2 minute walk from the Bellevarde and Solaise ski lifts

Overlooking a little stream, our apartment is located at the 'Rond-point des pistes' in Val d'Isère (5 minutes walk from the old village, and 2 minutes walk from Solaise and Bellevarde ski lifts).

You will be charmed by the open view on the mountains (Bellevarde) and 'la face' where the men's descent of the 92 Olympic games took place.

The slopes (300 km !) of the 'Espace Killy' will be your playing field... whether you are fond of skiing, surfing or practicing any other gliding sports.

In the evening, you will enjoy the great atmosphere of the after-ski in one of the numerous bars and restaurants, which will propose you authenticity in a friendly atmosphere.

In the summer, sport addicts and accomplished idlers will enjoy getting a deep breath of fresh air and the endless walking possibilities, mountain-biking or horse riding and much more.

You could enjoy the pleasure of climbing, rafting, playing golf, summer skiing...

The apartment is located in one of the most beautiful mountain resorts in France, with its old typical Savoyard chalets around its church, a jewel of the baroque... Val d'Isère will captivate authenticity lovers.

Wonderful Ski Property

We had a very happy stay in this apartment. I had never used Home and Away before and was a little apprehensive but the property was as described. The booking was easy to do and Pascale, the owner, was helpful and courteous pre-arrival. We had excellent directions from Pascale and when we arrived, quite a bit later than we had said we would be, were met by Ana, the property manager, who was extremely helpful throughout. We had one minor issue during the week, being unable to get the DVD player to work, (our fault), and she sorted it out very fast. The property is very well equipped, and we were a family of 2 parents, three adult sons, and adult nephew. As is common in ski properties, bedrooms were compact, but the living area is very large, full of light, airy, and has beautiful views up the ski slopes. We spent the end of each ski day on chairs on the balcony enjoying the sunset (and a beer!) The kitchen is not big, but is very well equipped with proper oven, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle etc. and all the cookware, dinnerware, and utensils you could possibly need. The dining table is very big and comfortable, and a lovely place to eat and play cards or just chat together. The location is very good, very close to 2 ski hire shops, 2 restaurants, and the ski slopes. Almost no effort required to walk a few yards onto the slopes, and ski down to Solaise etc, and we had an "on the flat" 2 minute walk across the nursery slopes on return, though it is possible to ski closer. Not so great was the small ski locker, but there were generous shoe/boot racks in the property, and a balcony for skis, so not a problem for us. To access the main resort, you can either walk across the nursery slope (pretty flat), or get the free ski bus, as Rond Point is separated from the main shopping area by a short tunnel. At peak times, the free bus comes every 5/10 minutes, though less frequently at other times. Only one stop on the free bus and you are in the main shopping area, which we all loved. Lots of lovely restaurants close by, and we really enjoyed the Italian restaurant immediately across from the apartment. The closest supermarket is Sherpa, which was just about 2 bus stops away in the town centre. Not a problem at all, as you can then pop back on the bus with your groceries, and have almost no distance to carry them, as the bus stop at Rond Point is just a few metres from the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment, and I would love to own it.

Très bon séjour à Val d'Isère

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Val d'Isère ; l'appartement est très confortable, bien équipé et spacieux. L'emplacement est parfait, la propriétaire très sympa ainsi que les personnes qui font les entrées et les sorties. Nous reviendrons !

Excellent stay in wonderful location

Excellent pre-trip comms and organisation. Very impressive and spacious flat, for three of us that stayed. All modern amenities and good wifi. Clean and as described. We used primarily as base to and from the conference centre and minutes away from all the ski lifts. Cafe next door and pizzeria across the road, as well as full kitchen facility, although we didn't use it. Warm and cosy despite big rooms and balconies overlooking the river. Perfect for a family. Thoroughly endorse the property. Thank you Pascale, until the next time!

Great flat - especially for children

The apartment was fantastic & well equipped for a holiday with two small children - travel cot was provided and it was only a stones throw from the ecole du ski's snow garden.
