Kandace Tanner purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Kandace Tanner chose Tennessee

We purchased 'Flying Horse Views' out of a love for the area.

After spending over the past two decades staying at many of the cabin rentals offered in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and of course, Wears Valley, we decided to buy a cabin for ourselves.

We thought it would be nice to offer the opportunity for other's to experience the wonderful years of memories we made on many vacations with our kids growing up and even after the empty nest came.

We love people and hope that all will come and enjoy those much needed times of refreshing at Our Cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

I fell in love with this cabin when I first saw it.

On every trip James and I took, we looked for two things, view and privacy. We usually found the view but without the privacy, or we found the privacy without the view.

Flying Horse View has it ALL with easy access roads and well maintained streets and neighborhood.

If you want it all, this cabin is busting at the seams with amenities!!

This is Me and my family's 2nd time staying at this cabin. We call it our "home away from home". The views are incredible and breathtaking. The main reason we chose this cabin the first time was for the peace and quiet it offers. I believe for most of the week we were the only ones on the mountain. The cabin is clean, and has everything you could need. All you have to get is food! Randy made our rental process so easy. We are planning on returning to the Smokies in the fall. This is the only place we will stay. If it is booked, we will choose another date, not another place.

Great Time At Flying Horse

  • 5 of 5

This was a GREAT cabin which made it a great vacation for my wife and myself along with our two chihuahas. The cabin was exactly as described and the pictures did not do the actual views justice. Nothing better than sitting out on one of the decks early in the morning with a cup of coffee and taking in the view ! The location was also a . major plus for us. Very quiet and away from all the crowds and noise. I think we may have seen two cars go by in the week we stayed. It was also very easy to find and get to ( no steep winding roads). My wife commented that the cabin was the cleanest and best maintained we have ever stayed in and we have been coming to the Smokies for close to forty years ! One more thing ...Don't overpack with cleaning supplies and kitchen staples. It's all there and plenty of it! We did'nt have to use any of it because we did'nt won't to have to pack and carry it all back home , but it was certainly there if we needed it. One more thing.....Next year we won't have to spend countless hours searching the internet for the PERFECT place to stay...It's already settled if you know what I mean !! Thanks James & Kandace !

Fantastic Views

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our two year old toy poodle would like to thank Kandace and James for the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful cabin. We enjoyed all the amenities (just as described) plus a few extra we did not expect. The cabin was spotless. The decor was really nice and interesting. Our GPS took us directly to the cabin with no problem. The atmosphere, the views and the fall colors will be among our favorite memories for quite a while. We would definitely recommend this cabin to our fellow travelers. We stayed in the cabin for seven days and could easily have stayed another seven but both our jobs were calling us. We stayed in Pigeon Forge in April and experienced most of the attractions. This time the cabin was exuding such peace and quiet that we decided to do a lot of relaxing. We did tour Cade's Cove which was beautiful. A deer nonchalantly crossed our path ( my husband put the brakes on just in time). Ate at Mama's Farmhouse...a plus, also Captain Jim!s...a definite minus.

Great location and comfortable cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is very private and comfortable with gorgeous views. It's in a great location for hiking in the Smokies, and there are a few good restaurants nearby. The hot tub is perfect for the end of a long day of hiking. Beds are comfortable. Owners are responsive and easy to work with. Have already recommended to some friends.

Great Cabin with awesome views

  • 5 of 5

After visiting our son and daughter in law in Knoxville, we decided to spend a few days enjoying the mountains. Our stay was so enjoyable and the accommodations were wonderful. The cabin had a wonderful view of the mountains and sitting on the deck watching the sunset was amazing. We found the cabin conveniently located close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountain National Park. The cabin was well maintained, clean and had a homey feeling the minute you walked in. We will be coming back!

Wonderful, beautiful, peaceful cabin with great views and convenient location.

  • 5 of 5

Flying Horse View is a beautiful, very well maintained cabin that is in a great location. It was everything we were told and more. It is very well maintained and has everything you would expect in a Smoky Mountains cabin. We were provided with everything we needed and the communications were very informative in well in advance of our arrival. Plenty of information is provided to operate anything in the cabin.

The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The hot tub was also very clean and enjoyable. The wrap around porches were really enjoyed and provide great views of the mountains.

The cabin is also centrally located for any attraction in area. We could be in Townsend, or Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg in a short ride. We took our motorcycle and rode the nearby foothills parkway and also was only about 44 miles from Cherokee which was a beautiful ride. We celebrated our 30th Anniversary there and mainly stayed here to catch up on some needed rest. The area was very quiet with no noises or traffic. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was beautiful and very clean with everything we needed for our week stay! The location perfect about 10 miles to town...the views of the mountains gorgeous and the sunsets to die for! Although there are other cabins on the road....they are far enough way to still have total privacy.

The beds were comfortable and the entire place beautifully decorated. The hot tub and waterfall fountain were extra bonuses!

We were able to cook and bar b que most every night with all amenities on hand. Highly recommend!
