This property is truly spectacular! I've stayed in many places on Maui but none have offered the views, tranquility and state of aloha that this place gives. Throw your plans out the window because you'll really just want to sit on that porch and soak it all in. The owners have provided such attention too detail and design that make it a place you never want to leave. I went there much in need of rest and relaxation and left feeling so rejuvenated and just full of happiness and island life. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook including the best view in the world. The master bedroom and bathroom are like their own private beach bungalow that have you sleeping to the sound of waves and waking up to ocean vistas. Clear out space on your camera and get ready for some of the best sunsets of your life, I even saw a Moonbow one night! The only problem is that now I don't want to ever stay anywhere else!
We love this house so much we've stayed twice. The ocean view is amazing. Every morning we would throw open the doors to the lanai and breath in the fresh ocean air. Our morning coffee often turned into hours of watching the whales and turtles play while we postponed our other plans. The gated community is quiet and welcoming and the house has everything you need. We've been to Maui 10 times now and this house is by far the best we've stayed in.
I’m sure everywhere in Maui is beautiful; but, this really is a special place.
Originally, I thought we would spend half the time here and half the time out and about exploring Maui. But, the lanai and comfort of this home and gated community changed our minds. We basically spent about 90% of the time here and 10% away. It was way too special and serene not to.
This house makes you feel so comfortable and at home. Every room, space, and niche just soaks you in comfort. [The gears immediately shift from Drive to Neutral and then to Park!]
Drinks at sunset trump any happy hour anywhere. We’ve enjoyed lots of places; but, this one took first place in the rest and relaxation spot.
Our vacation on Maui was the best ever. Maui is much more laid back and enjoyable to us than Oahu. The beauty of 23 Alaeloa and its convenience to so many attractions really made our trip unforgettable. Staying here was the best decision ever, especially when traveling with elderly ladies, age 92 and 79. The comfortable, beautifully decorated, upscale beach style of this ocean front home had amazing views (Moloka'i is just across the channel). Obviously the owner's attention to details throughout the home created a perfect vacation destination. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai for hours on end. Loved watching the sea turtle families swim around just offshore. The boats, paddle boards, surfers and kayaks were entertaining to watch. My husband loved cooking in the great, fully equipped kitchen. And our meals tasted so much better eaten out on the lanai. Even sunsets and rainbows were more beautiful. During our nine day stay we only ate out four times counting the Old Lahaina Luau, Cheeseburgers in Paradise, Leilani's for lunch and Leilani's for dessert later the same day.) I appreciated having the laundry room to keep the towels and clothes washed up during our stay, making it easy packing to return to the mainland. We swam in the refreshing private community saline pool and walked the well kept grounds of this safe, gated community. Such a pleasure to experience a taste of paradise. We definitely hope to go back, we loved it!
Beautiful house and amazing view. The community is also beautiful and well cared for. Kitchen was fully equipped and lots of thoughtful touches throughout the house with everything we needed during our stay. I will always remember having coffee on the lanai while watching the sunrise, watching the turtles during the day, and the amazing sunsets at the end of the day. Could be tough for families with toddlers as there are a lot of things to break. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.
My family and I loved our stay in this house. The view is amazing. We spent hours just relaxing on the lanai and watching the whales and turtles, surfers and snorklers. The house has beautiful hardwood floors and antique furniture and everything you need. Eric was very helpful and quick to correct a couple of small issues we had: the information emailed to us had the wrong house address! and wrong wifi code, but as I said Eric fixed those issues immediately.
A word of advice to the owner: every surface area was covered with gew gaws (or nick nacks?), even the stove! There was no place to put our stuff until we moved all the gew gaws to one area. Annoying. Also, more importantly, the only dining table is outside on the lanai, and there are only 4 chairs. If you are going to advertise room for 6 you should supply 6 chairs for dining! As well, the only dining table is on the lanai. During our stay we had high winds and cool temperatures (for Hawaii) so a few of our evening dinners were not that pleasant. You should have an inside table. Just some constructive advice, I still give your home 5 stars.
