About Pelayo Duran

This family retreat was recently purchased by my deceased 83 year old father for the unique purpose of providing a safe place for our family and friends to relax and unwind. Designed for ease of use and enjoyment. As a long time residents of Miami we are only 1 1/2 hour away from paradise. In fact, when we arrive at Outdoor Resort our children all say: "welcome to paradise". Having grown up in Florida boating fishing and diving are our favorite past times. Half way between Miami and Key West and nestled between 2 oceans (the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico) is the 'Heart of Stone'. The perfect destination in the Florida Keys.

All transactions safe secure and confidential all transactions are performed by me personally at The Law Office of Pelayo Duran. You can rest assured that there are no tricks or fraud. All security deposits are held in a non-interest bearing attorney trust account that is safe and secure so you can have peace of mind while you rent. In addition, I am also a Florida Licensed Real Estate Broker and we can provide you with a real estate agents just in case you fall in love with the Florida Keys and you want to rent or buy your next home away from home!!!

Where can you drive on a highway that divides two Oceans? The Gulf of Mexico on the West and The Atlantic Ocean on the East. Now, you are beginning to understand, why they named this historic highway the 'Overseas Highway.'.

Overseas Highway is the only highway that connects a total of 113 miles of roadway and 42 overseas bridges, leapfrogging from key to key in a series of giant arches of concrete and steel. This is a ONE OF A KIND experience for million of tourist each year....

Where else in the world can you wake up to see the sun rising from underneath the ocean in the morning and see the sun setting into the sea in the afternoon by simply turning your head?

This unique property is located next to the world famous '3 mile bridge'. This bridge bolsters the largest PEDESTRIAN ONLY bridge in the keys for fishing, biking, walking, jogging, running, to just to go see the sunrise and/or the sunset or to simply watch marine wildlife from above.

'Outdoor Resort' (or 'Paradise' how it is commonly referred to by the owners), is a fully gated community with 24 hour patrolling security so that you can feel safe and secure 24 hours a day. In addition, to the general residential areas the community offers a private beaches in the Atlantic Ocean as well as 2 community private beaches in the main common areas.

Amenities are too many to list but take a look at the pictures and see what it has to offer.

The 'Heart of Stone' as the home is commonly known is one of only 3 properties located DIRECTLY in front of the community pool. The Home is one of the most picturesque properties in the community bolstering the traditional Florida Keys construction combining the mobile home with the elevated home.

This is a truly amazing location 1/2 way between Miami and Key West the options are too many too mention. Fine dining and shopping is just skip away.

A Family's Paradise!

Just as we entered the Outdoor Resort I already felt that my vacation was going to be enjoyable! The community is gated and you see children riding bikes, playing ball at a nearby park and it gives you the sense of security that your children will be able to play outside worry free. The town home was exactly as it is on the pictures posted, it is very charming and tastefully decorated. The owners were very pleasant and responsive to our questions. We really enjoyed all the amenities that this Resort has to offer. The town home is directly in front of a large pool where my kids enjoyed swimming while I sat and sipped a glass of wine on the balcony upstairs. Fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room area and the living area downstairs is used often as you can sit downstairs and have dinner and watch the boats go by. The place was impeccable, very clean bathrooms (3), the floors, the bedrooms had enough bed for all our kids (4). The neighbors are very friendly and come over and talk to you. The kids loved the playroom where they played pool and table hockey. We walked around in the evening and watch the sunset. There are many amenities and our family truly enjoyed every bit of it. I really felt I was in paradise! Most definitely will be coming back every year and hoping to stay even longer!

My stay in early November was extremely relaxing and filled with adventure. An early morning walk along side the overseas highway and the Atlantic Ocean, just in time to watch the sunrise. After the walk, we went for a swim in the salt water beach located across the property, extremely private and the quiet mood set the tone for the entire day. The condo has all the amenities for a fun filled day. The weather is awesome to enjoy with a beautiful sunset. Highly recommend staying at outdoor resorts.

A vacation in Paradise

Our stay at this townhome in Outdoor Resort was wonderful. Outdoor Resort is a large (400+ sites) resort with the friendliest of people who know how to enjoy life in the Keys. This condo association and all of its facilities are very well managed, maintained and secured (guarded and gated). The townhome is perfectly located directly across the street from an entry to both the large pool and the main activity center and is centrally located within the resort. The townhome was exactly as presented on VRBO with an unexpected great view of the Gulf. While my wife and I have had short visits to the Keys in the past and as a result of staying here for two months have falling in love with this area and will be returning next year.

The Kitchen is very modern and well stocked with dinnerware and utensils, however it does not have a dishwasher.While it has a beautiful large dining table it is too large for the dining area making it very difficult to sit more than four adults. We also found the full size bunk bed and roll out trundle bed difficult for older adults and very difficult to change the sheets. The beautiful sectional in the living area was not very functional and a TV in the master bedroom would have been expected for the price.

One final point, I'm glad I got the property protection insurance required by the owner and offered through VRBO. This insurance protects the renter and the owner from financial losses due to accidental damages to the property. This eliminates the need of debating who's responsible for any damages to the property.
