The house is in a village whith bakery, grocery and market (5 minutes walking). The apartament is very big and confortable, it has a very big terrace where you can eat looking the lake. From the windows of the sleeping rooms you can see the interior gardens of the house.
It 'a family home for generations.
The water in front of the house and the hills immediately behind it offer the possibility of new landscapes and leisure activities are very different.
Francesca was a wonderful hostess and the apartment was perfect for our needs (there were 2 adults and 4 kids). Simple, clean, a beautiful view of the lake, (exactly what you see in the picture), and in a great location to see the area. Francesca helpfully supplied linens and towels, there is a beautiful deck with table/chairs/umbrella, and she pointed us to whatever we needed - bank, grocery, bakery, pizza. We were there specifically to see Christo's 'Piers' installation and Francesca helped us avoid the crowds and make our way to Monte Isola by ferry instead of waiting in line for 3 hours! That small piece of advice was key to making our visit a success. Francesca's daughter, son-in-law, son were all equally warm and friendly. Lake Iseo is beautiful and Francesca's apartment was a great place to stay.
The flat was good, very large, clean and with a beautiful terrace facing the lake. Everything was as expected. The location is perfect if one wants to visit Verona and Milan. We liked our stay in Sale Marasino very much and we definitely consider coming back. Thank you Francesca!
We stayed in the apartment over Easter 2016 and really enjoyed it. The house is very typical and has nice gardens. The apartment itself is quite spacious and was very clean. We found everything we needed. Needless to say that we used the huge terrace with its magnificent view over the lake for having breakfast, hanging out in the sun and having some sundowners. A supermarket, bakery and the ferry to the island are in walking distance. Last but not least: Francesca was a charming host and we can only recommend staying with her. Best regards, Daniel & friends
Gastvrouw spreekt bovendien prima Engels, erg prettig.
The beach (no sand) is 600 meters far (free). Very near, 300 meters you can get the ferry to Monteisola ( It obtained this mention: "one of the most beautiful country in Italy "). In the Island you can walk and visit the small fisherman towns, there is a grass lake beach (free), and, if you want you can hike a bike, you can go on the top of the island where there is a Sanctuary.
On Friday morning you will visit the big street market in Iseo. Iseo is the main town on the lake. I love this market. You can find shoes, clothes and other stuff.
Less then 1 hour away by car
Brescia my city. It is actually 30 minutes away. ( 45 by train) It has a cute center city with a Roman temple, shops, the most beautiful church round dom I have ever seeing and much more. Brescia is not turistic but as every city in Italy has a lot to offer.
Franciacorta wine region . It has fomous wine making cantines. You might be able to visit one and find a good restorant
Bergamo is the city at the other side of the lake. It is very nice. The historical center of the town is on the top of a hill.
Verona well, there is the Arena: the roman teather (like the Colosseum) still in use and the house of Juliette. Verona has a lot to offer
Alps all around Iseo lake, and Valmonica with prehystoric place.
