Apartment renovated in 2010, in downtown Lisbon, a 15 minute walk from the Rossio. Quiet area, with access to public transport and all infrastructure.
50(fifty) meters from the Italian Embassy and 150 meters from the Embassy of Germany.
Great to see the city!
We chose this apartment as it is close to where family live and we spent 17 happy days. It's a lovely clean, bright, well equipped apartment - nicely renovated with some original features that give character. Idalina and her husband welcomed us warmly and told us about the apartment, communicating in English and French. Having air conditioning that also provided warm air heating was a bonus, keeping us warm in the November evenings. The apartment is in a fairly quiet little road close to a Pingo Doce supermarket and several cafes and restaurants. There's a lovely little park a few minutes' walk away (Campo Matires da Patria) with a cafe serving drinks and snacks. The Goethe Institute is a great place to visit for food and drink in summer, when the beautiful garden is open. Another favourite place of ours is Jardim do Torel with wonderful views down to the river. A 15 minute walk takes you down to Lisbon centre - we would often return in a cab to avoid the hills, for 5 or 6 euros.
We really enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment and felt it offered good value. Thank you!
A spacious, light and airy apartment, very well equipped and in super condition. Also great to have a small balcony to sit and watch daily life go by. The very pleasant owners were there ready to meet us on time and give us advice about the apartment and the area. They also left us a complimentary bottle of wine - a nice touch!
Whilst perhaps not the best known of locations, it is well situated with easy access to the Metro (Green Line - Intendente - about 3 minutes walk and the Blue Line - Avenida - about 12 minutes walk , both of them mostly downhill (although uphill on the way back!)). A couple of nice bar/restaurants close by and a nice little bar/restaurant in the park about 5 mins. walk away open till midnight.
All in all a good 7 night stay with no real issues. The only reason we did not give 5 stars is that the wireless internet access was somewhat flaky and would have given problems to anyone who was totally reliant upon it. Idalina tells me that they have a technician looking at it to improve the service.
The apartment was wonderful. It was tastefully furnished. Good sized and comfortable bedrooms. The location was superb and we mostly walked everywhere. Idalina and Helder were the perfect hosts.
Would definitely recommend!
This charming two bedroom apartment is ideal for exploring the sites of the city. It is located close to metro lines and the airport. There are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance offering local cuisine at reasonable prices. The people of Lisbon are very friendly and many speak English. The lovely owners of this apartment are the most generous and helpful couple we have met through Homeaway. Right away we felt at home and knew they were only a phone call away. Idalina even arranged our taxi for an early morning flight home. Our visit was way too short, and hopefully we can return soon.
The apartment was exactly what we expected. The place was clean and comfortable. Idalina and her husband were very accommodating and wonderful to work with. We got lost on the way to Lisbon and consequently we were late to meet with Idalina and her husband. They kindly waited for us to arrive and still took the time to tell us how to get around and what sites we needed to see. The apartment was nicely located and we were able to get around the city without any issues.
We stayed at the apartment for 3 days in December 2015 and found it met all our needs. It is well equipped, is very close to the Metro and is also a fairly easy walk to most of the sites in Lisbon. There is a supermarket nearby as well as good restaurants. Idalina and Helger were very helpful and we really appreciated the welcoming bottle of wine. They also arranged a taxi for our early morning departure for the airport (otherwise the apartment is well-connected to the airport by Metro),
