3 Bedroom Spacious Garden Flat. Family friendly. Outstanding transport links.

Bedrooms 3
Space 914 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

3 bedroom 2 bathroom. With garden.

My comfortable and warm flat is the ideal launch pad to explore London. Located in Kensington & Chelsea, it has outstanding transport links; arrive anywhere in London fast with no hassle. The garden offers extra depth and tranquility. Just installed solid oak floor. Enjoy!

Modern, Well Equipped, 3 Bedroom Flat in Central London - Sleeps up to 8. Half a block from Earls Court Tube, Zone 1.

The property itself is a recently modernised lower ground floor flat. Windows are all double glazed. It features a spacious master bedroom with a convenient en-suite shower room and a second double bedroom. We have also recently converted utility room to provide a quirky and cosy little single bedroom, ideal for a single guest or perhaps one of the kids! We also provide a 3-seater sofa-bed in the lounge, allowing the flat to sleep 2 extra if needs-be. The main bathroom is also recently refurbished, with both bath and shower available.

The main living area is a large open plan space, featuring a fully equipped, modern kitchen with washing machine, dining table & chairs, and a comfortable lounge area with sofas and television.

Outside is a lovely intimate garden (70 square meters), with table, chairs, parasol and even a barbecue - ideal for relaxing at the end of a long day in the city (provided the British weather behaves!). There are outdoor electrical sockets and lights in the garden.

Wifi broadband internet is also provided. Please note neither the flat nor garden is wheelchair accessible.

The area is well lit and well covered by CCTV. Walking alone late at night is commonplace.

The flat is located on a main road so you can expect some noise in the front bedrooms. We have mitigated this with double glazing in the small bedroom and triple glazing in the master bedroom. You soon become accustomed to the hustle and bustle of London life.

William is my site manager and he helps with the day to day running. He is very open and is ready and willing to answer your questions during your stay.

About Alex

I have spent many years in London and now spend my time between Lima, Peru and London. I am a stay-at-home Dad/entrepreneur.

I am married to a Peruvian and have two young children.

I like visiting new places and following cultural pursuits.

I treat others how I myself would expect to be treated. I offer guests at my flat what I would expect to be offered.

Why Alex chose Kensington and Chelsea

Earls Court is on the doorstep of quintissential Kensington yet still at reasonable prices. You can walk to the heart of Kensington and Chelsea in 15 mins. Classic London pubs are to hand as are many restaurants. Supermarkets and Pharmacies are 5 minutes away if you need to pop out or something. The apartment offers a practical, cosy retreat from the bustle of London life.

What makes this apartment unique

My favourite thing about this property is the fact that I minimise time wasted getting around London. The Tube station is so close and with both District and Picadilly Lines on hand.

In the summer I love the garden as it offers an escape from the hustle and bustle and gives outdoor space for the children to play. We have just installed a solid English Oak floor throughout the flat giving a truly classical feel.

Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

This property was located in a wonderful location! It was definitely not frequented by tourists so we felt like part of the neighborhood. The flat was perfect for our family of 5. My kids loved the bunk beds & we loved that they had somewhere to hangout after a long day! The traffic was noisy out front but we were well aware of that to begin with & it just felt like we were really in London. We have been 2other times before & stayed in various parts & it was just as noisy. It didn't bother us or my kids at all. The neighborhood was great - just down the road were restaurants, shops & a grocery store. Everything we needed was right there. The tube station was very convenient too with a direct train to Heathrow (very handy with kids & luggage). William, the caretaker, was fantastic. He gave us lots of suggestions on places to eat and was very friendly. Thanks for a great trip!

Comfortable convenient flat

  • 4 of 5

Clean and well stocked flat. Great water pressure for showers and plent of hot water. Sofas a bit worn but fairly comfortable. Noisy busy street at all hours but nothing to be done about that! Steps away from tube and shopping. Overall a very good experience and would stay there again.

Lovely place , enjoyed the patioand so close to Earls court tube ( warwick rd entrance)Needs fan !

