About the property

Ideally situated within a 5 minute walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. The apartment was completely renovated in 2008 to a high standard. The apartment has 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, one of which is a shower room. There is an open plan kitchen with a lounge and dining area. There is also a small laundry room in the apartment. There are 2 balconies in the apartment, with a table and chairs on one, which provide stunning sea views towards Garachico. The apartment block has a supermarket on site. The village of San Marcos is a small fishing village just a short way from the town of Icod.

"Mostly OK, a replacement...

"Mostly OK, a replacement of the battered aluminium teapot would be nice, and a hair dryer would save transporting one.

Surroundings: Apartment fine, cleanliness fine, hadn't understood the size of the large block.

Noise - at this time of year the surroundings were quiet.

Westerly View was good, no worning sun.

Access OK, parking on waste ground opposite."

"The apartment was lovely...

"The apartment was lovely, nice and spacious and it had everything in it that we needed. The apartment is only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, the beach is really nice with local bars which served some great food.

The bus service was quite reliable for getting around and very cheap."

The owners were very helpful on recommendations of places to eat and places to visit.

Would definitely go again."

"We were the first to stay in Margaret and Ivan’s apartment and we found them the perfect hosts. They were enthusiastic and eager to ensure we had a relaxed and happy stay at their apartment, which we did. The apartment is newly refurbished and is clean with modern facilities. The apartment is located in a peaceful area very close to the bay of San Marcos . It has a lovely clean beach, fantastic sunsets and a good selection of bars and restaurants, some serving fresh fish straight from that days catch. There is a shop on site, which is good if you want to cook in the beautiful new kitchen; it’s like home from home. The facilities are perfect for a large family like mine. Icod de los Vinos is just 10 minutes away by car. We felt that having a hire car was good to explore the island; however, the apartment is on the local bus route so is not essential. The bedrooms were very comfortable. We will be back next year. "

You are 2 minutes drive from the main link road which will take you all the way around the island. The North Airport, is 40 minutes drive from the apartment with the South Aiport being 1 hour 15 minutes drive. Directions can be given upon booking.

Fresh fish can be bought every morning in San Marcos Harbour from the local fishermen. In Icod you can visit the Drago Tree which is rumoured to be over 1000 years old. Walk along the cobbled streets of Icod and visit one of the many coffee shops and tapas bars, along with all of your shopping requirements.

If you hire a car you can visit Punta de Teno at the end of the island which looks down the coast to Los Gigantes. Also you can go up Mount Teide, stopping off at many bars/restaurants and view points along the way.

Rates shown are for 2 people sharing, for each additional adult there is an extra charge of 50€ per person per week. Airport collection can be arranged, rates to be agreed.
