About Rachel Seitz

I am a small town girl at heart, raised in Sandpoint but now living in Bend, OR and loving the sunshine and everything the area has to offer. I am a professional and work in healthcare. Five things I wouldn't want to live without are my husband, sunshine, red wine, yummy food, and the occasional very sweaty workout. I have listed on VRBO for the last couple years and also frequently use it to rent vacation homes and have had many great experiences. I often travel with friends or family and enjoy staying together and experiencing new places. I hope you enjoy my precious little gem (at least in my opinion) of an escape in Sandpoint.

Rachel Seitz purchased this house in 1996

Why Rachel Seitz chose Sandpoint

It is a beautiful piece of property and I wish I could give it the attention it needs. I decided to update it and share it with others as a vacation home so it does not sit neglected and so I can still use it myself on occasion. Sandpoint is the best small town in the country in my opinion, however I will try not to oversell it and let you experience it for yourself.

What makes this house unique

The large pine trees, serene view from the living room, and peaceful environment are just a few of the reasons I enjoy it here.

Heaven in Northern Idaho

  • 5 of 5

Secluded but not. Down a long country lane and tucked behind trees yet only a mile or two to Sand Point. The most well stocked vacation rental I have ever stayed at. I didn't want for a thing except more time there. An extra perk was the doe and her spotted twin fawns who visited twice a day. They appeared to thoroughly enjoyed the watermelon I placed for them in the woods. Their frolicking was so entertaining with my morning cup of coffee and my glass of wine in the evening. I'm ready to go back.... See you next year....

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review. We also enjoyed the morning and evening passing of the doe and fawns and I bet they loved your nice treat. So happy to hear that you enjoyed your time as much as we do and we look forward to having you again.

We came here for our honeymoon! It was exactly what we wanted, close to town, beautiful country view, and a kitchen with everything we needed! We just left and are already talking about when we can come back!

Quiet Apartment in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

We found the very quiet apartment in the woods very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Pictures show the apartment very well. We saw twin fawns that sill had spots just about every morning during our weeks stay. A couple of times we saw the doe. It's a great little getaway and very peaceful. We hope to stay again in the future.. Thank you, Rachel!
