Great Appartment

The apartment is very large around 900sqft. It is clean and well kept (unlike most hotels). Whoever commissioned the construction spent a lot on the marble, granite and hardwood decor. It was all finished to a high standard and looked like it had been made in a joinery shop. I was also impressed by the traditional coving throughout. The advertising images on the website are terrible, they make the place look rubbish. I assure you it isn't.

Arinage itself is fairly run down, there is definitely a feeling of poverty. Some junkies are often making deals in the main seafront area. Sorry to the Owner because I kept putting our scooter in the hallway, nobody parks in the street. Despite the run-down feeling, Arinage is pleasant because there are no chav tourists around. There are no neon light bars, or chav expats touting you an English breakfast or painful karaoke night. Around the corner is a learner windsurf beach, you can walk to it. It's fairly desolate but pleasant.

We were concerned that it is only 5 miles from the airport, but we didn't notice any plane noise.

The only improvement is that the owner needs to leave a heater. We got the flu and really needed it.

Excellent Apartment!

Had a lovely relaxed week at this apartment. It is very well equipped and now has a hair drier! The photos don't do it justice as the balcony is amazing with spectacular views. Lola made us so welcome and was always happy to help if we needed her. Thank you, Lola.x

"A penthouse apartment of our dreams in a quiet canarian village (few tourists, no hotels), large living and kitchen area, super terrace with frontal seaview on the bay of Arinaga, supermarkets and restaurants in a walking distance. Well equiped but no hair dryer, staircaise (not for disabled people). The village of Arinaga is situated at the east coast of the island (10 minutes' drive from the airport, 20 minutes' drive to the south, for example to Playa del Inglés or Maspalomas and a 25 minutes' drive to the capital Las Palmas). There is also a bus connection to the south. We were very pleased with our stay and absolutely would like to return in the future."

"A lovely apartment directly facing the sea, clean and modern, in Spanish seaside town - note no English people anywhere apart from us, & none spoken at all. Quiet location, a few restaurants and supermarkets but other shopping limited, however good bus services so Las Palmas, Maspalomas etc all within easy reach. Parking may be a problem if you have a hire car, best to check with owner.

We were stranded by the volcanic ash and the owner was very helpful in re-arranging her bookings so we could stay an extra few days.

Highly recommended if you want a quiet stay in a tourist-free and english-free place.

Note that there is one room with double bed, one with bunk beds and one with single bed and additional Z-bed available. All other facilities in the flat were good and as advertised.

We really enjoyed our stay there."

Fantastisk semester i Arinaga den lilla fiskebyn inte långt från flygplatsen

Vi är mkt nöjda med boendet som ligger precis intill strandpromenaden. Vi vaknade till ljudet av hav och vågor och somnade till det samma. Lägenheten på tredje våningen passade oss precis och hade den utrustning som vi behövde. Lugnt och stilla både i huset och omgivningarna vilket bidrog till trivsel och avkoppling. Lägenhetens ägare är positiv och lätt att ha kontakt med. Hon fanns på plats när vi anlände och hjälpte oss tillrätta. Den balkong som hörde till lägenheten var fantastisk och där njöt vi av både måltider och härliga stunder i solen. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta boende.
