We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mark's house in Gardena. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and its very convenient location. We were able to walk to restaurants and shops. Mark is very responsive when we needed him.
I never got the opportunity to meet the host however he was very helpful and replied very quickly whenever I had questions. We really enjoyed the Japanese styled room and the house had almost everything that we needed. Overall a very nice place to stay.
Where do I start?
Everyone writes your generic reviews of a nice house, well furnished, blah blah blah. Well, let me take you on a journey. A journey to a far far land in Gardena where apples grow and bamboo mats lie.
You pull up and you see a house on the corner. You get short whiffs of fresh mowed grass as you walk up to the door. The steel screen door opens without a creak as you punch in your passcode to unlock the magical kingdom. Slowly, the door opens as you notice the living room. Small, quaint, yet..... homely. You pass through, feeling the cold wooden floor against your toes. Walking past the sofa made for 4, the exploration of the house begins. The master bedroom. Directly connected to the living room. You feel the energy of relaxation the minute you walk in as the bamboo mat compresses against your feet. Hugging each footstep in. Drawing you to the floor futons that hold so many hours of peace and relaxation. Let us continue this journey. What's that? You can almost feel the joy of youth and willfulness as you enter the children's room. A bunk bed? Did we just become best friends?! Look at all this space for activities! Surely the kids will enjoy this. I paced on to the next room as i came across a single room with a bed. A real bed. Who needs those today anyways? This only seems like the cherry on the top for those that aren't comfortable sleeping on a grand futon made with the care of a thousand tears. And so this concludes our story of a thousand nights children. Enjoy your stay as I have and perhaps, just maybe, you may dream as lucid as I have.
P.S. There's an apple tree out back. Snow white taught me better than to touch those.
We had a great time and I recommend this unusual and cozy home to everyone! Good located close to Redondo Beach in a quiet and clean area! We'd love to come back anytime!
