This cozy apartment is upstairs over looking a lush green garden, gas lanterns and a beautiful swimming pool. It has one bedroom with a double bed and a sofa sleeper in the main room. One bathroom and a nice size kitchen including an electric cooktop, coffee pot, full size refrigerator with ice maker and needed utensils with dishes. This apartment has recently been renovated and is in a very quiet safe area. If there is a festival you are coming for you are in the right area . Walking distance from everything in the French Quarter. As the horse and buggies pass the front gate you will be taken back in time. This place is a gem in the big city!
Great location - central in the French Quarter - walk everywhere in quarter and to Frenchman Street area. Very quaint and quiet property. Apartment on second floor. Patio and pool area below. After walking all day during the French Quarter Music Festival, it was wonderful to go in the pool or just sit and relax with our feet in the water. The Superintendent, James, was always available, extremely kind and helpful. We were there four nights, three of which our son and daughter-in-law joined us. Although the place is ideal for two, it was very manageable and comfortable for four. We will plan to stay in the unit again next time we visit the French Quarter.
We had a very nice stay. Everything was as expected, except the property pool which hadn't been cleaned in a few weeks. We did have some nice 70+ days and it would have been fun to use the pool. Other than that, a perfect stay.
Like others have said, this condo was close enough to walk to Bourbon street and to enjoy all of the happenings in the French Quarters. It was also far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet when it was time to rest. If this is your first time, I do suggest you arrive while it's daylight because it is quite dark on that street. We didn't feel unsafe but it was hard to see the numbers on the lock box. (Used our cellphone) No fault of the owner just a little helpful hint. There is absolutely no need to rent a car.... Everything is in walking distance. ..great food, great bars, great entertainment. Plenty of little shops to see great art and souvenirs. The condo was clean and quiet and there is a lovely courtyard with a swimming pool and pretty landscaping. It's all gated with other condos which was really nice and secure. I'm so glad that we decided to stay here instead of a hotel because there was just enough space for the 2 of us. When we return, we will definitely choose to stay here again.
I stayed 30 days in this nicely furnished French Quarter Garçonnière in January/February 2017. This quality standout is a balcony unit over the carriageway/courtyard. Having lived just 3 blocks away in the early 1980s, this was a trip back in time in every way. There are more amenities available here than are listed in the description (e.g., Central HVAC, 27” TV with basic cable, modestly furnished kitchen with microwave, burners, refrigerator). Though the on-site Wi-Fi was unreliable, many nearby businesses offer it free. I wish you the good fortune to meet the groundskeeper, James, who was a delight to see every day. I don't hesitate to recommend this rental.
A tip for those driving to New Orleans: Clark Garages (930 Gravier Street) offered secured off-street 24/7 parking for $210 monthly. It's a 10-1/2 block walk each way.
Had a great time in the Big Easy! Great location to everything, easy to get around. The apartment had everything we needed it. James was great and very helpful. Thanks James! Good for three people.
Mark the only thing I'm frustrated with is that I was charged the damage fee which was on my credit card when I got home and need to pay it or I will be charged interested on the amount. I feel we should not be charged until after the inspection is done. When will the credited be issued?
I really enjoyed staying here for four weeks! The location can't be beat. The apartment is quirky and comfortable. There's a security gate in front that made me feel really safe. The pool and courtyard are lovely. It's nice and quiet, too. Not a ton of natural light in the unit and it was a little dusty but that could be easily solved with an air purifier. Mark was VERY accommodating and responded to any inquires/needs very quickly. A great owner, a great stay! Thanks again, Mark!
