We were extremely disappointed with this villa.

The villa in no way felt luxurious, in both cleanliness and facilities, as well as location. The HomeAway listing did not accurately list the property details.

The villa is a 27min walk away from where the villa was advertised as being on HomeAway. The villa is also listed as being 'Downtown', which it is not.

The villa listing states that the nearest beach is 1.5 Km away, but that is as the crow flies, it is actually 5.7 Km by car or 3.7 Km by foot.

There were several items listed which were not available;

General:

Outside:

Bicycles -NO

Boat - NO

Kayak / Canoe – NO

Tennis - NO

10 bicycles - NO

Pool / Spa:

Communal Pool - NO

Heated Pool – NO

We specifically searched for villas with a pool, which we did not get.

Several items were broken or not fit to use;

Garden/outside area – unsuitable and un-kept, not fit to use; broken and unclean play area and seats, and the area contained a lot of rubbish including a burnt out oil can and an old car battery. The photos of the outside space are out of date and that area is since in a state of disrepair.

Barbecue – unfit to use

Vacuum cleaner - broken

No ceiling fan (as listed on details printed and provided in villa)

Bath towels and bed sheets were stained red and dark grey in several places

Floor and cupboards were dirty

General interior included peeling paintwork and stained wall.

There were lots of additional hidden costs including;

Towels and bedding, charged per person, not listed online

Electricity, hot water charged per day, not listed online

Studio preparation charge, not listed online

After discussion with the owner, some of these were discounted, however this made the process anxious in advance of our visit. We received the 2 for 1 on the linen packs and the electricity and hot water was waved. The Studio preparation was waived in agreement that we would clean the villa on departure. There were no cleaning utensil provided so we had to purchase these, and we were unable to vacuum, as it was broken.

We initially enquired about the 1 bedroom apartment, as listed on HomeAway, we were told this was not available but that a studio apartment was.

This apartment was nearly twice as much a night, and did not have a separate bedroom, but instead was a studio.

The villa was incorrectly described as a detached villa online, when the property being rented was a studio apartment.

Although the online listing stated this was a starting price, this was misleading.

We were not disappointed: The Rental offers lot

My wife and I recently enjoyed a seven night stay at this lovely apartment. We chose it for the location, photos and excellent reviews. We were not disappointed.

The location is a short walk to the railway station, beach promenade and shopping. The apartment itself is quiet, light and airy. All of the appliances and electronics functioned as they should . I agreed with one review that made the rare comment that this apartment was even more attractive than the photos.

We enjoyed a week with moderate temperatures. Every morning coffee on the balcony in the sunshine. Fresh baguettes around the corner and a small supermarket for all your daily needs just across the street.

We visited Antibes by train and Monaco by bus, both nice trips along the coast line and convenient (1.5 €).

Plenty nice restaurants within walking distance. The Rental offers lot.

We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time staying at this property. The location is fabulous and the apartment was perfect for our young family of four. We were very appreciative of the fans and air containing units at night as it was very hot during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

I recommend this vacation rental

It's always hard to leave a bit and adventure. Of course there are the pictures, but there? If my mind can be helpful, I would say it is not good, put a great location. There's air, space, tranquility, and that's neuf. Le studio was great over almost 2 rooms! Kitchenette, two beds, a grans bed, living room with new latest model LCD TV, marble bathroom, large lot. You can go there, it's very good and a big hello to Madam Owner (charming you'll see!). I recommend this vacation rental for Families with young children, remarkable view, girls getaway, tourists without a car, Raiders, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with teenager

Il est toujours difficile de quitter un peu et d'aventure. Bien sûr il ya les images, mais il? Si mon esprit peut être utile, je dirais qu'il est pas bon, mis un excellent emplacement. Il ya l'air, l'espace, la tranquillité, et que ce studio de neuf.Le était grande sur près de 35 m2 2 chambres! Coin cuisine, deux lits, un lit de Grans, salle de séjour avec nouvelle dernier modèle de TV LCD, salle de bains en marbre, grand terrain. Vous pouvez y aller, il est très bon et un grand bonjour à Madame propriétaire (charmante vous verrez!). Je recommande cette location de vacances pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants, vue remarquable, escapade entre filles, touristes sans voiture, Raiders, âge 55+, escapade romantique, Familles avec adolescents
