Overview

About the property

Owner Managed Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6), 7 Night min. - Sat to Sat

Enjoy incomparable panoramic views while you stay in our condo in this gulf front unit, located directly on world famous Crescent Beach. We take pride in our location. Guests will enjoy a full functioning kitchen for cooking & entertaining, comfortable bedrooms & sweeping gulf views. This is an owner managed condo therefore we do not have on-site 24/7 maintenance that you would receive at the high-end hotels on the beach for $1000 a night, or the 1 bedroom brand name or boutique hotels that come without a view and are not on the beach, where you would pay $200 to $300 a night. This is an incredible price you would pay for the privacy and beauty of a private condo in such a great location it is quite a bargain. We offer all the functions of a home away from home, at an amazing rate and will return your call and be of service should a major issue ever arise. Spend your days swimming, sunbathing, walking, or jogging along the four mile stretch of pure white powdery sand, and then relax with cocktails, and savor the breathtaking sunset from the privacy of your family room.

This spectacular unit was completely remodeled and refurnished in late 2003. It features the best of everything, including a fully-equipped stainless steel and granite designer kitchen, with granite bath countertops and modern fixtures.

There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, one guest bedroom has two twin-beds and the other a queen bed. There is a state-of-the-art entertainment center in the spacious living room/dining room area, with 52 inch plasma HDTV and free wireless internet access. The unit's furnishings are upscale and elegant with a 'Tommy Bahama' motif.

The complex offers a beautiful Heated Pool and direct access to a Private Beach area with chairs. The location is walking distance to Siesta Village's shops, restaurants, and to a marina with access to water sports and activities. You will have a memorable vacation in this fantastic vacation resort spot!

Non-smoking unit. No pets.

Nice size - disappointed that the windows didn't open to get the sea breezes at all.

  • 4 of 5

The condo was a nice size, had beach towels and some sand toys. The elevator was broken when we arrived and we were on the 7th floor! We found out it had been broken most of the day but was fixed shortly after we arrived - about 7 pm. Was disappointed that there was no balcony and that none of the windows opened. I guess I should have read the reviews more closely. It was a rare 3 bedroom tho - so if you need the size it will do for your vacation.

Pretty good

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here with our family. It is the only 3 bedroom in crescent arms. Pros it has a great view, the kitchen is well equipped, location is great to get to village or captain Curts, ample beach chairs at beach no need to get up early and save them.

Cons

This unit is rather warn, tile floor all cracked, windowsin dining area don't open, no screened in porch, water pressure not good, mattress in master bedroom bad!!

We have been coming to siesta key for over 30 years and you need to realize these units are rented a lot by families and they take a lot of wear and tear. Also these complexes were built years ago!!

Owner's Response: Thank you Denise for your review! I am glad you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of the brief walk to Captain Curts! The unit during this time of year is put under a lot of wear and tear with consistent weekly rentals. The tiles that are broken in the corner of the main area is something we are fixing in the near term. The windows are safety windows given the yearly hurricane season which can cause extreme damage to the unit. The windows on the sides do open so you can hear the waves and there also is one window that opens on the far right side. I believe I mentioned this trick however I wish I knew if you weren't able to figure that one out because I would have been happy to walk you through. The master bedroom mattress is a standard yet new mattress which could have been why it felt perhaps a bit stiff for you? Other than those few things, I am glad you enjoyed your time. My best, Maria

Ends at nice view.

Stayed March 2017. Owners are very nice, but property is disappointing. I have stayed at Crescent Arms before, and there are better units for less money. No windows open in the unit. Slider in MB is broken (years after tornado), and open slightly, so you can hear the noise between buildings at night. Nice beach and sunset view through cloudy window panes.

Owner's Response: Thank you John for your review! I am glad you stayed with us. he windows are safety windows given the yearly hurricane season which can cause extreme damage to the unit if they are blown in. The windows on the sides of the unit do open so you can hear the waves and there also is one window that opens on the far right side facing the water which allows for fresh breeze and the sound of waves. I believe I mentioned this trick however I wish I knew if you weren't able to figure that one out because I would have been happy to walk you through. The master bedroom sliding door just takes some extra muscle to open but I am glad you were able to get it open! This is an owner managed condo therefore we do not have on-site 24/7 maintenance that you would receive at the high-end hotels on the beach for $1000 a night or the 1 bedroom cheaper hotels that do not offer a view and are not on the beach where you would pay $200 to $300 a night So for the price you would pay with us at our condo is a great deal. We offer all the functions of a home away from home, at a great rate. This time of year, the unit takes a lot of wear and tear however each year we do a full update - with painting, new carpeting and repair work. We take pride in our unit and are glad that you stayed with us. My best, Maria

