Ideal for 'glamping'. Rented only from April - October, this 18 foot RV is in a secluded space with a large meditation garden on one side and stairs down to the lake on the other. I live on the lake and there are only two other families on this lake. We have all been coming here since we were kids so it holds a special place in our hearts and we love the privacy and the beauty of this secluded lake. There are no gas motors and the lake is very clean with many springs keeping it that way.
It's on a peninsula surrounded by popular trees and the breezes always blow off from the small lake. This lake has no motors on it and is spring fed. It is connected to a larger lake by a channel. The RV has a full bath, fridge, stove, oven, coffee maker, sheets, towels, pots, pans, dishes. It has two fold out comfortable couches that pull out and convert easily into beds - one double and one single. I can make them up ahead of time so that they are ready for you when you get here if you like.
Ideal for couples, girlfriends, or a single person looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding.
I have been teaching contemplative walking meditations, offering life transition ceremonies and retreats here in this safe, sacred space for three decades. The restorative energy here is amazing. Many say they feel it as soon as they drive in the driveway!
Imagine floating in the small, quiet lake that mirrors the clouds and natural shoreline of the trees. Around you fish are jumping, turtles sunning, birds fishing, dragonflies galore! So bring something to float on or ask me for a water lounge.
It's 35 minutes away from Grand Rapids which is a fun city to explore and for ArtPrize enthusiasts.
My mother found this property and lake in the mid 60's.I used to stay here in the summers as a child with my grandparents in their RV. I raised my daughters here and am passing it on to my grand children. There are only two other families on the lake and they have been coming here as children as well!! So it's special to us and we love it.
Daina (Dinah) Puodziunas purchased this recreational vehicle in 1980
Great fishing, lots of wildlife, no gas motors so it's a clean, spring fed lake. It's beautiful, relaxing, and rejuvenating. It is very private. You have your own meditation garden and views of nature from every window with no other buildings or people around. This property is located 40 minutes to downtown Grand Rapids, 50 minutes to Lake Michigan, close enough for folks from Chicago, Lansing, Ann Arbor, or Detroit to find it great for a weekend get away.
It's only 40 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids and 15 minutes from great restaurants, quaint shops and boutiques in Rockford. You can rent canoes in Rockford to go down the river if you want or rent bicycles to do down the White Pine Trail. PJ Hoffmaster - my favorite Lake Michigan beach is only 50 minutes door to door!! Come visit Art Prize in downtown Grand Rapids from Sept. 21 to Oct. 9. Come home, have an outdoor fire, pour a drink and relax to the sounds of nature.
It was wonderful to have Laura and her friend stay in the RV at Enchanted Lake. They brought their own kayaks and fishing poles and were ready to fish from the time they arrived! The communication with them was easy. They took great care of the place and left it in great condition. Everything was in its place. I felt they respected the place in all ways and really appreciated all the lake had to offer. I would recommend Laura to anyone as a fantastic guest.
Great spot for anyone looking to get away from all the noise of every day life, catch their breath, and reconnect with themselves and the universe. Essentially a very nice campsite. Was outside most of the time but camper served it's purpose of a cozy, comfortable sleeping quarters just fine. Didn't use any of the appliances, cooked everything over the fire embers I had constantly burning the 2.5 days I stayed there, watching the leaves fall as the moon chased the sun around. The friendly host Dinah made sure I had everything I needed. The bonus paths, stone statues, landscaping, and layout of the site create a more transcendent, meditative atmosphere. Didn't bring the fishing gear but with all of the evening splashing I heard I will be sure to next time. If you like what you see in the pictures, there is no catch here...it's that and more. Enjoy!
I recently had a weekend girlfriend's getaway at this little trailer in the woods. It was exactly as it is represented. We were warm and comfortable despite a night of rain. The lake is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed using the paddle boat to take a tour of fall colors and a blue heron. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. If you drink a lot of coffee you might want to bring a full size coffee maker. Peaceful wooded property gave us a chance to relax and rest.
The Enchanted Acres are just as described and as the photos show. It is a totally natural setting, with turkeys walking through the property and squirrels and chipmunks running everywhere. I even saw a hawk circling overhead. I did not see another person the whole weekend.
The trailer is as cute as it could be. And Dinah has thought of everything to make your stay more comfortable. Of course the kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and dishes, there are extra blankets and she has even left sample sizes of common toiletries in the bathroom for your use!
There was a cool breeze all weekend, and she left a fan which I did not need. The cool air off the lake was wonderful and at night I could hear the owls. I completely enjoyed my stay and would rent again when in the area. Thanks Dinah!
If you are looking to get away, need peace and solitude, look no further. This is where you want to stay. The camper has all of the comforts of home while surrounded by quiet nature. The only sound we heard we're of birds during the day and owls at night while sitting around the fire. This is a perfect place to go for two people looking to reconnect with nature and each other. If you want to explore, there are a couple of cute little towns close by where you can do some antiquing and have a meal. I would stay here again the next time we need to get away from the hustle and bustle or work and the city.
If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. Camping without most of the hassles. No suprises, about what we expected. We'll try and make it back.
My daughter noticed the tree swing right off and she was swinging before we even unpacked. We thoroughly enjoyed the secluded setting and got a kick out of watching the wildlife. The vintage metal lawn chairs, like grandma used to have, were very nice indeed. They were comfortable when we set around the fire at night to roast marshmallows. Oh, and they even provide your firewood. The lake is just down the hill where we found a paddle boat and a fishing boat. Since I love to fish this was just the ticket! I would liked to have had anchors on the boat but it wasn't a big deal. One evening my daughter tied her large inner tube with a long rope to the boat and I pulled her out on the lake. So there we were, I enjoyed my fishing while she lounged in the water.
The RV was a good fit for the two of us. Don't bother to drag any supplies with you, except food of course, since the RV has it all. We converted the kitchen table and benches to a 2nd bed at night which worked out pretty good. The only complaint I had was the water heater kept shutting off. I asked for help and Daina was there within 10 minutes. We were only able to stay two days but would have liked to stay longer. Maybe next time.

There is a great little country store just down the street with excellent pizza, Amish cheese, and stuff you may have forgotten to bring. There is a Meijer store with decent organic veggies and everything you would need 15 minutes away in Greenville.

I'm sorry, but there are no pets or children allowed for a number of reasons. I also need 48 hours notice of any cancellation. The RV does NOT have air conditioning, but it is in a shady location and the breezes blow up from the lake to the camper. It DOES have a very good infra red heater for the colder months.
