My husband and I enjoy the outdoors. We lead typical lives in Phoenix: busy with our jobs and raising our boys. The quiet found in Greer is priceless, as are the many outdoor activities close at hand. We enjoy hiking, taking in the Autumn colors, fishing, skiing, running and cycling, and taking long evening walks.
Molly Butler Lodge and Cabin purchased this cabin in 2012
I love Greer. My grandparents owned this cabin since the 1980s. My siblings and I spent every summer in Greer. My husband and I have been bringing our 3 boys up to Greer every summer since they were born. Greer is a special place for our family.
In 2012, my husband and I had the pleasure of buying my grandparents' cabin. We spend as much time as possible there. But when we are not there, we love knowing that others are enjoying the beauty that is in this cabin and in Greer.
Come take a break and enjoy some time at this treasure in Greer!
This is an exceptionally quiet retreat. On its own acre, there is plenty of space between it and neighboring properties to give it a serene atmosphere. The side deck is spacious with numerous room to relax with coffee or enjoy a morning Yoga routine. In the evening it is an ideal space to visit, have a drink and listen to the wind in the trees. Squirrels and rabbits abound, and hummingbirds in buzz about in Spring, Summer and Fall. There is also a flagstone back patio, partially covered, where there is still more space to relax, as well as grill.
If you are looking for a luxury cabin, this is not it, BUT, if you want a wonderful, cozy, well appointed, comfortable cabin in the woods, this is the place for you! Very quiet, it is off Main St. and has a secluded feel. We brought groceries and ate our meals in, finding the kitchen was well equipped. The cabin has wifi and satellite tv. We had our small dog with us, and had brought some pet fencing. We found the back patio has a raised wall surrounding it, and we were able to block off the two open ends so we could use the patio with our dog not having to be leashed. The Greer Cafe was a short walk away, and hiking and fishing were close by. Gorgeous area, we loved the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home!
This was our family's first trip to the White Mountains....but will not be our last! In transit to our vacation home in Sedona, we opted to stay a few days in Greer in order to ski at the nearby resort. We were not disappointed with the resort, and were even more pleasantly surprised with the wonderful cabin. It's very spacious and well appointed....and so happy to have W/D on property. The woods were wonderful for our three kids to play and our dog enjoyed the great outdoors as well. The cabin is very comfortable and has A LOT of space...with two large decks/patios it worked well for our family of five. Our focus was skiing, so we didn't take advantage of the hiking trails, but perhaps on another visit. I would recommend bringing groceries if you plan to stay more than 2 nights, as restaurants are very limited in Greer (especially off-season). Wonderful weekend in a gorgeous setting and thank you for sharing your home with us.
Walking distance to trails and the Little Colorado River. Don't miss the trail to Beaver Pond which is a must in the spring, summer and fall.
There are many events in Greer, both in the summer and in the winter. Visit for more information.
During the winter months, there are good sledding spots nearby. Sunrise Ski Resort is a short drive away. There is great skiing in the winter and other activities during the summer.
Hunters! Greer lies in the heart of Unit 1 hunting region. Come and stay with us while you enjoy your time in the outdoors.
