It is located at garden level of a “Niçoise” style house, located 3 kilometres from the village of Vence, very sunny, huge fully equipped private terrace (110 m2), panoramic sea view from every room, 1 parking spot. Brand new apartment, 60 m2 (about 600 square feet), two bedrooms, 2 “ensuite” baths, living room with small kitchen, best for family of 4/5 max.Large terrace.

We are family of 4, our 2 daughters lives for one in Canada in Montreal and the other one in Paris, we have lived in the United States 18 years and we are always happy to have guest coming from all over the world to discover Vence, the Riviera and Nice and its back country.

VENCE a Provencal town

It is a small and pleasant town located just inland from the Cote d’Azur. It has kept its traditional Provencal atmosphere, while having the Riviera hotspots of Monaco, Nice, Monte-Carlo and Antibes just a short drive away. Along with nearby St-Paul-de-Vence, there’s more contemporary art here than anywhere else in France

The historic centre

The old town has been beautifully preserved. A large number of medieval buildings form a tight circle around the central square. There are five gateways to get in, each with a unique design. The port d’Orient is the largest one and was designed so that the local bishop, Monseigneur Pisani de la Gaude could arrive at his Episcopal palace without having to leave his carriage.Vence has had a long history of artistic talent. The town is full of galleries showcasing the best of its many renowned residents’ artwork. One such individual is Pierre Vidal who described the town as ‘the sweet nest’. Another infamous resident was the writer, doctor and seer, Nostradamus, who also had kind words to bestow upon the town, “Garden of Vence, marvel of Provence”.

Vence has always been a market town. If you want to try some of the local produce then the best place to go is Rue du Marche. You shouldn’t have any trouble finding it if you follow the scents coming from the fish, flowers, honey, bakeries, fruit and vegetable stalls.

Très agréable avec une vue impressionante

l'appartement est assez grand, donne toutes les facilités nécessaires et se situe au milieu des pentes des Alpes Maritimes. La vue de la terrasse est impressionante! La propriétaire est très sympathique et nous donnait beaucoup d'infos utiles. Nous étions trés satisfait de notre séjour.

nice apartment, beautiful view, child-friendly

We passed wonderful holidays in this pretty and well-equiped apartment. The terrace is awesome. The whole Côte d'Azur and its hinterland can be reached very easily - by car, bus (from Vence) or train (Cagnes-sur-mer). The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We can only recommend this appartment!

A wonderful holiday

Beautiful location with fantastic views from the spacious patio. Located outside the picturesque , historical, small town of Vence which has lots of shops and restaurants . The property was very clean and well equipped . The proprietors were extremely helpful and went out of their way to be of assistance. We visited many places both inland and on the coast. We had a wonderful time ! You need a.car to get the most out of this property .

Calme, vue imprenable sur la mer

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique dans cette belle région. Le gîte est très confortable, calme,propre et les deux salles de bain sont très appréciables. Les photos sont totalement conformes et la vue est encore plus belle en vraie. La propriétaire est de bon conseil, discrète et nous avions beaucoup de guide à notre disposition. Vence est idéale pour parcourir la région. Il faudrait revenir l'été pour lézarder sur la belle terrasse.

-From the airport follow the "Autoroute"( blue arrow) direction : Cannes/Antibes/Sophia Antipolis

-Once you are on the motorway, the exit is the one called "Cagnes sur Mer / Vence" # 48, about 4 or 5 km from the airport.

- Once you exit the motorway (toll will be 50 cents), follow direction Vence,

-At the 3rd roundabout, go right, direction VENCE (to know that you are at the right place, on your right you should see the fire-fighters house (POMPIERS).

-Follow that road all the way to Vence, at the 4th round roundabout do not take right direction “Vence Cité Historique” but left across.

- Once in Vence, turn left direction Tourettes sur Loup and Saint Jeannet, shortly afterward turn right direction Saint Jeannet / gattières.

-You will pass on a small bridge, from there, the house is about 3 kilometres away. At the fork ahead, take right, this road is called “Chemin de Provence”.

-Follow the Avenue de Provence until you reach a small tunnel, go thru it, and just after you will see on your right a tall palm tree, you will then take the first path on your left, (to make sure you are on the right one check the mail box number there it should read 2239). It is a very steep path, stay on 1st gear and do not stop until you will arrive completely at the top, park in front of the wooden gate of a large pink house with green shutters.
