3 Bedrooms. ( 2 double and 1 single) +2 bathrm. Kitchen/dining. small yard rear

Killarney Town.( 100 metre).

Rent Period SAT to SAT, or any days (min 3) days in between the two sats. But you get best value at weekly rate from SAT to SAT. { call me at 0035350432800 if not sure }

Ideally located for touring south west Ireland, and the ' Ring of Kerry' We fully renovated this property 11 years ago. It is warm and comfortable. What I like best about the house is that it is within walking distance of shops, PUB, restaurants, cinemas, Parks, and play grounds. The car park is opposite the house, which is so handy.,House Tastefully decorated, Walking distance to bus + rail station, From which there are trains to Dublin, Cork, Limerick. There are also buses to Tralee, Limerick, Dingle, Caherciveen, Killorgan, and most of the Kerry and Cork towns. Also bus to ' Ring of Kerry '. County Kerry is know as 'The Kingdom'. The sea at Rossbeigh - wonderful beach- and the town of Glenbeigh is only about 40 mins drive from Killarney. Muckross house and gardens, and Torc waterfall are about 3 miles from the house. I recommend the Traditional cottages and blacksmith ( check to see if he is on duty) in Muckross. If you are into photography, these cottages and blacksmith area great opportunity to utilise your camera and al lit's setting. I have had some great shots from here.But then , all around Killarney and Co. Kerry is natures photographic studio

About John Walsh

This house is not our main dwelling. It was purchased for our retirement, but of course, the financial crisis, caused by our sleepy and inept Finiancial regulator, and helped by politcians, ( all who retired with large bonus and huge pensions) we have to stay working. ( I would write an essay, but its makes me so angry, so I'll stop)

This house was an artisian dwelling. I understand that it was originally built for the workers on the Muckross estate in the 1850's. When we saw it in 2000 it was in a sorry state, small pooky rooms, plaster falling off the walls,electric cables, that Thomas Edison would be ashamed of, plumbing that rattled and spat out the water at you, as for the toilet, well lets not go there ( excuse pun)..Slates falling off the roof,windows rattling and so on, Agent said it was house with character.....? Anyway over a period of 3to 4 years, after lots of family discussions (rows) on layout, colours etc. it was finally finished. Now we , I just love the place. Killarney to us has a magical feel about the place and this house has a wonderful aura, sense of calm and peace about it.I would dearly love to live here full time, but c'est la vie.

Very nice Townhouse, Great Location.

The townhouse is well located with only a short walk to the main street shops, pubs and restaurants. The house is very spacious and comfortable. There is a full kitchen with dishes and cookware. It was nice to be able to cook some meals instead of eating out all the time. Mrs Walsh was at the house when we arrived and went over how the heat and appliances worked. She provided us with travel books and information. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water and towels. Very enjoyable vacation, would stay here again and recommend to others. Thank you Mr and Mrs Walsh.

Perfect location, very clean and well stocked

I can't say enough good about this rental property but will try.

The location is perfect to walk to everything in town. 2 minute walk to pubs, restaurants and a convenience type store for most anything you will need.

John had a list of best places for dinner and drinks in the order he thought were the best. We trusted his advise and went with his suggestions and he was correct. :-) He also had many pamphlets on day trips and places to go on the table for us.

Upon arrival we were given a very extensive tour on how to work the heat, appliances and showers. There was an ample amount of towels, dishes, glasses and even toilet paper. :-)

There were shampoos, shower gels, conditioners and soap in each bathroom. We brought our own but it was so nice to see and had we forgotten we would have had no problems hopping in for a shower right off.

Milk was purchased for us and there was coffee and sugar for a much needed cup of coffee if we needed one. We brought our own coffee but not the milk and sugar, so that was wonderful to see and we made a pot immediately instead of having to walk to a store to get those 2 items.

The house was VERY clean, spotless in fact and well cared for. Decorated very nicely and just so comfy and we felt at home. As I had mentioned, plenty of towels and also blankets and sheets. The beds were quite comfortable and we slept well every night. Truly this house was very charming and comfortable.

We had friends fly in from London on our second day and they rented a car for our day trips. Once back in town the car was parked across the street at the lot and we walked everywhere. Again, no car needed to get around.

We've had several vacation rentals in different countries and I've never given any a 5 star review. This house is worth a 10 star in my opinion. If we do come back to Killarney we will rent this again and even change our dates to ensure we can stay here.

Walk to city center, ideal for a slower paced stay in Ireland

This is a great place if you want to stay for an extended period of time and get to know Killarney/Kerry. The home is very charming and welcoming, I liken it to staying at a grandma's house. If you are looking to save a few euros by occasionally making your own meals, the kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable for the average person, the water is hot, and the rooms stay a consistent temperature. There is a hair dryer in the home. Free Wifi is avail and just about everywhere around the city. Personally, I don't take too much concern over accommodations, what I liked most about this place was its location!

When traveling, I prefer to move at my own pace rather than hop around on a fast paced coach bus. The home is one block away from pubs, restaurants, and shops. It is three blocks from the train station (not a noise problem at night); so you can easily make day trips to other cities/towns, then come back at night and visit familiar pubs and familiar people. If you like cycling, rent a bike and take a gorgeous ride through the national park. If you are into coach bus tours, you can walk up any day and purchase tickets for day trips around Kerry.

Perfect Ireland vacation

Killarney is a perfect town to base yourself for touring southern Ireland. This townhouse also had a perfect location in Killarney. Three of us stayed here and were very comfortable with two full baths and a complete kitchen. Town was just 2 short blocks away were we were able to dine in a different restaurant or pub every night. Many tours are available right in town so no need to drive. We had a very small car so we were able to park in the rear and avoid the car park. Thanks John!

The owner met us when we arrived and he walked us through the house to be sure we knew how everything worked. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy Ireland without worrying about driving.

A very pleasant experience.

The location is perfect with just a short stroll to downtown. The house is well equipped, very comfortable and clean. There is so much to see and do within walking distance. The owners are very pleasant and easy to work with. We recommend this rental without hesitation. We would come back in a heart beat!
