Here are just a few comments from people who have stayed at Elysium apartments, you are welcome to view the comments book at any time during your stay with us.
'I have travelled all over the world and rarely have I met more hospitable and helpful hosts than Gemma and Des. As for the immaculate accommodation and breathtaking surroundings it's all you need. And all you'll ever need. Elysium could not come with a warmer recommendation' Hanne Klintoe
'Thank you both so much for enabling us to have such a marvellous break. It could not have been a better holiday. You did your best to make our stay easy, your apartment was pristine and your property so beautifully maintained-everything was perfect.' Janet and Neale Gordon.
'We love Corfu, we love Paleokastritsa, we pre booked our holiday at the Elysium apartments because of the view, the location and the external look of the apartments. Thanks so much Des and Gemma-this has been the best holiday ever.' Lin and Bob Kerner.
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday spent at the Elysium apartments in Paleokastritsa with our daughter and her boyfriend. We rented two separate studios which worked out perfectly for us. The studios are very well equipped and clean and are in the most stunning of locations. As well as a balcony to use there are also two gardens to use, the front one having the most beautiful of views! Having been to Paleokastritsa quite a few times before I can honestly say that this has been the best place we have stayed by far and I would definitely recommend them to others. Gemma and Des were warm and friendly and very welcoming. We would definitely stay again, it was perfect for us.
These apartments are truly a hidden gem. The location is stunning; the rooms are clean and spacious. Des, Gemma and lovely Charlie were friendly, helpful and so accommodating.
We will return without a doubt..: we enjoyed every moment of our holiday and can't wait to return!
We both agree that this is the best studio, self catering apartment we have stayed in on a Greek Island (& we have holidayed on 6 now). Small but perfectly formed with exactly what you need & good quality fixtures, fittings & equipment. Amazing value for money. Don't be put off by the 80+ steps (as long as you are able bodied to climb them).......they never get easier BUT, literally take you to another level......quiet, relaxing & a perfect view (the camera does not lie). Gemma & Des are lovely hosts.......attentive & friendly, readily available but not "in your face" (only that very British description works :-)). Paleokastritsia is a stunning resort........geographically beautiful, busy enough to give atmosphere but plenty of quiet hideaways to ensure relaxation. We recommend a day or 2 out in a hire car to explore further afield, a days boat hire & our favourite taverna was in Lacones - Boulis "traditional taverna & grill house".......husband & wife run, with brilliant food. A number of other tavernas in Paleo itself were great too & we especially enjoyed a meal at the harbour (modern taverna, overlooking the harbour itself). A day or 2 in Corfu town is a must....... spectacular Venetian architecture & a labyrinth of quirky streets with some good shopping "finds" beyond the regular tourist stuff. All in all, our holiday to Corfu was exactly what we had hoped & more.......we have come home tanned, relaxed & have fallen in love with a little bit more of Greece.
the location is absolutely jaw-dropping and worth every step you have to take up!!! Very very clean studios and the owners were superfriendly people. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone (exept maybe elderly or disabled people as the stairs take some amount effort)!!
We had a great time staying for a week in one of the Elysium studio's in Paleokastritsa. The view on top is really stunning with a small garden where you can enjoy the fantastic sea view under the olive tree during breakfast or enjoy the beautiful view on the star's and the Milky Way during the night.
The studio's are not that large but conveniently arranged, and we didn't stay long in-house during the day anyway. The studio's are tidy and kept tidy during the week by the owners Gemma and Des, who are really warm, friendly and helpful. I can truly recommend a stay at their property in this part of Corfu, with a lot of fun activities to do in the region and a lot of good restaurants nearby.
Des and Gemma are two amazingly sweet people who have put their heart and soul in creating a peaceful and truly beautiful place in Paleokastritsa. It's great they let other people benefit from all the effort they put in there. We were very grateful to spend a week there for two friends who were getting married in the area.
The first thing you see when you wake up is an incredible view of the surrounding area; we had breakfast in the garden a few times.
The studios are small, but with lots of closets to put your stuff in. And so what if it's isn't that big, when you're in Paleokastritsa you're not spending a lot of time inside. The studios are clean, comfortable and air-conditioned, that's the most important thing.
We had a small problem with the air-conditioning one night and the next day Des and Gemma fixed the problem immediately. So, even if there is a problem on the spot, they will fix it.
We will definitely come back.
Sun, sea, sand and scenery, Paleokastritsa has it all. At the heart of its natural beauty can be found several picturesque bays with turquoise waters, which are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and watersports. The resort is backed by sheer cliffs of olive groves and cypress trees, and as such the terrain is ideal for individuals with interests in painting, photography, walking and hiking.
Excellent facilities are available including a fine selection of swimming pools, restaurants and bars.

Corfu Town is just a 30 minutes drive from 'Elysium' apartments, and simply must be seen when visiting the island. There is a wealth of architectural heritage to be seen reminding visitors of the many nations that have historically fought for the occupancy of the tiny island for thousands of past years due to its strategic location. Although the remaining architecture is largely Venetian, there are still many French and British influences to be found, giving the town a truly cosmopolitan feel.
Visiting Corfu before May 1st: With Easyjet and Ryanair's direct flight schedule beginning as early as March, it's now possible to fly direct to Corfu affordably and sooner than ever! Please note that as owners of the 'Elysium apartments' we always endeavour to have our property available for the first direct flight to Corfu. Unfortunately, this may not be the case for the majority of other businesses and facilities as the official recognised date for the start of the summer season is May 1st. Should you decide to visit before May 1st, either to witness the fantastic Easter celebrations in Corfu town, or simply to enjoy the beaches virtually to yourselves, please be assured that we will attempt to resolve any issues that may arise by visiting before the resorts facilities have opened. It is always advisable to consider renting a hire vehicle before the official start of the season.
Paleokastritsa resort/ Easter in Corfu: Paleokastritsa is a unique and stunning area of Corfu. Unlike many other areas of the island, there is an extensive choice of tavernas, bars, swimming pools, beaches and so much more besides! Unless you wish to explore the island, a hire vehicle is not necessary as tourists in Paleokastritsa are not captive to a small selection of facilities. Despite it's relatively large size as a resort, Paleokastritsa remains one of the most unspoilt areas of Corfu due to strict environmental regulations. You will not forget Paleokastritsa - it is a remarkable place of natural beauty which many tourists return to time and time again. Easter in Corfu town is a remarkable event. If an early holiday appeals to you, don't miss the lively celebrations! An all day event includes traditional processions, costume and music. Witness water filled pots thrown from tall Venentian properties in a crazy Corfiot moment and later a fabulous firework display!
