Nice retreat up north
We enjoyed our experience! The cabin is well equipped for a rustic place. We grilled several times, had a bonfire in the outdoor pit, fished, walked the Bearskin Creek trail, and more. The dogs loved it too :)
Brought my daughters for a getaway and was very relaxing. I only wish the fishing was better for them but they still had fun .
Absolutely beautiful property on 2 lakes and woods..so peaceful ..second time I have stayed here..and will be back again!!!
Thanks so much!
Great place and great times!
Had a great time, cottage was small but cozy.
Wish the dock to the front lake was a little more convenient when using the canoe and paddle boat. The second lake and campsite we did not use due to all the foliage in that area. Needs to be cleared out a little more. Other than that, the fire pit by the cabin was wonderful. Had alot of fun relaxing and getting ourselves scared late at night. Cabin had everything that we needed and supplied netflix on the the rain days when we had to stay inside.
Remote and secluded with endless hiking trails!
My husband and I and our two Border Collies stayed at Kings Cottage for the first time and we absolutely loved it, can't wait to go back!
The cabin is older, small and rustic, yet comfy and cozy (with a full kitchen, heat, A/C, a woodstove, and a wood fired sauna that we didn’t try), and you don't go here to hang out indoors anyway, you go for the wide open spaces, peace and quiet, and beautiful outdoor property!
We hiked for a couple hours each day for five days and we still ended up on hiking trails we had not been on yet, there are so many options! The two little lakes are so pretty with the floating bog land, we had not experienced that before, and while we didn’t take advantage of any of the watercraft, there are options to use at both lakes.
Loved the fire pit and the enclosed porch (for a respite from the horrendous north woods mosquitoes), and loved that we never saw another car or another person, and didn’t have to listen to the annoying buzzing of ATV’s, all we saw were birds, frogs, turtles and deer, and all we heard were birds, frogs, and coyotes.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful property and especially for allowing us to bring our dogs, they loved it too!
The wilderness setting of our property offers artists and photographers an unparralel viewing experience. You will see pristene lakes that are still in their natural state. Few of these lakes still exist today in northern Wisconsin. Wildwood Wildlife Park is a great place to bring the entire family! Kids will enjoy looking and learning about a variety of animals. They even have a petting zoo! This park is located 2 miles west of Minocqua on Highway 70. Holiday Acres boasts 3 go cart tracks, miniature golf, pony rides and horseback riding! It is located at 7994 Hwy 51 S. in Minocqua. for reservations call (715) 356-4400. The Pinewood golf course is conveniently located 2 miles to the northwest of our property. The willow flowage and American Legion Forest are both located within 6 miles of our property.
