IDEALLY LOCATED : in a street with numerous stores and services. A market is hold in the street twice a week and the supermarket is 0.25 mile away. The block is located in Saint-Servan nearest part from the old town centre (Intra-Muros) : 10mn by foot. And the beach is just down the street (0.1 mile) !

SEA VIEW FROM THE UPPER FLOOR : over lichen-capped tiled roofs. You can see Bas-Sablons harbour, ferries embarcation to Great Britain, Jersey and Guernesey, the Môle des Noires, the Cité d'Alet, Dinard and open sea ; on the right, Intra-Muros.

COMFORT : amenities and facilities, tastefully decorated. You may use : DVDs, CDs, books, tourist information.

NET CONNECTION : there is a modem in the living room.

Séjour à St-Malo, des plus agréables!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le confortable appartement de Dominique Jenny dans le quartier de St-Servan, à peine à 10 minutes à pied de "l'intra-muros" et beaucoup plus intéressant au niveau communications avec les "vrais résidents" de St-Malo. L'appartement est très bien situé, sur une des rues les plus commerçantes de la ville, donc tout est à proximité à pieds pour tous nos besoins. Dominique nous y accueilli chaleureusement afin de nous familiariser avec les lieux et équipements. Il ne manque absolument rien pour rendre notre séjour confortable, propreté des lieux et un équipement complet allant de tous les guides de voyage, livres, radio, 2 télévisions, une collection de plus de 200 DVD adultes, une bibliothèque de DVD pour enfants, des bandes dessinées, etc. L'appartement à été complètement rénové et joliement décorée, la cuisine est très fonctionnelle et moderne, et que dire de la belle vue sur le port et la mer, l'intra-muros, et les couchers de soleil à partir de la salle de séjour à l'étage: bref ce fut un réel plaisir d'y séjourner 1 mois, mon épouse et moi, et nous le recommandons à tous et toutes.

Lose your heart to the Saint-Servan of Saint Malo

Our THIRD stay in this apartment - we lost our heart to Saint-Malo in this little quiet community of Saint-Servan. A two minute walk to the Bas Sablans harbor, 10 minutes to the "walled-city" - two minutes along YOUR street to the many shops, patisseries, boulangeries, the Mairie of Saint-Servan. 10-12 ATM within 500 yards. Many restaurants, cafes, laundramats (the apartment does have a washing machine.)

But the view, the kitchen, the amenities - all let you just nestle into a great experience of living in France and a harbor community. For people familiar with San Francisco, this is that city - but from the 1950's - in the best way. Quiet, gentle, delightful people with an excellent public transit system which allows you to leave Paris taking the TGV to Saint-Malo where you can hop a clean, safe, inexpensive bus to within 200 yards of your apartment.

You'll have two top floors - no elevator - but as my 70+ brother-in-law said - "Those are good for you". All the modern conveniences - over 260 DVD's alone - for the times you just want to chill...

Go, stay, fall in love with the life - of Saint-Servan - Saint-Malo - Bretagne!

The view is tremendous as...

The view is tremendous as is the kitchen! This two-story flat is extremely comfortable, very clean and very modern. The shower is large and features a skylight. The upper floor provides two huge windows which look over the walled city and two skylights for cross ventilation. There is no need for an auto as the bus stop is just 50 meters from the door and the bus system in the area is wonderful. The three flights of stairs are worth the effort to get to this apartment!

"This is a really delight...

"This is a really delightful apartment in the old part of the town. It is arrranged over two floors and provides a lot of space. The kitchen is very well equiped with good quality fridge/freezer, cooker, kettle and coffee machine. On the top floor of an old building the stairs could be problem for less mobile people but it is particularly quiet and has spectacular views of the beaches and the marina. We stayed in December and the apartment was warm with plenty of bedding. The living area on the top floor is extremely comfortable with an excellent collection of DVDs and videos, which we worked our way through in the evenings. There is not a lot to do in the evenings in the immediate vicinity but St Malo is a short walk away with plenty of restaurants and bars. These can be a bit expensive. There are a few restaurants near to the apartment, which we did not try out. There is a superb small supermarket on the same road as the apartment so we chose to cook and eat in most evenings. The beaches are a short walk away and there are lots of nice walks to be done in the area. This apartment could sleep four people as there is a sofa bed in the living area, however this may feel a bit cramped. For two people it is very spacious. There is also a brilliant seafood shop on the main road towards the station, which is definitely worth a visit and the fish is very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend staying in this apartment. We liked it so much we plan to go back very soon."

5 minutes by car from the car ferry to the flat.

BY CAR :

- from Caen, take motorway A84 to Avranches, then road N175-176 to Châteauneuf, then road N 137 to Saint-Malo.

- from Rennes, take road 137 to Saint-Malo.

As you go near Saint-Malo, go towards "Saint-Servan centre".

BY TRAIN :

The railway station is 2 km away. You have a bus (C1) direct from the station to the flat.

FOOD : delicious fish and sea-food restaurants, crêperies, Sanchez ice-creams, cafés at Place Chateaubriand.

TOURISM : walk around the Cité d'Alet, along the Ramparts,along the Môle des Noires, visit the Fort National...
