About the property

The house is situated in the centre of Sliema, a stone throw's away from the bus terminus with buses to Valletta - the Capital city built by the Knights of St. John famous for its lovely churches, baroque palaces, known as the town built by gentlemen for gentlemen, Mdina also known as the Silent City, Golden Sands a lovely sandy beach and Cirkewwa where one can take the ferry to cross over to Gozo - our sister island worth a one day visit during your stay in Malta.

Only 50 metres away you can find a great variety of shops, pharmacies, banks, a very well stocked super-market, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, jewellery shops and a launderette.

A ferry which enables you to cross over to Valletta (a 5 minute trip ) across the Sliema Creek. You can also find Pleasure cruise boats with trips around the harbour or a trip to Comino and open top sightseeing buses ( Hop on Hop off ) covering the north and south of the island.

Sliema is situated just 5 kilometres away from St. Julians and Paceville, 2 vibrant towns ideal for those who enjoy their night life.

In a nutshell the property is situated right in the middle of town with all the advantages this entails and yet its nestled in a quite side street distant from the vibrant and hectic life one assimilates to a City centre.

It was ok, basic accommodation

Basement flat with basic accommodation. Good location if you like to be in the middle of everything as it is very close to main transport routes, restaurants and shops. Best used as a base if you don’t intend to spend a lot of time in it. It can feel a little oppressive and noisy as the bedroom windows are at kerb level so need to be kept shut to avoid car exhaust fumes and noise from passing vehicles. Not the best beds, and nylon bedding made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Bedding and towels (one each) were not changed during our 10 night stay. Kitchen ok for preparing snacks but difficult for full meals as very little preparation space. Owners were very friendly and unobtrusive, and made us welcome.

Great location

Friendly but not intrusive hosts.

Very close to transport hub, buses and ferry to Valetta and supermarket, restaurants etc.

Il Merill restaurant across the road from the apartment was very good.

Perfect apartment for a fantastic holiday!!

Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone! Just steps away from main promenade and central for ferries and buses. Perfect location and Edward and family could not have been anymore helpful. Extremely comfortable apartment and it has everything you would need ..with the added extra of lovely terrace to sit and enjoy a tea or coffee.

perfect place

We loved Edward's place and our stay all together. Edward and his family are lovely and did everything to make us feel welcome. In the apartment there was everything we needed and we always felt welcome to ask them if we needed something. The location was perfect for us as we were there to run the half marathon and the transportation to the start as well as the finish were only a short walk away. In general it seems like a strategic position, good supermarket close by, nice cafes and ice cream shops =)

We would definitely recommend Edward's place and would use it again if travelling to Malta in the future.
