I am a small town girl at heart, raised in Sandpoint but now living in Portland and loving everything that the city has to offer. I am a professional and work in healthcare. I love the outdoors and think the rain in Portland just makes the sunny days more enjoyable. 5 things I wouldn't want to live without are my husband, sunshine, red wine, yummy food, and the occasional very sweaty workout. I am new to listing on VRBO but have used it frequently to rent vacation homes and had many great experiences. I often travel with friends or family and enjoy staying together and experiencing new places. I hope you enjoy my precious little gem (at least in my opinion) of an escape in Sandpoint.

It is a beautiful piece of property and I wish I could give it the attention it needs. I decided to update it and share it with others as a vacation home so it does not sit neglected and so I can still use it myself on occasion. Sandpoint is the best small town in the country in my opinion, however I will try not to oversell it and let you experience it for yourself.
The large pine trees, serene view from the living room, and peaceful environment are just a few of the reasons I enjoy it here.
We loved staying here. So quiet and peaceful. We have an infant and a 2 year old, plus a dog, and we were all very comfortable. Everything you need to enjoy the area and very clean. Loved it, we will be back!
Was a great place for our family. Clean, fully stocked with anything you would need. Close enough to town, but far enough away.
Easy check in and check out.
Some great food places nearby, close to the beach.
I spent a week at this property and found it to be a perfect fit for me. It was close to town but very private and once inside it was as well equipped/stocked as any of the dozen or more rentals I've used in the past. Very pleased.
Our stay was fantastic. The pictures of the cabin on line , cannot explain how awesome this cabin is! Very secluded for privacy. A moose, deer and her baby fawns are seen every day. The cabin has everything you would need including air conditioning. I would highly recommend this cabin. It is positively awesome!!!!
Rachel was so easy to work with for my month long stay and has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The mattress was dreamy! The location affords wonderful views of wildlife as well as spectacular sunsets over Mt Baldy. I felt it was the perfect spot for me and hope to return next summer!
Thank you Rachel!

The cabin was cute and very comfortable. Great for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. You are only two miles out of town but you felt isolated. And the area is Beautiful. My wife and I definitely recommend this place. And we would love to go back there again.
Sandpoint lies on the shores of Idaho's largest lake, 43-mile-long Lake Pend Oreille, and is surrounded by three major mountain ranges, the Selkirk, Cabinet and Bitterroot ranges. It is home to Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Idaho's largest ski resort, and is on the International Selkirk Loop and two National Scenic Byways (Wild Horse Trail and Pend Oreille Scenic Byway). Among other distinctions awarded by national media in the past decade, in 2011 Sandpoint was named the nation's 'Most Beautiful Small Town' by Rand McNally and USA Today.
