We are a family out of the northwest suburbs of Chicago that enjoy the quick weekend getaways that Galena provides. We fell in love with the areas many, many attractions and want to share this experience with others.
Robert Riddle purchased this townhome in 2014
This property is, in our eyes, the best of all worlds. Being located in the Galena Territory provides a quiet, serene getaway that is steps from the South Golf Course Clubhouse and scenic hiking trails. Not to mention the world renowned golf course, The General, the highly rated Eagle Ridge Spa, and the Guided Horse Trails provided by Shenandoah, the Territory provides many options for adult or family fun!
When the mood strikes for more excitement, Downtown Galena or the Chestnut Mountain Resort are only a quick car ride away. We believe that our guests will really appreciate what the location has to offer.
This property allows travelers to trade in the cookie-cutter hotel experience for one that offers colleagues a unique and comfortable space.
The condo was lovely. It was our first family vacation with our baby. The Pack n Play was very convenient for him to sleep in upstairs. Everything was very clean, supplies all laid out, wonderful location. We stayed in both nights to cook dinner and just had a great time! Robert even mailed us back a pillow that we left by mistake. Great hosts - would definitely return!
Loved that the deck looked onto treeline and that it was walking distance to Lookout Point. Master bedroom was very comfortable. Lots of pillows, and looked and smelled very clean.
This townhouse is located on a property that is secluded and quiet. The unit is very clean and comfortably appointed. The beds are very comfortable too.
Enjoy your stay, wish we could have stayed longer!
My wife was a bit worried about what we were walking into, once she saw the outside of these condos. (they are a bit on the rugged side) But once we walked into the unit all of her fears faded away. The unit was clean, nicely decorated, and we had plenty of room for our family of five. The passes for the Owners Club were a huge plus too. The kids loved the pools, which we went to every day. And Galena is just over a 10 minute drive away. We would absolutely stay here again.
My family stayed for 3 nights. The accommodations were perfect for our family of five, and as expected based upon description. Everything we needed was there, and it was nice for the kids to have their own room with their own TV. The Owner's Club was fantastic! A really nice perk! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway.
