3 Bedrooms, 1 bathroom, villa sleeps 6, floor area = 180 sqm

Villa Aurabelle is a holiday residence all in Provence style in a quiet villa quarter of Vence with complete privacy (no other persons on the property).

It is at the same time 'away from it all' and close to (almost) everything.

The 4,000 sqm property at the end of a private dead-end road opens to the south and south-east. It provides a panoramic view on the picturesque coastal landscape of the Côte d’Azur and the sea. Meadows around the house give room for leisure activities and in summer the private pool with its under-water illumination provides refreshment. Parking for two cars is provided. The house itself is fully equipped (including free internet by WLAN) and decorated in provincial style with an open fireplace, tiled cotto-floors and antique construction elements.

There are three bedrooms sleeping a total of six persons. One bedroom is separate with the bathroom attached to it.

The other two bedrooms are linked to each other and are accessible via the staircase in the living-room. Therefore one of them is not entirely shut from the living-room. The WC is separate

Terms and conditions: Rentals are form Saturday to Saturday (exemptions may be negotiated). A 20 % non-refundable deposit is required on reservation. The balance is due at last 15 days prior to arrival. The villa apartment is fully equipped for up to 6 persons with normal use of water & electricity. A security deposit of 500 euros is demanded at arrival and will be returned on departure subject to no damage made to the villa. The renter is expected to have a damage insurance to cover any accident or damage on/to the premises. The owner assumes no responsibility. The check-in and check-out is handled by a local agency (with French and English speaking personal) which may help you as well in case you should request additional service (e.g. bed linen or tickets for local events). You will receive contact data after binding booking.

Villa Aurabelle May 2010

The property exceeded our expectations. Beautiful views, clean and well equipped living quarters, and an up to date kitchen and bathroom made for a relaxing stay. The proximity to Vence meant it was a quick drive in to get supplies or enjoy lunch, but when at the villa it felt secluded and away from it all. Vence itself is a pretty village and I also recommend a trip to St Paul. We did not want to leave.

The access to the villa is a little daunting after a long drive, and you need to be quick or you will miss the signposts, but don't be put off, since once you arrive at the villa, the location is fantastic. The advertising of the property does not adequately convey the breadth of the stunning views from the villa, looking out across the valley towards the Med, with a vista from Antibes through Nice and beyond.

The villa, complete with a vast and well maintained garden, provides complete tranquility and privacy, disturbed only by the sounds of the kids enjoying the pool.

The villa was clean and well presented with all necessary equipment.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Villa Aurabella, Vence

The short journey from Vence, up the side of a mountain was worth every twist and turn as we were greeted with the most tremendous view over Nice and the Mediterranean. The property, pool and garden lived up to every expectation, it was clean and well maintained and had everything required to make our stay both comfortable and pleasurable.

Natur- und Kunstgenuss in einmaliger Umgebung

Unsere dreiköpfige Familie hatte Ende April 2016 bei herrlichstem Frühlingswetter das Glück, eine Woche in der Villa Aurabelle zu verbringen. Wir waren begeistert.

Die geschmackvoll, zweckmäßig und liebevoll eingerichtete Villa bezaubert sofort mit dem Flair eines alten, traditionellen Hauses, das mit dem Standard einer modernen Ferienwohnung dem Gast alle Annehmlichkeiten bietet. Küche, Esszimmer (mit Spielen und vielen Infos zur Umgebung), das Kaminzimmer und auch die Schlafräume: freundlich-romantisch, sauber und gepflegt. Von nahezu allen Räumen hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Bucht von Antibes/Nizza bis zu den benachbarten Dörfern auf den Hügeln sowie zu den Felsen der Region um den Baou im Rücken.

Ein botanisches Kleinod ist der riesige Garten mit seinem Baumbestand: Oliven, Yucca, Palmen, Eukalyptus, Feigen, Aprikosen, Bambus...Soviel südliches Flair in der Umgebung des Hauses! Samt Pool und der großräumigen Umgebung bietet er Erlebnisse von Freiheit, Wildheit, Privatsphäre, in dieser begehrten und dichtbesiedelten Region einmalig sind.

Wir haben die vielen Angebote der großen "Kunstdichte" der Umgebung und alle möglichen sinnlichen Genüsse nicht ausschöpfen können. Die Wirkungsstätten der grossen Maler Chagall, Picasso, Renoir, Miro oder Braque sind besonders zu empfehlen. Darunter St. Paul de Vence, Antibes, Vallauris, Nizza, Cannes - alles kaum eine Autostunde (oder weniger) entfernt! Nicht zu vergessen, die Orte der Düfte und Kulinarik.

