I am a woman of 48 years, mother of 2 children aged 16 and 11 years old, I love to read and listen to the musica.Per over 20 years I have been designer and product manager for a large company of sportswear. Now I prefer to enjoy the peace and quiet of my wonderful countryside in the Chianti region.
Beatrice Pieralli purchased this chateau / country house in 2000
We purchased the village of Vichiaccio in 2000. Born in Florence and we were looking for a place not too far from the city but at the same time could offer a haven of peace, surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and smog. We love house that have a history and flavor of their time and have loved every day with passion, hard work that slowly has allowed us to transform the old ruins in what is now our refuge.Aside from being the owners of the House we are, above all things, keen travellers.
We visited many countries by train, car, airplane and even motorbike.
Therefore, we are well aware of how important it is to find a cosy and hospitable accommodation which is up to our needs, our expectations and our taste.
Unfortunately, we also know very well how frustrating it is to see our desired and much awaited vacation becoming a disappointment or, even worse, an unpleasant experience altogether.
Because of this, it is of the greatest importance for us to make perfectly clear what we can offer and what we cannot offer, so as to avoid disappointments or bad surprises for our guests when they arrive.
Here you will find some infos about what we can offer:
The view over the Chianti vineyards and the proximity to the city of Florence (only 20 minutes) make it an ideal base for visiting Tuscany enjoying its beauty.
Siena and San Gimignano are just 40 minutes away.
Our rural village is the result of a great work of restoration that lasted 8 years and who has engaged in a total way me and my husband. All the details of the building, the stones, the furnishings speak of our love for our country and our places of origin.
The minipool/SPA Jacuzzi for 6 person is at your exclusive use
In the hot season or If you don't need heating, the use is for free
In the cold season , with the heating of the water, the cost for unlimited use is:
15€ for one day.
20€ for two days
40€ for five days
45€ for seven days
We were only able to stay two night here but loved every minute of it. Beatrice and her husband were so helpful in getting us settled and answering any questions or providing suggestions for restaurants, etc. The house is charming and furnished with everything needed. The location surrounded by vineyards was perfect, and convenient to exploring Tuscany. Highly recommended!
Our family of 10, including 2 infants and 2 kids, stayed the San Angelo house. It was very spacious and had enough bedrooms and sleeping quarters for everyone. There is no common areas except for the kitchen so we had to hang out there which isn't a bad thing since someone is always eating anyway! The pool is great and very picturesque! We used the jacuzzi to cool down (didn't turn on the heat function) with a drink after a long hot day because it had massaging jets.
We enjoyed the outdoor spaces until twilight but had to go inside because of the mosquitoes. The house was semi-cool since it's made of stone but it's warmed up being in the sun all day. There is no A/C but we were out for most of the day anyway so it wasn't necessary. There were mosquito nets on every window so you could sleep with the windows open for better ventilation.
Laundry was a very much a necessity for us but everything had to be hung dry which wasn't an issue in the 35 degree sun!
The property was clean, spacious and beautiful. We loved Beatrice who was so helpful and nice. We would love to go back
We were a group of ten family members ages 1 to 72 traveling together in Italy. We chose Beatrice's property based on her ad and her reviews. In no way were we disappointed during our stay. The rustically beautiful apartment was as advertised, quite clean and adequately stocked with essentials. It easily housed all of us comfortably. We split into three logical groups in the three bedrooms but congregated mostly on the first floor in the kitchen area. It was easily large enough for all of us to prepare food and sit to table together. The setting is picturesque and peaceful, right in the middle of several vineyards. The property itself is clean and well arranged for peaceful relaxation. And certain members enjoyed a fair amount of time in the hot tub. It was close enough to Florence and Pisa for day trips to both. The slice of Italian countryside we travelled through to and from Beatrice's was for me a real pleasure -- but then I was not the one driving. As an American encountering Italian back roads and small Italian towns and villages for the first time I was quite enthralled and pleased we had chosen this not so out of the way place. As a group we can unanimously recommend this property to anyone and everyone.
"We (9 adults and 2 kids) spent 9 days in this magnificent location "Il Vichiaccio" and our stay there was beyond our expectations. We had done research on Tuscany but we had never imagined that it would be that beautiful. The pictures we had seen and the articles we had read before going there were nothing compared to what we found there: an old, restored farmhouse which displays a well-balanced combination of modern and traditional, a very nice and hospitable family with whom we spent pleasant moments, stunning views, endless peace and quiet, the peculiar flavour of the Tuscan countryside and last but not least, the taste of the famous Chianti wine.
It is the perfect location to visit Florence, Siena and the whole Chianti region and we recommend it to all those who are looking for a piece of earthly heaven.
It was one of the best holidays we have ever had and we don't expect to forget it any time soon!!!"
