Wow it feels and looks like a Cabin up North! Are we even in Fl?

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin was great. Super spacious with everything you can possibly need to cook, be entertained and relax. The boys went out in the little boat to the river with their dads and it was so quiet and peaceful😍

The hammock provided hours of fun for all the kids and we got to watch some vhs movies that I enjoyed as a kid like the land before time :) we made smores in the campfire outside and when it rained we made smores dip in the cast iron skillet that was in the kitchen(told ya they have pretty much everything) you just need clothes and groceries. Renee was super sweet and helpful. Bug spray is a necessity but even with those pesky bugs it was so worth it. Pretty much every room in the cabin had huge windows overlooking the woods 360 degrees. The decor might not be for everyone but we enjoyed reading all the quirky signs and I think it went well with the cabin feel. We are runners so we appreciated the trail that was a short walk away. We ran and came accross a boat dock to the river and it was just so beautiful. Overall we loved this place and are already making plans to return soon.

Owner's Response: You guys were great to have and it makes me so happy that others enjoy the Cabin as much as I do. Cooler weather is nice to have for you can enjoy the fireplace and the outside fire pit. Maybe you all can come back in the winter. Hope to see you again and thanks for the great review. Sincerely, Sue Ann Hunter, Owner

Nice cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend getaway with 10 friends at the cabin. The house was roomy, clean, & had a lot of yard space with a great firepit & sitting area in the back. River Ratz is just walking distance & has delicious food & great service. We spent most of the weekend about 40 min away scalloping at Crystal River. We made a great dinner at the house with our scallops & had everything we needed in the kitchen for a wonderful meal. We made smores after dinner & played a few of the games they had on the porch. It was a great time.

Rustic and Comfy with Plenty to Do

  • 5 of 5

Four of us (two couples) stayed here for an extended weekend. We were delighted to discover a relaxing and well-equipped cabin in a beautiful setting. It's roomy and comfortable, decorated with knick-knacks everywhere, and well-stocked with plenty of dishes, pans, utensils, linens, and even spices and herbs. The owner (Sue) and the property manager (Renee) are cheerful and helpful and a pleasure to work with. The cabin is on a few acres of woods on the Withlacoochee river less than half of a mile from Nobleton - a very small town with a couple of decent restaurants. We wished we could stay longer and will be going back.

Keep in mind that it's older and much of the housewares are too, but that is not a negative at all, as it is in keeping with the classic log cabin feel. The backyard is on a lagoon of the river so, if the water level is low, you may have trouble launching a canoe or boat here. (There is a boat launch and canoe rental within walking distance.) Some older boats and bicycles are supplied as are sports equipment and grills. A paved bike trail nearly fifty miles long runs nearby, less than a quarter of a mile away, on which you can pedal to town or to lakes and beaches.

Highly recommended.

Perfect get away!

  • 5 of 5

The house is very home-y! Our group enjoyed the outdoor amenities. The garage is full of games!! The bike trail is close to the house and very enjoyable. The house was complete with everything we needed and it's very clean. The back yard and fire pit was very relaxing and accommodated our large group. The pictures don't do the place justice. It's so much better than the pictures entail!! It's was very quiet with a lot of birds to watch outside. It's a perfect place to get away!

Great place to relax

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The kids enjoyed the bike trail, playing basketball and corn hole. The only complaint were the beds. The master was good, but the others weren't the most comfortable. Still better then tent camping though. We'd come again.
