In the heart of Tavira, a beautiful one-bedroom apartment on the first floor of 'Casa do Largo' - a restored manor house in a prime riverside location in the historical center of Tavira. During the summer months, the ferryboat to the beach at Ilha de Tavira leaves from the quayside in Tavira town, around 100m from the apartment. At other times of the year, the boat leaves from Quatro Aguas which is around 1km further along the river. There are several other blue flag beaches and golf courses within a few minutes drive. The apartment is extremely conveniently located for both the beach and the town. The riverfront restaurants are close at hand and the Old Market and Roman Bridge are only a couple of minutes walk away. You can spend hours strolling the charming cobblestone streets of this lovely old town with its many restaurants, shops, bars and terraces to enjoy a refreshment in the sun. This beautiful manor house dates from the early 19th century and has been tastefully renovated to high specifications, using natural materials and retaining historical features - such as the traditional Tavira roofs and windows with interior wooden shutters, as well as thick walls which keep the property warm in winter and cool in summer. The apartment is the perfect place to sit and watch the activity on the quayside and is furnished to a high standard with a combination of antique and contemporary furniture. Spacious apartment in excellent location
Well located apartment close to ferry to the beach, local market, restaurants and bars. Internally the apartment was modern, spacious with a well equipped kitchen, good sized bedroom , bathroom and lounge. There was a small balcony that was ideal for breakfast or evening drinks. Communication was excellent with the owners representative . It would have been nice to have had a little more character in the apartment however this did not detract from a great stay.
Perfectly positioned within Tavira
The apartment is very clean and well managed. It has a fully equipped kitchen but with the choice of restaurants in immediate area we barely put it to use. There is a small balcony area for morning coffee or evening glass of wine. There is also A/C in bedroom & sitting room.
For those wishing to visit Isla de Tavira, the ferry leaves almost directly outside the property and is excellent value at €2 return. There are several small local supermarkets within a few minutes walk and the new market place is definitely worth the 10 minute walk.

il manquait un parasol sur la terrasse , donc de 10h à 16h on ne pouvait pas en profiter! malgré notre demande à l'agence locale rien à faire !pourtant l'appartement en dessous en avait un énorme !sinon , situation idéale sur la rivière , dont nous n'avions pas la vue ,car o surprise , nous étions à l'arrière de la maison , avec vue sur la piscine et le parasol d'en bas...

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Tavira, appartement spacieux, très calme et bien agencé. Sa situation sur le port nous a permis de profiter pleinement des restaurants, du marché et de l'embarcadère pour les plages. Une adresse que nous retenons sans hésitation.

"This apartment is just perfect. It''s very well located, clean, well furnished, vast (for a one bedroom flat) and has plenty of windows. It''s a very comfortable and practical place to stay in Tavira if you don''t have a car, as the boat to go to the Ilha Tavira starts right in front of the door and the public market (with plenty of fresh products) is less than 5 mins by foot. Even if right in the centre of Tavira, the flat is quiet as it gives on the back yard."
Take the turning to Tavira off the IP1 Motorway and follow signs for the Vila Gale Hotel. Casa do Largo is located by the River Front in Tavira, approximately 150m from the old market. A detailed map can be provided with booking confirmation.
Ideally located for access to Tavira's wonderful beaches (boat to beach is 100m from the apartment). Within easy walking distance of all the restaurants and sites of interest in Tavira's historic centre (the Roman bridge is approx 350m). Excellent golf courses in vacinity (nearest is 3km). Great hiking and cycling in the countryside and hills behind Tavira.
The interesting town of Ayamonte in Spain is only a short 30min drive and Seville is around 90mins.
