Located in Ménil, a small Vosgien village of 1100 inhabitants "Le Clos du Mapré" welcomes you in a green and surrounded by mountains.

Built on a raised ground of 2600 m ², along creek, you will discover the calm and the changing colors of the nature.

With family or friends, come and relax, relax in this idyllic setting and enjoy this exceptional accommodation, created for your comfort with these 5 rooms.

The large bay window of the living room and adjoining kitchen allow direct access to the terrace overlooking the mountains and terrain, not overlooked.

The large playground with its complete layout: football goals, swing, babington net, ping pong table, sneaker pole and a bowling green will complete your hobbies.

The swimming pool complies with the regulations applicable to private pools for collective use. It is heated by solar panels whose temperature is regulated according to the meteorological conditions.

Analysis of the water carried out by the IPL laboratory Environment Health is transmitted to the ARS (Regional Health Agency) and meets the hygiene and safety standards.

The indoor pool located a few meters from the cottage, fully refurbished, allows you to swim from May to September. Access to the pool has been specially designed to allow younger children to play with confidence in the presence of their parents.

The design of the closed shelter gives you the opportunity to circulate freely, sheltered from the wind, in a pleasant environment.

The opening of the pool is automated: it is covered and discoverable by you, allowing swimming in all weathers.

Located a few meters from the house, it is in service from May to the end of September, shared with a gite of 5 people and included in the rental price

Possibility of benefiting from the SPA and Hammam, completely independent of the lodging, privileging however the swimming pool in summer.

Fantastic house, fantastic owner

This is a fantastic house in a lovely setting, ideal for large families and groups of friends.

The house is very clean and well maintained. It is also very well equipped with fridge and freezer, oven, grill/oven, microwave, a variety of crepe makers, food processor and other equipment. There is a washing machine, drier and dishwasher.

Downstairs is a large living/dining room which can accommodate 10 without being cramped. A large dining room table provides a centre piece for eating, socialising, games etc. There is a satellite television, iPod dock, and DVD.

Downstairs there is also a kitchen, small double bedroom, separate toilet, large bathroom with shower, and access to the garage which is great for cycles and motorcycles.

Upstairs there are two good sized double bedrooms, a good twin, and a room with four well spaced singles. All the beds are comfortable no complaints from back sufferers!). There is another separate toilet, and another large bathroom with shower.

The house is well equipped with games, and the large garden has football goals, badminton net, and basketball net. A stream runs through the bottom of the garden. There is a large patio table, chair and sun loungers.

The heated swimming pool is in the garden of a neighbouring property where the landlord lives, and is also shared with one other smaller cottage.

The house is as previously stated extremely well equipped with utensils, crockery, cooking equipment, BBQ etc.

It is set in a valley a short walk to the village of Le Menil where there is a butchers, bakers and tobacconists. A short 5-10 minute drive away is Le Thillot with a Intermarche supermarket, LIDL, ALDI and selection of other shops.

The area is spectacular, whether you are walking, cycling, motorcycling or in a car. With miles of lovely roads, lakes, and waterfalls.

The owner of the house is fantastic and will help with any problem or advice. He doesn’t speak English, we don’t speak very good French, but somehow that wasn’t a problem!

We stayed in August 2012 as a group of two couples and two singles and strongly recommend the property as a quiet, extremely comfortable, base for exploring the area.

Région et location parfaite pour nous

Déjà la troisième année qu'on retourne.

La location est magnifique et correspond à la description.

Les propriétaires sont très gentils et toujours prêt à aider si on a des questions.

La piscine est super, mais il y a aussi les autres choses à faire :

terrain de pétanque, ping pong, badminton, basketball, barbecue....

Tout cela dans une environnement calme, avec beaucoup de place.

Nous reviendrons de nouveau !

Vacances réussies

Les conditions météorologiques n'etaient pas très bons cette semaine aux Vosges (très frois) mais chaque jour le temps améliorait et nous avons realisé notre programme complet.

La maison spacieuse a été le point idéal de départ pour nos randonnées. En vélo, nous pouvons explorer l'environnement. Tous les sommets connus sont à une distance acceptable de Le Ménil. Le contact avec les propriétaires était correct et très sympathique. Tout ce qu'on a besoin pour passer des vacances sans soucis est disponible dans la maison.

Si nous revenons dans le futur aux Vosges avec un groupe, nous prendrons certainement contact à nouveau avec M. et Mme. Pernot.

Owner's Response: Nous remercions nos hôtes du petit instant qu’ils nous ont accordé en déposant leur appréciation, retraçant la qualité de la prestation leur ayant permis de séjourner dans le gîte dans les conditions de confort adhérant à leurs souhaits. La météo des Vosges ainsi que sur l’ensemble de la France durant cette période n’a pas été favorable ; pluie et froid mais s’est nettement améliorée durant le séjour et leur a même permis de profiter quotidiennement de la piscine. Ce sera avec beaucoup de plaisir que nous vous accueillerons à nouveau dans notre si belle région, les VOSGES.

Beaucoup d'espace et comfortable

La location est liee dans un endroit tres calme avec des belles panoramas. Le jardin et la gite sont tres spacieux et bien amenages. Les lits dorment tres bien et les salles de bains sont modernes. Nous etions une groupe de 5 cyclistes hollandais, et la gite est bien situe pour faire de bonnes routes a la montagne, pres de la Ballon d'Alsace. Apres de faire du velo, on s'a bien reposer dans le jardin. Mr et mme Pernot sont aimables, precises et ils nous ont bien aides.

Superbe

La maison correspond en tout point à la description. Équipement très complet et de qualité. L'accueil est chaleureux et professionnel. Le propriétaire reste à la disposition des visiteurs sans empiéter sur leur espace. Cerise sur le gâteau, l'espace détente (payant et séparé de la maison), d'une propreté exemplaire.

Attention toutefois aux familles avec des tout petits, la présence d'escalier entre le hall et cuisine et séjour peut nécessiter un peu d'attention. L'étage est par contre bien sécurisé avec une barrière. Idem pour le fond du jardin, où coule une rivière, (très joli !), non sécurisé par une clôture.

En ce qui nous concerne, le séjour était parfait (deux couples avec cinq enfants dont un bébé) et nous n'hésiterions pas à recommander le logement (et à y revenir).
