'Es Castell' is the eastern-most municipality on the Island of Minorca, the Balearics an Spain.It is where the sun first rises each day in our country.'Es Castell (historically 'Villa Carlos') has a rich history fuelled by being the entrance to the natural port of Mahón. It is the place where all people who settled in these lands built forts to defend themselves against the Turks, or pirates such as redbeard. In the 16th Century,'Villa Carlos' or 'Es Castell' was one of the most important towns on the island as in its waters and its port, took place the main battles to defend the island.

At 100m from 'Cales Fonts', old fisherman´s pier, in pure Mediterranean style, where the terraces of the bars and restaurants, together with handicraft stalls, share an idyllic landscape at the seashore with caves transformed into shops and fisherman´s shelters.

The apartment offers very comfortable relaxed living. We are very pleased to have discovered it.

Excellent Apartment for a Couple

We have stayed at this apartment for the last 2 years. It is very conveniently situated and it would be possible to have a holiday using public transport. It is well equipped, spacious,clean and well maintained. The air conditioning is a huge bonus as is the garage for parking a car. The outside area despite the lack of a view provides a pleasant terrace area for taking meals. It too is well equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends or relatives.

It is conveniently located for the local shops and for the bars and restaurants at Calas Fonts but is none the less remarkably quiet and peaceful at the back of the apartment block.

The lady who is the caretaker of the apartment is very friendly and approachable too.

"Excellant apartment it had everything you could wish for Ideal position you could walk to everything ie Supermarket *3doors* down - bank - cafes - Cala Fonts just one minute walk for tapas drinks food etc --A totally secure garage to use so if you have a car parking is no problem I am booking again next year."

Très bon séjour

Appartement très agreable, tres bien situé, très bien équipé et tres propre.

Tres bon accueil de mme Bel.

A 2km de la magnifique cala saibt Esteve et 5km de la superbe Cala Saint RAFALET, par le Gr223.

Parc naturel d ES Grau, Mahon et aeroport accessible rapidement par taxi ou bus.

Nous avons passé un tres agreable sejour avec juste un petit bemol pour le bruit du portail la nuit. L endroit est tres calme mais pour ceux qui aurait le sommeil léger, il faut savoir qu il y a un portail pour faire rentrer les voitures qui est un peu bruyant la nuit.

Sinon c etait vraiment parfait!

Il y a 6 ans, nous avons loué la maison et personne n’avait fait aucun commentaire qui gênait le bruit de la porte d’entrée de voitures. Nous travaillerons à améliorer et à éviter ce bruit. Una estancia perfecta

El piso sorprende cuando llegas porque responde a la idea que una se hace con las fotos pero , mejor.

El piso está perfectamente limpio y equipado, el espacio es más que suficiente para una pareja y el patio es un desahogo perfecto.

Al lado del piso hay un Eroski que tiene de todo y soluciona cualquier necesidad. Dos calles más abajo está el puerto lleno de terrazas y con un paseo marítimo muy agradable.

Tiene una cochera que evita tener problemas de aparcamiento.

Todo funciona estupendamente.

Hemos estado muy a gusto y me encantaría volver a utilizarlo en una próxima visita.
