A local Vons grocery market and a Fresh & Easy grocery store are within a 5-minute walk. There is also a Friday Farmers Market a couple blocks away.

Easy Transit from LAX by metro. Take free shuttle in airport to metro station, take metro to Willow Station and change for the Blue Line towards Long Beach.

Free public transport in Long Beach to all touristic locations provided by red bus Passport.

Arrival: Regular Check In is at 4pm. Check Out is at 11am.

My wife & kids enjoy traveling, water sports, volleyball, & most beach sports -- but most importantly we love trying new restaurants and tasting great new foods!

Great place for a simple stay!

A much more casual rental experience than our previous VRBO adventures. We got contacted with check in information at 1200 noon the day we arrived. No previous rental agreement to sign or lengthy check in process. Julio was nice enough to change the code on the key lock box for us.

The rental is part of a quad plex. We had bottom right unit. The place was clean and comfortable. There were ceiling fans in every room which made it nice to cool off unit.

You could hear the people walking above us as any normal place and occasionally heard people from outside into the unit. There was a security screen and door with glass. You could inside to the unit for the porch. Didn't bug us much, just left all things out of site.

The architecture was neat and original hardward, inevitably some cabinets and drawers stuck some. The bathroom has been fully renovated. The shower was nice, good water pressure and really hot water.

We flew in and do not have a car parking did seem to be an issue but wasn't for us. Plenty of restaurants and bars within 0.3 miles away, even a Vons.

If you plan on cooking and staying at this rental for a while there was plenty of dishes and silverware but fridge was empty. We are used to non perishables remaining from previous renters, no here.

Not a great stay. Biggest complaint - parking! Got a parking ticket the first night. I had to go to a hotel the second night because there was absolutely no place to park. Circled for 45 minutes to no avail. Very disappointed.

Absolute joy, no complaints

The property manager, Brigitte, was most helpful in assisting in my early check-in at 1 p.m. She made the trip down to the apartment just to help me to open a Master Lock that I should've been able to open myself, and she was really warm and friendly.

The apartment itself was amazing, just as pictured. The heating worked well, and pretty much everything was well-stocked, from coffee to hand soap. Contrary to the other reviews, the noise level was actually non-existent when I stayed there (perhaps because it was a Sunday night). In the day, the apartment is well-lit with many windows and natural light streaming in. It would help if there was some soap in the bathroom and more power outlets in the bedroom (I found none), but otherwise this was a very pleasurable stay.

I have fond memories of this place and would return anytime I drop by Long Beach!

Spring Valley

Worst Experience EVER!

Within a half an hour of our arrival, we discovered there was no toilette paper. I contacted the property manager and she brought some over. Within the first 2 hours of our arrival, we began to hear arguments from the building next to us. The arguments were loud and disruptive. They persisted, intermittently, for the remainder of the evening. Additionally, between the hours of 8:30P and 11:30P we heard a series of gun shots, which the property manager admitted she also heard. During the course of our stay, we were also disturbed by repetitive loud stomping footsteps, which we brought to the managers attention. She indicated there were 5 guests above us and they would be leaving the next day. At 11:30P, we were interested in taking a shower. However, we were unable to do so, because there was no body soap, shampoo or conditioner, as advertised on their listing. Upon this discovery, I e-mailed the property owner. As well, I texted the property manager, so as not to disturb her so late in the evening. I would have expected someone would have reached out to me, by the time I awoke. However, there were no messages, or phone calls.

By 6:00A, Sunday, August 9, the guests upstairs were clearly up and at it again (e.g. stomping loudly and packing for their departure). By 9:00A, we were exasperated. So, we decided to take a shower and get out of the property for the day. Unfortunately, in preparing to take a shower, we walked into the bathroom and smelled mildew emitting from the tub. Furthermore, we saw dirty water and grime in the tub. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. A photo and video was provided to the owner, to dispute our charges.

We wound up securing a room with the name-brand hotel, on South Pine. We left the property without being able to take a shower and we did not feel safe in the neighborhood. We are extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

We expected that the owner would ensure our satisfaction, at experiencing no less than the basic of amenities. Using the bathroom, having it fully equipped, and functional, is not extra. It is usual and customary for a property renting itself out to paid guests. This property did not provide the basic privilege needed for a guest. Additionally, some of the door knobs were loose; majority of the windows did not open; and, not all of the screens were intact (i.e. if the windows were to be opened, bugs could fly flew).

Warning signs on building

There were warning signs that there were hazardous materials contained in the building. We had no heat or ac except for one day. It must have been controlled in another unit. The kitchen was not well equipped. There were no table lamps or rugs on the floor. There was no place to park. We had to park five blocks away and pay 25 a day to park. Good points- water was hot, shower worked fine, the washer and dryer worked great, the property manager was very nice, but the place was not.