Unser 27jähriger Sohn hat sich in diesem Urlaub mit seinen "Oldies" keine Minute gelangweilt!

Wir fanden das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut - und hoffen alle drei, dass wir bald einmal an diesen schönen Ort wiederkommen dürfen.

Tipp für die letzten 10 Minuten der steilen, schmalen Zufahrt am Hügel: Wendiges, kräftiges, nicht geschniegeltes Auto benutzen, bei Tageslicht ankommen - und bei Gegenverkehr ruhig und freundlich bleiben :-).

Luxury with a touch of wilderness

An adventurous road takes you to a beautiful and fully equipped house in midst of a big lush garden with a compact swimming pool and a stunning view on the bay of Antibes and the valley of the Var. We’ve stayed in the Villa Aurabelle for three weeks in July with our family with two young teenagers and a dog.

The house was very clean and has a tasteful interior. The beds are good. There is no air conditioner, nor fans in the house, which is a small issue if the temperature is over 30 degrees. The service delivered around the house is efficient and responding quickly. With one bathroom connected to the master bedroom, 1 WC and the two other bedrooms connected to each other the house doesn’t offer too much privacy which is for our family not really an issue, but for others this could be.

The garden is really beautiful and has fruits for every month, varying from prunes to figs and walnuts. We made a homemade cake with some help from the apricot tree. The view over the hills is beautiful and you can choose many perspectives. Either watching rock formations from the pool, looking at the lights over the valleys and watching the boats in the sea. Privacy is guaranteed. The pool is not too big.

The other side of privacy is living in the wild. The thought of wild boars kept outside with an electrical fence was funny for us. The number of mosquitos and wasps around the house was another issue. This appeared to be an issue not only related to the house, but to the whole region, looking at the large amounts of anti-repellents being sold at an average pharmacy in Vence. For sleeping the house offers a classical but very effective protection against them: mosquito nets, which also gives a romantic taste to life.

Vence is a few minutes by car, Nice is 30 minutes, Saint Paul de Vence 20 minutes.

Disadvantages:

• The bumpy road up here makes you not to drink too much wine before driving up

• Privacy inside the house suits a family, but not larger groups

• The lack of an air conditioner in combination with many mosquitos

Advantages:

• Tasteful and fully equipped house for family with two or three kids

• Beautiful garden, privacy, private pool and stunning views over the Mediterranean

• The area with e.g. nearby Vence with all its services, restaurants and Nuits du Sud

For us the price/quality ratio for this house was very good and we would love to come back again.

Sommerausklang mit viel Kultur

Gemeinsam mit 3 Freundinnen hatte ich das Glück, eine Woche das wunderschöne Haus unterhalb des Col de Vence zu bewohnen. Die Lage ist einmalig, ruhig, großzügig und mit einer fantastischen Aussicht, von Nizza bis Antibe.

Das Haus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, es ist komplett ausgestattet, alles ist sauber und lädt zum unbeschwerten Verweilen ein. Ein weiteres Plus ist der schöne, saubere Pool.

Vence ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu den vielen, einmaligen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die sich in der Umgebung befinden. Nicht nur die großen Städte wie Nizza, Cannes oder Monaco sind gut zu erreichen, auch die Museen für die großen Meister z.B. der zeitgenössischen Kunst, die sich hier in unmittelbarer Nähe befinden, sind unbedingt zu empfehlen. Zum bummeln und shoppen nach dem Kunstgenuss laden alte gemütliche Städchen wie z.B. Saint Paul de Vence ein.

Alles in Allem ein wunderbarer Ort für einmalige Ferien, sehr zu empfehlen.

It's a location 'away from it all' but at the same time close to (almost) everything. However, on the property you have total privacy. There is no other guest or agent of the owner on the property.

The house is about 20 minutes by car from the beach and from Nice airport. Vence centre is about 10 minutes away. In Vence you find all types of shops and commodities, including a Provencial style market. Close proximity is also to St. Paul de Vence with its art galleries, museums and nice restaurants – from rustic to gourmet. Many golf courses are within a short drive. Skiing is 1.5 – 2 hours drive away. For sight-seeing and shopping Nice and Cannes are within a 40 minutes drive, not to mention Italy and other excursion goals along the Riviera which is animated with open air concerts, jazz festivals and traditional Provencal festivities.
