OK for a long stay

We actually stayed in Fred's other property at 43 Primavera which is directly across from the listed flat.

In the area around the complex there is a lot of dereliction but many properties have been improved or are in the process of being improved. Our flat was a bit on the tired side but at this price I wouldn't expect anything else. Fred explained about the way things work or not and how to keep the place secure. He did say the water was a bit like in Africa, which is true in that water pressure is very low. Not a problem once you get used to it. The gardens at the Primavera are extensive and very well looked after and towards the end of our stay some work was being undertaken near the old reception building. One big plus for the complex is the gigantic pool, which is behind a security fence and accessed via a gate where a security man keeps a record of visitors apartment numbers. There would have been a snack bar at the pool when it was a full on tourist accommodation but now it's just the pool, loads of sun beds and a ping pong table. The good point of this is you won't have to suffer the booming 'music' of and animation team (hooray!).

Costa del Silencio is a nice neck of the woods if you take a look around. The area at the top of the main road does appear to be better looked after the the Ten Bel area behind the Primavera Complex and there are loads of bars and restaurants to be had. Las Galletas is just a ten minute walk and the not to be missed thing about there is the fish market. It's only a row of small stalls which are on the edge of the harbour but the fish is superb and really cheap. Two good sized Tuna steaks cut in front of me was €3 and cooked beautifully with lime and coriander wrapped in foil. If you want to go into Los Christianos etc. the busses are frequent and cheap, €1.50 on the 467 to Los Chritianos. Excursion busses pick up at the Ten Bel tower taxi / bus stop.

So, Fred is a really friendly and helpful person and responds immediately on whats app to any problems you may have. The electric tripped a couple of times during our stay and needed the breaker to be put back in at a distribution box outside the front door. Not a big deal but may not be to everyone's liking. Whilst I would not stay in the apartment again, mainly because it was facing the wrong way for the light and the security bars totally enclosed the terrace, I would recommend Fred as a host and the area of Costa del Silencio for a long term stay.

Equipped for everything

Just returned from a week's holiday in this apartment. Very clean apartment with lots of cutlery, plates, cups, glasses and pans. The complex is fairly quiet considering how many apartments are there. The pool is quiet also.

I think the only downside was the fact that it was directly below the flight path for the airport, but I even got used to that.

Definitely recommend it.

Perfect location

Perfect apartment for long or short term stay. Very reasonably priced, clean and welcoming. Fabulous pool and only a short walk to Las Galletas. Plenty of cafes and restaurants close by and a great supermarket just across the road. What more could you ask for? Fred was a great host. I'll be back next year.

Nice and clean lovely apartment in a safe area.

Large car parking lot, clean, safe and nice pool.

Very good place: near the ocean and small beach, good restaurants, supermarket.

All you need for holidays! Very happy with our stay. Will use again definitely.

We didn't actually stay i...

We didn't actually stay in this apartment as it was already booked but was offered another similar but smaller apartment in the same town. The apartment was well equipped and clean and tidy. It was very quiet and had a shared pool. We found our way to the meeting point with no trouble to collect our keys. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful and gave us tips on where to go on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed Tenerife and will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

"We are very pleased with our stay in this apartment. Everything was great! Very convenient location, close to touristic centres, just few minutes walk to the coast. We reached the meeting point with the owner without any problems from South airport just in 15 min. It is well equipped, with all necessary facilities and dishes. Nice and relaxed atmosphere for good holidays with no worries. Hope it was not last our trip, so, for sure we will choose the staying here next time! It is great pleasure to communicate with hospitable and friendly owner!

From the airport from the south, take the direction "los cristianos", exit at "San Miguel Las Galletas" and follow "las galletas." You will pass three service stations.

the first a las "Chafiras" straight out of the highway, you will see an intersection on your right has 2 or 3 km, take it down to "Guargacho" the second service station is a right hand after 3 km, down to "las galletas" .. there is a third station on your left, take the first left AVENIDA JOSE ANTONIO ALFONSO Tavío and park as soon as possible (there is a small entrance on your right after passing the supermarket) Street Andromeda. The apartment is very close up in the parking lot on your right.