Good

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Crescent Arms. There beach access was great and the view from our condo was beautiful. There are beach chairs provided to use. The pool is very clean, deep and gorgeous. The three bedroom and two baths were perfect and a nice size for our family. Please be aware that the laundry unit is per floor and shared by the other renters. We did have a slight problem with ants in the kitchen, but only if food was left out. The kitchen was great to use with an eating area that seats 4, granite counters and a huge stainless refrigerator. We would definitely consider this condo for anther stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you Marlin for your review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! We take pride in our unit and feel grateful to offer it to our guests. As far as the ants go, we have never had an issue unless food it left out on the counters overnight. With any home, and especially a unit in a warm climate, leaving food out will attract bugs. We made sure to have a big refrigerator so you can store everything! Hope to see you back next year! Maria

Great location, property inside needs attention

  • 3 of 5

My family (4 people) plus my parents stayed in August for a week's vacation. I read every review—they received all 5 stars, hence my surprise after we actually got there. My first impression after we did a walk-through was trying to open the blinds in the twin bedroom and having the entire apparatus fall off the window. It was completely cracked off, had obviously been broken for a while. It was clear that the cleaning company was taking advantage that the owner wasn’t around because I found a dusty, cobwebbed nightgown and flips flops in the corner of the room between the bed and the wall and the window sills, dresser and artificial plant in this room were also covered in a layer of dust. The windows in two of the bedrooms were ducktaped shut which if you can ignore the optimal factor, is stil frustrating because you cannot open the windows in either room. I immediately called Maria to talk to her about this, she explained that the tornado this year broke the windows----my question is why are they waiting to fix them? She also was not willing to get a new blind for the window (it is difficult to sleep when the room is not dark), but my husband just managed to jam the blind back up so at least our children could have a somewhat dark room. In the shower in the main bedroom, although spacious, the hand shower is broken and somebody just tried to tape it on the wall (didn’t stay). However, the two most frustrating things: Maria told me on the phone that the windows in the family rm looking out to the ocean opened since they are screened in (because this was imp. to me since there was no balcony). Her statement was not true, only one barely tipped open and looked like it would fall off the hinges so we kept it shut. Secondly, there was a small balcony off the main bedrm, which we could not get open. Maria told me that the screws were just too tight and to call maintenance. After repeated attempts by maintenance, we were told that it is rusted shut and won’t open. No where to hang wet clothes, no listening to the waves. I don't usually write reviews, but after reading everyone else's, I really feel like these are things I would want to know. I would rate this unit 3.5 stars based upon overall upkeep. If you are just looking for location and a fab beach, book this unit. But, if you have expecations for inside the unit, might want to rethink. Owner needs to qualify the price with the quality IN the unit, not just bank on the location.

Owner's Response: Dear Previous Guest, Thank you for your review. I would like to address your concerns that you mentioned below. The blind issue that occurred during your stay was something that was out of our control and something that we could not fix within a one week time period considering the scale of what needed to be done since it seems a previous guest must have damaged the blinds and then did not bring this to our attention. I did explain this to you over the phone as I quickly tried to remedy this situation to avoid any further disturbance to your stay. As far as the cleaning issue, this was also something that was out of our control however I appreciated you telling me this because we have since switched cleaning crews since that is unacceptable to have anything dusty, full of cobwebs and anything left over from a previous guest. The windows that have duck tape around them were to keep them sealed after we had tornado damage from the spring tornado. We have an insurance claim through the building to repair these pricey windows which is taking a significant amount of time - considering the number amount of units that need to have these repairs and insurance claims processed. The shower handle has been fixed in the bathroom. I apologize that you misunderstood me regarding the windows opening in the living room. The windows facing the water do not open however there is the window that opens on the other wall where you are able to hear the waves since you are a stones through from the water. As far as the sliding glass door, we have a screw driver inside the unit where you can unscrew the screws to open this door. We have had issues with this being left open which then results with a freezing up of our air conditioning since the heat then enters the condo. We leave this closed and screwed in for safety and for sealing the room off from external heat. I feel that I was available and willing to help you through all of your concerns during your stay to the best of my ability. We hope that despite these few hiccups that you enjoyed your vacation at our beautiful home.

Owner's Response: Thank you for sending this review! We have fixed the blinds and hired a new cleaning company back in October 2016. We have since had a much better experience in terms of communication on what is needing to be repaired and have heightened the frequency of maintenance in between guest stays. The windows are safety windows given the yearly hurricane season which can cause extreme damage to the unit if they are blown in - hence why some of them do not open as well as why a few of them have yet to be replaced because this is a major expense. The windows on the sides of the unit do open so you can hear the waves and there also is one window that opens on the far right side facing the water which allows for fresh breeze and the sound of waves. The master bedroom sliding door just takes some extra muscle to open. We take pride in our unit and are glad that you stayed with us. My best, Maria
