Ideally situated, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, sleeps 8, mountain and country views.

This comfortable home has been beautifully and imaginatively renovated in a Moorish style. With air conditioning / heating, Jacuzzi, fireplace and close to the pool and tennis court, it is the perfect place for a relaxing family vacation all year.

Ideally located in a sought after, award winning estate with country outlook and yet close to all holiday amenities. On the estate there is a beautiful shared private pool, private tennis courts and a bar/restaurant, all surrounded by mature and immaculately kept gardens. The house has its own six person jacuzzi (heated in Winter as required) situated on the sheltered, private terrace.

There are three good sized bedrooms, two with double beds and the third with either two or three singles, as you require. There is also a fourth single bed in storage, thus providing accommodation for up to 8 people. We can also provide a cot and high chair if you are visiting with young children. We will prepare the house ready for your arrival, with all beds made up, and towels. Our prices are all inclusive, including linen, laundry, cleaning and baby equipment. (Longer duration stays negotiable). There is plenty of space for dining, both inside and outside the house, and there is a gas barbecue and table and chairs for al fresco dining. There are a further two terraces, the front terrace which is shaded and perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee, and the upstairs balcony terrace, ideal for enjoying a quiet glass of wine beneath the stars!

Mijas village with all its' historical and tourist attractions is only 1.5 Km away, and Fuengirola with beaches and extensive entertainment facilities is about 5 Km. The idyllic rocky cove beaches of Torrequebrada are about the same distance, and a little further the beaches and town of Marbella.

Within ten Km. there is every type of entertainment including water parks and zoos, museums and cinemas, shopping malls, and a very wide variety of bars and restaurants. The mountains of Mijas are only 2 Km away and provide ample opportunity for walking, trekking and mountain biking. Tourist attractions within easy access for day trips include Granada (Alhambra), Seville, Jerez, Ronda and Gibraltar.

The house is only about 20 minutes from Malaga airport, on good roads. It is not difficult to find, and we will supply full directions and maps. There will always be help on hand, 24 hours a day, during your holiday. (Either Sue and Larry, the owners, or their management company, whose office is situated just a couple of minutes from the house, both with a 24 hour emergency phone number).

We offer special discounts for autumn (fall) and winter holidays, and we particularly welcome visitors for stays of longer duration, during the quieter months of the year. Autumn, Winter and Spring holidays in Andalucia provide the ideal way to recharge your batteries, and escape from the cold and damp of Northern Europe. There are less tourists around, but the scenery and countryside is quite beautiful at these times of year. There are Fiestas and local colour to enjoy, every month of the year, and the Spring flowers in the mountains and gardens of Andalucia make you feel lucky to be alive!

And for visitors from Quebec, Canada and North America, an exciting change: instead of Florida, experience the culture and warmth of Andalusia!

'We just can confirm, that we (7 persons) spent a marvellous time in this cosy house. Everything was as described and we had a pleasant surprise about the beauty of the environment. We were lucky concerning the weather (mostly sunny in OCT/NOV), so we used the pool, the tennis-court and the outdoor-jacuzzi (very recommended!) to its maximum. WiFi/Internet (with changing band-width due to vodafone) and english TV (now TV in different languages!) were all time available. The bedrooms and the baths were clean and basic, the kitchen small, but functional, the living perfect to stay during the colder mornings and nights while enjoying the view and best of course the patio with barbecue, jacuzzi and a spectacular view to the southwest and the mountains. About Sue and Larry

Sue and Larry have lived in Spain for thirty years, and can suggest numerous places to visit, during your stay in Mijas. Larry has renovated more than thirty houses in different parts of the world, many of these in Spain. They also love to travel, and have made many trips to Morocco, hence the decision to renovate this house in Moroccan style.

Why Sue and Larry chose Mijas area

Having spent nearly 30 years in different parts of Spain, including a remote area in the Catalan Pyrenees, the Axarquia region of Malaga province and the Sierra de las Nieves near Ronda, we were looking for a property closer to the coast, mainly because of our son’s schooling. We began looking at the villages within easy reach of the coastal areas, and fell in love with Mijas. It is a very special place, which manages to combine its appeal and accessibility for visitors, with a very strong maintenance of its own identity and cultural traditions. For example, there are of course, the traditional and local Fiestas throughout the year, but Mijas also has its own International Festival, which provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and experience the food, music and culture of the many nationalities now living in and around Mijas. The village itself is an Andalucian jewel, with its winding streets and huge variety of local bars, where it is still possible to enjoy typical Spanish fare, tapas and drinks, for a ridiculously low price, particularly if you explore a little and know where to go!

Our house is within walking distance of the village, if you like to walk, either through the olive groves and countryside, or through the geranium decked backstreets of the village. You can also just step out of the house and wander into the olive and almond groves, for a walk at the foot of the mountains, something that my family really appreciate, having often lived in quite remote but very beautiful places in the mountains of Spain. We do normally recommend that our visitors rent a car, as it makes sightseeing and shopping easier. There are so many wonderful places to visit, within easy reach for a day trip: the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada at Granada, Seville, the Bodegas of Jerez, the Great Mosque/Cathedral at Cordoba, Ronda with its ancient bullring, Gibraltar…the list is endless.

What makes this house unique

Our house is within walking distance of the village, if you like to walk, either through the olive groves and countryside, or through the geranium decked backstreets of the village. You can also just step out of the house and wander into the olive and almond groves, for a walk at the foot of the mountains, something that my family really appreciate, having often lived in quite remote but very beautiful places in the mountains of Spain. Closer at hand, there are the many beaches of the Costa del Sol, both the better known ones at Fuengirola and Marbella, and many others which are not so well known and consequently have less visitors. We provide information about these beaches and many other places to visit, in our information folder at the house, and are always happy to help with suggestions and information, based on our own experience from many years living in Andalucia. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions at all, about any aspect of your proposed visit to Andalucia. We are always happy to help, even if you decide not to stay at our house! "Very pleasant stay in a nice house, well equiped. the house was clean and fresh. The proximity of the very lovely pool is very important!! The owners are very kind and helpful, we will recommend this house to our friends. Amazing contrast between the mountain and the see, the only desappointed point is the cold of the sea!!!!!!!"

Très joli cottage dans un décor féérique. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le spa et le foyer. Le village Mijas est le plus beau de toutes les villes et villages que nous avons visité. Très bien situé pour ceux qui veulent visiter, à 1:30 heure de Ronda, de Seville, de Grenade, de Gibraltar. Nous sommes enchanté de notre séjour.

Wonderful location in a peaceful environment!

We just can confirm, that we (7 persons) spent a marvellous time in this cosy house. Everything was as described and we had a pleasant surprise about the beauty of the environment.
