This country villa was built on two levels in 2001 to high standards & is lovingly furnished and well equipped. It is situated in 2 acres of open land, bordered by a small stream and offering fabulous views to the mountains. It is fully fenced and gated.

The drive features an ornate fountain and there is plenty of parking.

On the upper level there is a double en-suite bedroom & a double bedroom & twin bedroom sharing a bathroom plus a separate WC.

The spacious and open sitting room boasts a log fire, a must for the cooler winter months, a 32' TV with Acox Freeview Sky package and WiFi.

The large kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher and microwave.

On the lower level, the casita with it´s independent entrance, has recently benefited from a make-over (Feb 2015) and offers twin bedroom accommodation & wet room with flat roll-in shower. It has a separate toilet and a small kitchenette with washer / dryer / fridge / 4 ring hob / hairdryer / toaster / kettle. This is an additional cost of £350.00 to the main villa if requiring more than 6 people. Suitable for wheelchair users too. Wheelchair accessible due to built in ramps, and hoist available downstairs.

The main house and the casita can be booked together or they can be booked independently of each other however only one group of guests will stay at the property at any one time, ensuring complete privacy. The main house and casita are priced independently and this is reflected in the pricing section.

The property has hot and cold Air Conditioning.

In front of the house is a large swimming pool (10x5m) with roman steps set in the lovely gardens. There is a beautiful, hand-built BBQ with its own large, covered dining area with bar, fridge and sink. Spacious terraces & patios give plenty of space for everyone and perfect for al fresco dining and watching the night skies.

A gardener visits once a week to maintain the gardens and clean the pool.

As the villa has its own private pool, gardens and barbecue/bar area, it is ideally suited for a family with children or mixed age groups, or couples wanting to get away from it all in the seclusion of a private villa. It is also within walking distance of bar/restaurants, but a car is essential to access the main town. Ideally located for nearby local golf courses; Alhaurin Golf and Lauro Golf and centrally situated for touring and exploring all that Spain has to offer.

Supermarkets and shops are within a short drive as are many bars and restaurants. If you love to BBQ you´ll love the butchers situated on the nearby Poligono La Rosa or the English butcher in town.

Both two levels of the property are wheelchair accessible. There is a steep slope from the lower accommodation to the upper, adequate assistance is advisable. The pool is 1.2 metre deep in the shallow end and 1.8 metre at the deep end.There is easy parking and turning for cars. Hot water is provided by electric immersion heater. All electricity/hot water and water are inclusive in the rental charge. We can help to organise a wheelchair accessible taxi from Malaga airport to the property on request. Disabled equipments ie: a commode/shower chair - hoist and sling - electric profiling bed - are available on request. Lovely Villa. Poor owner communication/management

The villa itself is lovely. Perfect for that get away from it all holiday. However, on our return to the UK despite no problems, we had a very difficult time getting the security deposit paid back. The owner repeatedly ignored emails requesting payment. When payment was made it was for the wrong amount and although eventually after many days of waiting, and sending emails (that were not responded to). The money was repaid. No explanation or apology. We will not be returning to this Villa. Very poor communication/customer service

Comfortable family villa

We have just returned from our 4th visit to Casa Clara this time with 4 generations of our family and once again had a great time. The fact that it was our 4th visit and suited all 4 generations is testament to the villa. The villa is well equipped inside and has great outside space both in the sun and the shade if needed and a larger than average villa pool. The communication from the the owner Claire is excellent and the local support if needed is very friendly and prompt. A car is required as the local shops and restaurants are not within easy walking distance.

Loved this villa, want to go back!

Just been for 2 weeks, in a gorgeous location set a 5 min drive away from the town, through beautiful olive groves. Villa was perfect for 8 of us, loved the bar and Bbq area. Stunning views of the mountains exactly as described, and town had great restaurants and bars. Also less than half hour drive to Marbella. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything else, definitely hope to go back!

