Our entire family attended Ole Miss, raised in the MS Delta, then Oxford. Our family started out owning a condo at Sage Meadow years earlier and loved the area so much that later after my Late husband lost his fight with Cancer, 2009, we bought another condo at Sage Meadow for our family to enjoy. Our family, formerly of Carroll County and Greenwood lived in Oxford for many years; our Son, Graduated from The University of MS Law School, his Dad's Alma-mater, is now a Patent Attorney now residing in DC; our daughter, prior to graduating Ole Miss, with a degree n a Hospitality Mgt, worked at Neilson's on the Oxford Square for 7 years and currently resides in Franklin, TN working in retail sales. Before leaving Oxford, I worked on the Square as a lender at FNB. I have relocated to Brandon, MS, at the Reservoir. Now remarried, We are blessed to share six children between us, all educated at MS Universities; Ole Miss, Millsaps, MS State, USM, and MC. I will always hold Oxford dear to my heart as our second home.
Oxford is a small village town with big city venues and culture. You can't help but fall in love with the history, art, culture and its residents.
Wanda Holly Robinson purchased this condo in 2010
This condo is privately located within city limits, small and nestled within an established neighborhood. Its known for second homes of professionals and Ole Miss Alumni who regularly attend the SEC football games and all the festivities the Oxford Square has to offer throughout the year. The architecture is very upscale and has the Colonel Reb himself stamped onto the sidewalks throughout the complex. This condo is convenient to shopping, Ole Miss, the Oxford Square, Restaurants and other local attractions. There are three ways to exit from this location so you will have plenty of options to bypass heavy traffic during peak seasons!
Options for this rental include but not limited to daily maid service, Concerige service, catering for the grove, stock bar and refreshments upon request, etc. We also offer free Wifi and cable, full size washer/dryer, nice patio to entertain.
We had a great weekend in Oxford! Accommodations were wonderful, house was nicely appointed and fully equipped for us to make breakfast every morning. The beds were very comfortable however even with the roll away and couch it was a bit tight for 6 adults to sleep. The roll away and couch would be suitable for smaller children, but a bit of a challenge for adults. All in all a great and convenient condo to my son's house in the Retreat, the campus and square.
My wife and I stayed in the condo while helping our daughter and some of her friends move into The Retreat. It was very convenient because it was just down the road. The place was very nice and clean, and the location was perfect for what we needed. I could see it as a very good place to rent for a football weekend or similar visit to see your Ole Miss student. One thing that was not perfect was the wifi. I thought there was wifi available, and there may be, but I was never able to connect to get a little work done so I used my daughter's new place. This could have been my fault however, but I would recommend clarity on the issue.
My wife, young daughter, and I enjoyed an extended stay at this wonderful townhouse. Everything about our time in Oxford was fantastic, and a lot of that had to do with our accommodations. Both the owner and property manager were kind, attentive to our needs, and extremely easy to work with. The townhouse is in a quiet, nestled-away area of Oxford that is still close to Jackson Avenue and Highway 6/278, allowing for easy access to the University of Mississippi, the Square, and other attractions (there's plenty of parking in the complex, and although Oxford is bicycle and pedestrian friendly, visitors will find it easier to have a car). The neighborhood's residents consist of students and younger families, so we felt at ease with our surroundings. The home is fully furnished--including the kitchen--and has plenty of space, and is perfect for relaxing and for entertaining. The living room is comfortable and perfect for socializing, and the back patio also provides a great atmosphere for hanging out. Both king-size beds and their sheets/comforters are amazingly comfortable. This truly was our home away from home, and on return visits we will definitely stay here. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Oxford for a weekend, a week, or a month.
We were in Oxford for a week to visit our son. The condo was conveniently located near Jackson Avenue and had everything we needed for a great stay. The owner was wonderful to work with and we would recommend this unit to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in Oxford.
I'm an Ole Miss alum that now lives in D.C. Finding a place to stay in Oxford during Ole Miss football games is difficult to say the least. A friend of my recommended this town home and I could not be more happy.
The property is an xtremely well appointed two story home with the bedrooms upstairs and the living room/kitchen downstairs. My friends and I were happy that each bedroom had a private bathroom, or rather our girlfriends very much appreciated this fact.
The downstairs area is very large and has plenty of room for hanging out and hosting before the game. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio for a little pregame fun before heading to the Grove.
I'll be back again!
This was such a wonderful place to stay. Me and 4 of my Sorority sisters needed a place to stay in Oxford and we found a jewel on VRBO. This town home was so beautiful and quaint. It had all the amenities we were looking for and some we didn't need because of the cold. The owner of this place was very nice and cordial. I have stayed in a lot of homes through VRBO but this was probalby one of my best finds. The price was excellent, the space was great. The bed's slept wonderfully. She had more than one garbage bag and more than one role of toilet paper. See that is what you normally get in the rented vacation homes and then you are on your own. But not at this house. The owner even made sure we had firelogs to use the firepit. Well there is nothing like good old Southern Hospitality and that is what you will get in the is lovely two bedroom town homes that have beds that are fit for Queens.
