About the property

Enjoyment of a private park of one hectare planted with palms and citrus.

Our apartment is located 28 Riviera Avenue in a former palace on the hill between the valley and the Borigo Careï Valley

The Riviera overlooking the large private park with classified citrus and palm trees. In the photos 1 and 2 you see the 4 apartment windows above the orange and mandarin. It is on the 1st floor above the mezzanine.

It is itself above the ground floor, located above the ground floor. This corresponds to a third floor.

Given the slope, the view extends over the trees to the sea (photo 9).

All parts and kitchen have this panoramic view of the park and the sea.

Some details on the composition of the apartment:

The 3 rooms and the kitchen are independent so they communicate through the corridor but also by the window next door.

True French Style, a retro beauty and historic charm

The owner Marie was very helpful in getting us the details for our stay with directions and contact info.

The local property manager Christophe was always there if we need any information.

This is a historic building built in the 1800's. It was previously a hotel (Riviera Palace) with all the granger in its day.

What you have to understand when staying here is this is not a tourist condo, your living with the locals. You also have to understand that this is truly an original authentic French Palace with all the amazing Marble Stairways, 20 foot high ceilings, and wide hallways.

If you’re looking for a modern cookie cutter typical condo, it is not here. This is an amazing and magical place.

The grounds are a garden. During national day people were touring the building, taking pictures and gathering for the opera singer and flute player on the lawn. The apartment has everything you need: Big Tub, separate shower, nice bedroom, sitting room, dining room with a day bed and a wonderful kitchen. If you love to cook, like we do, then you’re in heaven. The kitchen has its own balcony that just fits two chairs and a table with a roller awning and beautiful views of the sea. There are three Armoires that are filled with dishes, and linens and everything you need. The kitchen has a very good stove, microwave and induction cook top. Big refrigerator and a dishwasher. Pots and pan are plenty with all the utensils you will need. The beds are very comfortable, the sitting room is wonderful with a second balcony that is larger. The doors are the classic all wooden tall French doors, with additional big heavy duty shutters. If you want to wake up early you better set the alarm because this building in on a dead end street and very quiet. To head to town you walk through the garden and then take a separate path between the homes to the main street of Sospel. There is small local market there, and two small maches (Carrefour and Casino). If you take Sospel Road past the interstate (10 minutes) there is a Hype Mache with everything you need. The walk to the train station is 10 minutes, to town is about 15 to the old town 20 minutes. Parking at the palace is first come first serve. You get used to it. Elevator is nice. They have a shopping cart that floats around if you need to take a lot to the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment to those who enjoy a place with character and charm. This is truly a French Classic and I will be returning.

excellent séjour dans un cadre enchanteur

appartement de bon confort et de bon goût, alliant le charme d'antan à l'agrément d'un jardin superbe, très calme. Relations aisées avec le centre ville grâce au petit bus 3. Bonnes descriptions et bons conseils donnés par la propriétaire. Un peu loin du front de mer, mais bien ventilé par temps chaud !

L'immeuble est magnifique, sa situation sur les hauteurs de Menton loin du bruit et dans une verdure luxuriante est un enchantement, l'appartement est spacieux et confortable. Nous avons fait des photos remarquables de l'immeuble Art Déco et du paysage ! En un mot, dans ce séjour à Mention au Riviera Palace, tout est éminemment positif. Y compris l'amabilité et la gentillesse de la propriétaire de l'appartement. Nous étions quatre personnes dans l'appartement et nous sommes promis d'y revenir rapidement. Les cinq étoiles sont méritées !

Des vacances de rêve dans un magnifique palace Belle époque avec tout le confort actuel. On a adoré cet endroit plein d'histoire avec une vue imprenable sur un parc privé qui ressemblait à une palmeraie. L'appartement est bien conçu et spacieux. Le palace est un peu excentré et sur les hauteurs par rapport au bord de mer donc au calme ; pour les courses et les balades prévoir un peu de marche à pied et de grimpette pour le retour. En plus la propriétaire est adorable. Bref, c'est quand qu'on y retourne ?!!!!

Take the motorway towards Menton and Italy.(Bring change for the tolls)

At the Menton exit, leave the highway and get off on by Menton Avenue Sospel.

Drive about 2 km, you will find on your left the bus station (buses).

At this level there is a roundabout opens on the right Avenue

Riviera (between a Ford dealership and a pizza store).

Take the avenue that winds Riviera laces (7 turns) until the car driveway of the Riviera Palace (signposted 'Riviera Palace' letters. Ringing "guardian" to open the gate.
