The property was clean and contained all that was needed for a comfortable stay including a washing machine, kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, television, free wifi etc. A great feature is the large outdoor area, directly accessed from the apartment on to the rooftop, complete with a small table and chairs, benches and sun lounges.
The bed is comfortable and cosy. The drawback for some may be the steps to access it, as it is on a mezzanine level. The apartment itself is on the third floor of the building (without a lift), and within the apartment itself the toilet and washing machine are on a lower level than the rest of the apartment.
The apartment is quiet and secure. I stayed here for a fortnight in May/June 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

"The apartment was very clean as well as the staircase, pavement and street. The street was very charming with every little shop you need for a pleasant stay in France. Cafées, bakeries and restaurants were situated close to the apartment and the bakeries were open early in the morning. The view from the kitchen was overlooking the street and from top level of the very big terrace you could see the church and the roof ridges of the buildings nearby. As for the amenities - there was everything we needed and they were fully functional. The apartment was easy to find in the center of the old Aix. The walk from the bus station following the main street was easy, as we had backpacks, and took us merely 15 minutes. If you arrive by taxi there is no problem to stop right at the front door. However, parking is not possible on rue d'Italie so if you come by car you have to find a parking lot on one of the nearby streets. Rue d'Italie is a quiet street (one-way only). The only time we heard some noise was during one of the week-end nights when people were returning home after a late night performance during a music festival on Cours Mirabeau. Mme Bain was a pleasant acquaintance and she was very welcoming and helpful. We certainly look forward to our next stay in this apartment".