Great place great location

Front room noisy - street noise but we wore ear plugs - also weather was warm and due to noise we coukdnt keep the windows open in front so a fan to keep it cooler would be a huge help.

The patio was so nice to make use of and everything was clean and easy to find what we needed !

Great location, but small for 6 people!

  • 3 of 5

The location is great, but apartment a bit small and the street is very loud in the evenings. The special windows help, but if you want any cool air in the evenings of summer or air circulation, not very accommodating in the two front bedrooms especially, because you need to close window for quite and in turn makes it very warm for sleeping in summer. And no fans or air conditioning.Towels and bed linens are a bit worn and would have appreciated face cloth and a top sheet as to warm to cover up with quilt/comforter and also some kitchen towels would be helpful. Also apartment could use a good deep clean, A few spider webs and such and mold spores in the bathrooms which poses an issue for me especially, as I do actually have an allergy and caused nasal and head congestion for me. House manager seemed friendly and accommodating, but never actually came to introduce himself or go over anything. Owner was very attentive thru email prior to our arrival and gave some good suggestions for local establishments and such.

Owner's Response: Good to have some feedback. We have just repainted the flat - so sadly you just missed out! I just stayed in the flat myself and had not been aware of the bathroom problem. The extractor fan has been repaired and the bathroom painted, so should be good as new now. You are the first to have asked for air conditioning and or fans. If I get some more feedback akin to this then certainly fans are an easy fix. We do renew bed linen periodically. Air conditioning is not at all common in London in traditional apartments. The bustling noise of London life is hard to avoid and I do mention this in the description.

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay in London. The apartment was very close to the Earl's Court Metro stop making is so easy to get around. There is a grocery store near by as well. The street was a bit noisy, but we expected that. Lots of hot water in the showers. Kitchen had everything we needed. I would have liked to have bath mats to step out of the shower on, but we made do.William met us upon arrival and we were able to check in early. This really helped. I would not call it a three bedroom flat. It actually had 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area. Still, a good place to stay.

Perfect size for a family of 5

  • 5 of 5

1. Ideally located for quick access to the Piccadilly line (tube). Literally, about 4 minute walk to the platform.

2. Living room was very spacious and well laid out for a family w/ three kids to enjoy.

3. The bunk beds were fantastic. In the pics you'll see there are two potential "kid" rooms, one at the front of the house which has a little bed and not too much space and a second with bunk beds in it. The bunk bed room proved to be big enough for all three of our boys (8, 10, and 12) with one bunk bed actually a double and thus capable of accomodating four kids if you pushed it. This room is actually located at the back of the unit, next to the dining/living/kitchen area with a window to the private back patio. Our kids did so well in there, as its location isolates the room from the street noise off the entrance.

4. The private back patio was nice, but we were so busy w/ our days that we only made use of it to sip wine at sunset.

5. The manager was right next door and very friendly; that was a huge plus, although we didn't need to pester him with any issues, but it was nice to know he was there if we had needed something.

6. The TV and wi-fi worked great. Couches were more spacious than perhaps is evident from the pics.

7. We rented a car the last day and found driving to the unit from the airport surprisingly easy and parking only short walking distance (look on the google map and you'll see two "curved" roads to the SW of the main road upon which the unit sits; each has loads of street parking, particularly during mid-week).

8. The kitchen had everything we needed: several french presses, a water heater for tea/coffee, a large refrigerator, plenty of bowls and glasses, a dishwasher, all the extras you might forget (paper towels, sugar, salt, etc.). We only used the kitchen for breakfast, but it was great.

9. There is a late-night market right down the street that had nearly everything one could imagine stacked floor to ceiling.

10. Grocery and restaurants and Barclays ATM all within 5-10 minute walk.

11. Safe neighborhood - huge plus when travelling w/ kids.

Three negatives:

1. The towels were a bit spartan.

2. The toilet in the kids bathroom is on a pump so extended stay visits to the loo were done in our (master) bath.

3. Master a bit noisy at night w/ the road out front. That's london though.
