This two story carriage house has an open floor plan downstairs with a living room, dining area and full kitchen. Upstairs there are two queen bedrooms and one full bath (tub/shower). For your convenience there is also a washer and dryer. Parking is free in the owner's driveway. You can walk to everything from this location; shops and restaurants are just 2 blocks away, the old Slave Market is 2 blocks away, and a large Harris Teeter Grocery store, which is open 24/7, is about 2 blocks away. As a private home bed and breakfast it is exempt from sales tax, but does have an accommodation tax. The owners stock the kitchen with breakfast items so your breakfast is self-served. You can enjoy your coffee or tea really early or later if you wish!

Excellent Stay

This was a great place to stay with two couples and very convenient to all of downtown Charleston. House was spacious and very well maintained and the continental breakfast in the fridge was a great welcoming touch! We even go to meet the owners who were extremely pleasant. I highly recommend this place and will stay here again when we return to Charleston.

Beautiful carriage home! Very quaint and quiet. Well stocked. Owners very nice and available if any needs arise. Perfect location. No car needed to enjoy downtown.

Comfortable and convenient

My sister and I spent five days at this lovely carriage house on Hasell Street. It provided a comfortable and convenient 'home away from home' for us while exploring historic Charleston. It is located on a quiet street but just a few minutes walk to the Markets, to the restaurants and shopping on Meeting Street and King Street and to the Waterfront Park. The owner provided continental breakfast treats in the refrigerator for our entire stay. A big draw for us was the off-street parking! We'd definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Location with Charleston Charm

What was not to love?! The Carriage House has lots of tradition Charleston charm. It was also in the perfect location. It is within walking distance of everything Charleston has to offer. Everyone we dealt with was helpful, and they went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. They allowed us to check in ahead of our projected arrival. They provided extra items such as tasty muffins, bread, pastries, milk, etc. for breakfast. The parking was free and right in front of the Carriage House not on the street or in a lot. Everyone on our trip agreed that we will definitely stay here again. Thanks again for everything!

Super cute carriage house in a fantastic location.

Lovely little carriage house located minutes (walking) to the Market, King St., etc. We have stayed in several places in Charleston over the years and this is by far our favorite. You could stay in a hotel deeper into the historic district, but you will pay twice as much for a quarter of the space and a tenth of the privacy. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Top notch service from reservation through check out. Going forward, this will be our first choice when we are visiting Charleston.

Better than we even expected!

You will not find a better location or a more comfortable place to stay in Charleston. We walked everywhere and were able to prepare our own meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The owners were amazingly nice -- They assisted us with the fireplace, internet connection & even allowed us to leave our car so we could spend an extra day wandering the town. Fantastic getaway!!!
