out over the Vines and Olive Groves. Everything we said about the property in our last review remains unchanged. This is truly a beautiful unspoilt part of Italy, away from the busy tourist areas but with easy access to so many fabulous places. Thank you once again Antonia and Maurizio and the lovely cats for a wonderful time.
This beautiful little house was perfect in every way for us. The location is stunning. The renovations have been carried out extremely well, retaining loads of character. The house was well maintained, clean and well equipped. The owners are at the bottom of the steep drive if you need them. You can easily walk to lovely Vittorio Veneto in about 20 minutes downhill, obviously harder work on the way back! We had a fabulous day trip to Venice (by train, easy booking through Tourist Information office, don't forget to validate your ticket before boarding). We visited several of the beautiful lakes in the area, also Treviso, Asolo, British Cemetery at Giavera, Road of the 100 days at Passo di San Boldo. Details of these were available in the house. Lots of lovely walks in the area. We had most of our meals at home and made good use of the barbecue. The weather was great and we watched some spectacular thunder storms at night. The Viviani family were lovely and afforded us much appreciated privacy but always happy to help if needed. Peace and quiet abound in the middle of this beautiful part of Italy. We would definitely recommend and hope to return. We can think of nothing negative to say about Casa Coccinella. Thank you all (including cats and kittens) for a wonderful holiday.
"Beautiful place close to the mountain and great to access the region: Cortina, Veneza (train) and Verona.
The owners were of much help to tell about the vicinities and were very friendly!
If I have the opportunity, I´ll go back there!"
"Very nice and new renovated House. Nice surroundings. Perfectly for excursions with the bike, to the walking and for a visit in Venice.
Thank you for the pleasant stay and the tasty prosecco."
"An absolutely beautiful little cottage nestled on a picturesque mountainside with stunning views over the lovely township of Vittorio-Veneto. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The balcony and terrace were relaxing in the hazy sunny afternoons; the open fire was cosy in the evenings. The setting is special; sitting within the owner’s vineyard it is peaceful and connects you to the fabulous Veneto countryside. The views from the cottage are superb. Antonia & Maurizio, the owners, are absolutely fantastic, so lovely and welcoming. We really cannot praise them enough, such wonderful people - they really did make our stay extra special. They picked us up from Marco Polo airport for a reasonable extra fee and gave us a tour of the village and vicinity on the drive to the cottage. They brought little welcome packages of eggs, tomatoes, wine and even the traditional wedding pomegranate, all from their ample estate. We were provided with customised maps of the area and of Venice upon our arrival which proved invaluable. They even took us to the local supermarket so we could stock up as it is quite a walk with shopping up the hill to the cottage. What a walk! But it is DEFINITELY worth it! It's a real home from home and was perfect for us young honeymooners as it is secluded, pretty, cosy and relaxing. Venice & Verona are easily reached via the local train station and tickets were inexpensive enough for us to visit Venice twice! With Vittorio-Veneto you really get the best of both worlds – beautiful alpine view but only 50mins travel from the Lagoon of Venice. English is sparse in this region, which is what we wanted, a true, genuine Italian experience. Despite this we managed very well with just a small phrase book and heavy Scottish & Lancashire accents! Antonia is currently learning English and loves to converse with you and will do all she can to help you in any way.
The Accommodation = Clean, quaint & comfortable
The Views = Splendid
The Owners = Fantastic
The Location = Wonderful
Overall Experience = Perfect!"