ALHAURIN EL GRANDE a Moorish town full of shops, bars and superb restaurants is just 15 minutes scenic drive from the coast with its beautiful beaches and just 1,5km from Casa Clara.

Alhaurin has a large selection of banks, chemists, Mercadona supermarket, and many groceries selling fresh produce, coffee shops selling fresh bread and bakeries, delicatessens and artisan shops. There is also a library and a health centre.

Coin, a working Spanish town, (10 mins by car has a great selection of restaurants and large supermarkets – Dia, Mercadona, Lidl, La Trocha shopping centre with another Supermarket, Dom Market)

Guaro is a very traditional Spanish white village and is a 15 minute drive from the property. In September, the village plays host to the incredible Moorish festival of Luna Mora, where the entire village is lit by candlelight – it really is a sight to behold. Come and visit and enjoy the ambience as well as the finest food and drinks and a multitude of artisan stalls selling unique jewellery, clothing and traditional artefacts.

Monda is another very traditional Spanish white village and is just 10 minutes’ drive from Casa Clara offering a selection of bars and restaurants.

Mijas, an old white-washed village perched on a hillside with breath-taking sea views, is a great day out with many tourist shops, a traditional bullring and much more....

The villages of Ojen and Tolox are all close by where you can catch a glimpse of the real Spain and the traditional Spanish way of life.

For beach lovers, the popular seaside resort of Fuengirola is 20 minutes away with all the facilities you could ask for including shopping centres, bars and restaurants, a water park and a Zoo.

The fashionable beach resort of Marbella is also close by, 20 minutes, where you must visit the stunning Old Town filled with boutique shops and fragrant, flower-filled squares, take in a traditional Flamenco Show or just people watch on the beach promenade.

For art and culture lovers, Malaga provides some stunning tourist attractions including the Picasso Museum, the Cervantes Theatre and a magnificent Cathedral. If you want to travel further there are regular buses and trains from Malaga to Granada, Seville and even Madrid.

For Golf Lovers Lauro Golf can be found in the middle of beautiful pure nature in spectacular surroundings.

The course has 27 holes that can be played in three different combinations, all par 72.

At Alhaurin Golf Club you can enjoy one of the most spectacular golf courses in Spain. It consists of 18 holes par 72, designed by legendary player Severiano Ballesteros and 9-hole par 3, with great views of the Sierra de Mijas and the Mediterranean Sea.

Things To Do

If you just want to relax and get away from it all then you can simply chill-out and enjoy the weather in the secluded and private garden, do a little bird watching, go horse riding or venture out for a country walk.

By car, Casa Clara provides easy road access to the Costa del Sol. En-route you pass El Refugio, where a superb walk to the Mirador provides stunning views over the bay of Marbella to Morocco and Gibraltar. There is also a Parador offering fine dining or light lunches.

The beautiful cities of Sevilla and Granada both are just 2 hours away or in winter you can ski in the Sierra Nevada resort.

An hour’s drive will take you to Ronda and its famous Gorge, which leads you to the gateway to the Pueblos Blancos. Or visit El Chorro and swim in the Ardales Lakes.

Gibraltar is accessible within an hour and half and if you drive a little bit further you’ll discover the unspoilt beaches of Tarifa and the Costa de la Luz.

Horse riding available at 'Eqinatural' at Barranco Blanco (where the famous waterfall is) 25€ for 1 1/2 hours - to all standards.

A refundable Security deposit of £300.00 is payable with the balance 15 days prior to flying. The prices quoted are for the main house only accommodating a max of 6 people in 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 Twin). A further 2 people can be accommodated in the casita (Lower apartment) in a twin bedroom at an additional cost of £350.00/week. If late/early flights we can arrange a welcome pack at a small charge. please enquire.

The casita can also be booked independently of the main house. The refundable security deposit for the casita is £100.

There will only be one group of guests staying at the property at any one time.

The property is available from 4pm on the day of arrival. Departure time is strictly by 10am on the day of departure to allow adequate time to clean the property and get it ready for incoming guests. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
