|Minimum Stay||5 nights|
The entire villa accommodates eight people and can be rented separately or as an ensemble. In the large house, each of three enchanting air-conditioned bedrooms sleeps two and opens to several generous living/dining spaces, including a wrap around patio that leads to the ocean-view pool refreshed by a fountain. Amble down the palm-lined path to enjoy the casita, abundant in charms, including a kitchen, living room, master bedroom, air-conditioning and a broad deck facing the sea. The pool house includes a full washer dryer. With two fully equipped kitchens, you may choose to dine at the villa or venture to any of Vieques’ delightful eateries. Your only choice then becomes whether to dip into the pool or to explore which of an array of breathtaking beaches, all a short jaunt from Villa Milagros.
Hope you all are doing good...everything is fine here...Red misses you folks...but has been busy escorting guests down the hill to the beach pretty much daily!!! Thanks again for staying at Villa Milagros we hope you had a great trip with your family and friends. Stay warm! thomas/red
Excellent location. Gorgeous views. We stayed with a large group for a wedding. The set up with 3 large bedrooms really worked well. This villa is complete for all your needs. We enjoyed the grill and hammock. Our grandsons couldnt stay out of pool. What a refreshing pool it is to get back to after a day in town and beaches. This location is ideal location for the beaches. Black beach a short walk away. Thomas was very attentive. He addressed all of our needs and had great knowledge of the island. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this property. We will stay here again.
A group of 11 of us stayed at the Villa Milagros compound which consisted of 2 Casita's and a three bedroom Villa. Over all it was a great experience. Thomas lives next door and was very attentive to our needs. Everything is exactly as it looks in the pictures. We enjoyed the pool daily, and explored different beaches around the island. We barbecued and cooked breakfast/lunch/dinner most days. Everything that was needed was available for that. My wife and I renewed our vows on the island to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and Thomas helped out with the selection of place, which was an ancient tree on this property with a view of the sunset. It was magical, and we could not have asked for a better place. I would highly recommend Villa Milagros as a property, and Thomas as the host. When my family & I return to Vieques, we will definitely be staying in one of Thomas places. If its a large group, we will be back at Milagros!
Our stay at Villa Milagros could not have been more perfect. First, we elected to take a taxi from San Juan to Fajardo and then a ferry to the island, rather than taking a plane. It was easy and very romantic, as well as inexpensive ($100 for the taxi regardless of number of passengers, $2 pp for the ferry and $25 taxi to the house. We arrived late at night, and Thomas Martin (neighbor and caretaker) was awaiting us on the very dark road with a flashlight to guide us. The next day, he offered us a ride to the car rental place. He checked in with us from time to time to see if there was anything we needed- very kind.
The house is very large, beautifully painted in Caribbean colors, and even though it was very hot all week we never once used the a/c but instead kept all window open for a nice breeze (there are window bars all around so this is safe). The sounds of the jungle were unusual for us city-dwellers but very romantic once you get used to them.
The large pool with waterfall is definitely a life-saver as you can only stay for so long on the beach and in the salt-water each day. It has beachballs floating in it to prevent the iguanas from taking a dip.
During our stay we went to two different beaches each day (you will need a 4x4 car), so as to see the maximum of this beautiful island. All the beaches were amazing: we could not agree on a favorite. Make sure you bring your snorkel gear.
In the late afternoon, we always came back home to relax at the pool and home-cook our meals. There is a large BBQ on the deck as well.
The house is really spacious and one has a choice of decks and rooms to hang out in. Each bedroom has their won bathroom so you always have lots of space. The neighbor's dog, Red, was a sweetheart and liked to quietly hang out with us at night. He would bark only when a horse or a big toad or iguana would approach the house, which made us feel well cared for and protected.
This was truly a dream vacation and we highly recommend this property if you want to get away from it all while having all the luxuries that you may require.
6 of us comfortably enjoyeddd ths spacious house wih lovely covered deck area and grill. The pool was a bonus for a quick dip when we didn't feel like heading the short walk to the bbbbeach. The walk to town is a good 20 minutes, but folks are friendly and will stop and give you a ride... or rent a car or scooter, which allows you to explore the many beaches on the island. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils(although the knives could use some sharpening). Thomas was right next door and very attentive. Be sure to kayak the Bioluminescent Bay! Each room had a double bed and roomy bathroom. Extra single mattress for additional "room" in the living space. Loved to sleep with the sound of the waves coming from afar!
