"This house is a very special place to stay,we felt an"out of time" sensation all the time. The vews to the sea and the island are superb! the little house is full of charm, very cozy, with thick walls, wooden floors and many books. The only thing which could be improved in it is the bath room which is perfectly clean but a bit difficult to shower in.

The village is beautifull,incredibly

peacefull, which is something amacing in august, when it is impossible to find a non crowded place near the sea.The whole island is special an worth a visit. We would highly recomend it."

"I come every year to this interesting small house on the beautiful island of Amorgos. The delightful upper rooms lead to a terrace overlooking the Aegean. The view is fantastic. You can lunch and spend the afternoom reading under the parasol. The sunsets are spectacular, The pleasant downstairs kitchen is well equipped (beautiful bowls for salads, etc.) The writer owner retained the Cycladic architecture when she restored the house and water is scarce on the island so do not expect a penthouse style bathroom. Carolina is very hospitable and does everything she can to ensure that you have a good holiday. Minutes away are several tavernas, an excellent bakery and two friendly small supermarkets. Enjoy your stay!"

The port of Aegiali on Amorgos is reached by ferry prom Piraeus (see www.bluestarferries.com) There are also three boats a week from Naxos, and others to Katapola 15 Km away. The village accessible by bus and taxi from the port. The walk to the port and the sandy beach takes about 40 minutes on a beautiful old stone paved muletrack.

Visitors should be aware that this is an old house with a small, not very modern bathroom reached by an exterior staircase. The gorgeous views make up for it.
