We are centrally situated to arguably the most premier skiing in north america aspen, vail/beaver creek and locally ski sunlight.

After a day enjoying the great outdoors come back relax and enjoy the quiet and tranquility of the beautiful mountain's.

Majority of the year it is not an issue, but to take advantage of the gorgeous views the driveway is quite steep so weather can definitely be a factor. As it would be for all the rocky mountains good tires and 4 wheel or front wheel drive are definitely recommended during the winter season.

About Maureen Maznio

The owners are Steve 'Maz' and Maureen 'Mo' Maznio. We both moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1982. Maz from the North Woods of Wisconsin and Mo from Upstate New York. Being outdoor enthusiasts, we found that Glenwood Springs is the perfect fit for us.

The valley offer nearly any activity that you could imagine and the people are great! We couldn't see ourselves living anywhere else!

Maureen Maznio purchased this apartment in 2008

Why Maureen Maznio chose Northwest Colorado

We fell in love with this property as soon as we saw it. It was definitely the million dollar views that sold us. The house was built by Maz, a custom home builder. We finally had the perfect location and a chance to build our dream custom timber frame home for ourselves.

What makes this apartment unique

As you will undoubtedly agree, the location and the views are certainly what drew us to this place. We can't get enough of it!

Amazing views! Private and relaxing.

The home was warm and welcoming. The bottle of wine accompanied by Mo's homemade mustard and pretzels were the perfect gift. We were quite comfortable. We had all we needed in the kitchen. And the bedrooms were both comfortable and roomy. It was awesome to see it rain on the mountain from the patio and hear the rumble of the thunder. Shortly after that, a beautiful rainbow appeared between the mountains. The road up to the property was quite a view in itself. We couldn't have selected a more perfect home to stay while in this beautiful state. We hope to be able to return and stay here again. Excellent choice!

Our family of 5 spent a lovely weekend at this beautiful apartment. Everything was perfect! Everything you'd hope for in a getaway rental and more. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bowls, mugs, appliances etc. The view is absolutely incredible from both bedrooms and living room. Our 3 children didn't want to leave and enjoyed having Earl stop by every now and then. Mo and Maz live upstairs but you'd never be able to tell, it was always so quiet and peaceful. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine and a bottle of Mo's delicious mustard (which I plan to order when mine runs out). It's perfectly situated in a very private location, but still close to everything. We absolutely loved our stay and we're already planning our next trip!

Glenwood Springs Hideaway...

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent an entire week that included Thanksgiving at Maz and Mo's vacation rental. Access was very easy, just a short drive from I-70 and although the road to the house looks a little steep, Maz kept it clear, even after a minimal snowfall. Inside was spacious and each bedroom has a great window view. My wife appreciated the well stocked kitchen, large refrigerator and spacious bathroom area. Mo was a most gracious host, having a welcoming bottle of wine and her own mustard. There was even bottled water already cold in the refrigerator. And although they live above the rental, we never really knew they were there and if there ever was a problem, they were easily reached. Highly recommended...

Relaxing Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed two quiet days at this property. 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs and not a bored moment. Very cozy, well decorated inside. Beautiful view and plenty of places to walk and explore outside. I loved hearing the creek running down the hill and the kids enjoyed getting muddy in it! Enjoy your stay here and say hi to Earl.

Great location, house, view, getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I almost hate to write this review to try to keep the place to ourselves. :) The house was amazing from the moment we arrived. The drive there was 15 minutes from town, but far away enough to feel secluded and quiet. We had a girls weekend with a spa day. After we arrived, we had to leave again to town for our spa, but it was hard to get motivated to leave. The house was perfect for the 4 of us. Two bedrooms, one with a numbers bed, both a good size. The kitchen was small enough to cook meals and the living space was perfect for relaxing. The outside are was the jaw dropper. It had a great hammock! A firepit for those cold nights, a table and chairs, and a grill. We wanted to stay outside all day to enjoy the view. The pictures in the listing don't due it justice. You need to see it to appreciate it. Mo was very welcoming, with wine bottle and home made mustard for us. When you think it might be uncomfortable to have her upstairs, you soon forget they are there. It helped us one time since we couldn't find the bottle opener. Mo was able to run downstairs and save the day with one! HA :) A diamond for sure! We will return, after a small hiccup with our reservation, and we plan to get another visit and spend more time relaxing.
