The loft has exposed timber beams, which allows it to have an open floor plan. The north facing skylights provide natural light worthy of a painting studio.
The queen size bed is located in the corner of the main area, while the full sized bed is in a separate bedroom.
The access is through a side door and up a flight of stairs.
Our area is nice for a walk down the road, which is only lightly traveled. Private parking for 2 cars is right by the building. Guests have access to the yard by the apartment but need to respect the privacy of the home next door.
Interaction with Guests
The loft apartment is the upstairs space of a detached building on our property. Our home is next door and we are available if needed.
Our loft apartment is in a quiet, private setting where you can enjoy the beauty of the Appalachian mountains, yet be only minutes from downtown Asheville. It's the perfect combination for visiting this special region. You can hike one minute and then be at a nationally renowned restaurant the next. The Biltmore Estate is 15 minutes away.
We are a short drive from downtown Asheville, conveniently located a few miles from I-40 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. No public transportation out this way.
This is a quiet area and guests are expected to be the same. No smoking on the premises. No pets allowed.
Some friends and I stayed at this property for two nights. It was very easy to find and extremely clean. We had everything we needed and the location was great! It wasn't a bad drive to downtown Asheville at all and the owner was extremely accommodating. We will definitely go back!
My husband and I stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was perfect for us. The house is extremely clean and has everything you could ever need for a short stay. I highly recommend this home. The owner was incredibly relaxed and easy to work with.
The owner of the home (who lives on the property in a separate house) was so helpful with things to do in Asheville as well as guiding us to the loft when our GPS wasn't working, she was very patient with us. When we walked into the loft you could tell that someone knew what they were doing when they built and designed it, no wonder, her and her husband are both in the business. Everything, even down to the toilet paper holder and bathroom door handle are made custom and by hand out of repurposed materials, Awesome! Everything you may need is there, even toiletries if you forgot something, a lint roller, a container to chill water in the fridge etc....small things you wouldn't think of. OH and cupcakes! Delicious cupcakes were waiting for us on the kitchen counter. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful stay in the loft. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. It rained nearly every day of our trip due to El Nino and the hurricaine and Angie was great with providing resources for us with ideas of things to do and places to eat. We had a small child with us, and she provided toys and a kids table, even a baby gate for the stairs! So helpful!! There were lots of DVD's for the rainy days as well. The linens and furniture were of good quality and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals as well. Would happily stay here again!
This rental exceeded my expectations! The furnishings were lovely with some beautiful wood carving art work, pretty bed spreads, and fresh flowers on the table. The towels were top quality - very thick and fluffy. Lots of little touches that just made this a very comfortable place to stay. I was concerned that we were going to be too far from town, but it was really very close, about 15 minutes or less. I would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I enjoyed our weekend at Angie and Dave's loft so much we hope to return. They thought of every possible item that you could think of to make their loft cozy and comfortable. We loved the unique decor and the seclusion and privacy that a hotel doesn't offer. We ventured out to Tupelo Honey South on our first night for dinner. Our GPS took us by way of the Parkway. What a lovely ride and only took 12 minutes to drive there. Our first morning we relaxed with coffee (Keurig and K cups provided) outside in our own private space with chairs and a table before driving to the Biltmore House. It also took less than 15 minutes to get there.
The only complaint that I have is that my husband arrived in Asheville before me and met Dave and settled in before I arrived. Angie left 2 delicious (so I was told) cupcakes for us but he ate then both before I arrived! LOL He said they were the best he'd ever had! The fresh flowers were a very nice added touch too. We also took advantage of the DVDs and enjoyed relaxing our second night and watching a movie. I honestly slept better than I have slept in an long time and didn't want to leave such a relaxing place. One of the most important things for me when staying somewhere is the cleanliness. The loft was spotless! Thank you Angie and Dave and I look forward to meeting you next time! (hide a cupcake for me!)
