Located between downtown and Hollywood in the heart of Sunset Junction in Silver Lake. 15 min walk to metro. Many bars, restaurants and stores are steps from this studio apartment. Full kitchen, bath, queen bed. High speed internet (Wi-fi) and cable included. No smoking in building and no butts left outside. Any smoking in unit is grounds for loss of damage deposit.
The neighborhood has both upscale trendy bars and restaurants but also has the local hole in the wall too. Many vegan choices as well as steakhouses.
You can walk to the famous Egyptian themed Vista movie theatre (where the manager dresses up as characters from whatever feature is playing). If you are hungry you have many choices of cute cafes or world class restaurants. If you are your own chef the grocery store, yummy and lots of markets are walking distance as well. The farmers market is a couple blocks away and is on Saturday mornings and Tuesday nights.
You can stroll among the hillside neighborhoods and get views of Griffith Park, The Observatory (which is beautifully lit up at night) and the famous Hollywood sign.
A 15 min walk to the red line metro. The metro can take you to Hollywood, the Valley, Downtown or south to LongBeach.
There is also a bus line 1/2 block away.
No off street parking. The street is permit only and I do have a permit for you to use while you are staying in the unit. I will keep $75 of your deposit if it is not returned to me when you vacate. Parking permits are like gold around here!
For people staying LESS then 30 days there is a city tax of 14%. This is the same tax you pay at hotels and it will show up automatically in the price.
The city of Los Angeles requires that I add a 14% tax to any guests that stay less then 30 days. I can either manually add this tax prior to you booking or collect it at check in. Again, this is only if you stay LESS then 30 days. Anyone over 30 days is not required to pay tax.
My selected payout method is a direct transfer (eCheck) since there is no fee associated with the bank transfer. If you choose to pay with a credit card the credit card transaction fee will be taken from your damage deposit. If you let me know you will be using a credit card ahead of time I can add the 2.5% to the booking fee.
Maximum occupancy is 2.
1 street permit parking pass will be available for your use during your stay. $75 will be deducted from your damage deposit if you do not return the pass.

I'm a mother of 2 and one of my girls is doing the short term rental stuff for me. I'm retired and visit family in other states often so my place is empty.
Gin Petros purchased this apartment in 2012
My husband and I stayed at the apartment for a month while visiting family for the holidays. It's a wonderful apt., conveniently located to many places--restaurants, parks, supermarkets. It is very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We arrived a little late (around 10:30 p.m.) and Brit met us and helped us with anything we needed; there was a young man--Matt I think--who was kind enough to help us with our luggage and then moved his car so we could park! Brit was available with any information/help we asked. All in all a wonderful experience! We will definitely consider staying there again!
My son was relocating to Los Angeles and needed a place to stay for 30 days while looking for an apartment. This apartment could not have worked out better. It was centrally located to the areas he was searching. The apartment was spacious and updated and had everything that he needed. Short walk to many restaurants and stores. Britt met us at the apartment to insure we were comfortable with the apartment and area. A great and fun place to stay.
I lived in the area for years and can't recommend this place enough. Everything seemed to be very recently renovated. Spacious, clean with a huge bathroom and a nice, quiet bedroom. I was there two days and literally did not hear another human being. Also, a very short walk to Sunset Junction with its many shops, restaurants, taco stands and bars. Great, great place. The owner is always there if you need him and absolutely invisible if you don't.
Great location, clean and comfortable. Didn't meet Gin, but her daughter Rocky was accommodating and helpful with questions I had about the city. I can't recommend this place enough!

Due to LA City taxes, all guests staying LESS than 30 days must pay a 14% transient occupancy tax (another word for a hotel room tax) to the city upon or before check in. This is the same tax you pay in LA hotels. If you are staying over 30 days I will remove this tax when I accept your booking.
* Approximate monthly price. Actual pricing will depend on the days of the month you stay.
