Our flat is in the heart of Renaissance Rome. It is on the second floor of a building dating back to between 1590 and 1595, when Sixtus V was pope. It is practically in the famous market square, Campo de’ Fiori, formerly the place where the popes held executions. It is now one of the most attractive and famous market squares in the world. Our sitting room windows look onto a tiny ancient piazzetta, piazzetta degli Acetari (see photographs). The flat itself is not very big,but it has a very spacial air of warmth and cosiness, with the ancient oak beams and ceilings uncovered. The flat consists of :
1)Sitting room with sofa bed (double) with CD, radio, audio tape player and TV.
2) Bathroom with shower.
3) Dining room cum kitchen (open space). The kitchen is fully equipped, with dishwasher etc.
4) Tiny children’s room, where by exploiting the very high ceiling we have built an IKEA-style intermediate floor/mezzanine which holds a double bed. There is no standing space in this mezzanine floor. Beneath this there is a cosy little niche with a third bed.
5) Tiny study with piano
6) Double bedroom with vast bed and colossal rococo mirror right in front of it.
7) Tiny cloakroom cum closet with washing machine.
Sum total of beds: 7 (but have to be a group of very loving and tolerant people if you use all beds).
Beautiful place with lots of character, Anna & Paolo were very friendly. Streets still noisy at night, so you'll have to keep the windows closed if you want to sleep, but that's the price for staying right there.
The Internet has been upgraded (see earlier reviews), is now unlimited and very fast.
Bottom line: highly recommended.
Situated perfectly just off Campo de Fiori. Ideal for all major venues.
Spacious old world apartment. Comfortable beds. Good kitchen.
Sitting Room and Piano room ! Loved it.
We felt instantly at home here and hope to book for next year.

Very cozy apartment. Functional kitchen and washing machine were great for our family. Location is fantastic being so close to all the major sites in Rome. Must bring ear plugs if sleeping in front room as noise does not cease until 2:30 AM. Unfortunately, wifi intermittent to non existent for much of our 8 day stay. We are nonetheless grateful to Anne and Mario for hosting us in Rome! Grazie mille!
Great place but if you have the windows open it can get noisy at night. Central. We had an issue with the wifi, but outside of this I highly recommend this home. The owners generally are quick to communicate.
Great location just a few metres from Campo dei fiori. Bigger than the pictures suggest. Well equipped kitchen. It feels very much like staying in someone's home. Excellent value for money. We were 3 adults and 3 children (8, 5 and 2) and we had no problems space wise.
Our only complaint is most of the pillows need changing - as they are either very hard and big or lumpy!! I agree with previous reviews that the master bedroom is quite noisy when the windows are open.
Owner was very responsive when wifi stopped working.
All in all great place!

Via del Pellegrino is so called because it used to be the thoroughfare for pilgrims to reach the Vatican. The whole district is in pure Renaissance style, the celebrated Campo de'Fiori being just 15 metres from us. The place oozes charm, with old furniture shops, fashionable bars and haute cuisine restaurants door to door.
