Historic townhome, in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood, 2 blocks from the heart of the action!
Elegant 1 bedroom, 1½ bathrooms, on the 2nd floor of a classic townhouse. Located in one of the most upscale sections of the city - the west side of DuPont Circle, in Kalorama - the safest neighborhood in DC.
The home is exceptionally large - 800 square feet of indoor living space - featuring high ceilings, tall windows and original French doors. Enhancing those quarters are two private balconies: just off the kitchen for dining alfresco, and next to the bedroom for morning coffee and quiet conversation outdoors.
The spiral staircase leads to a master retreat that is tucked away from the rest of the home. The bedroom is nicely sized and comfortably appointed, the organic mattress topped with freshly laundered linens, cleaned just prior to your arrival. Complementing the space is a full bathroom, sunroom alcove and Juliet balcony. On the main level, a sofa sleeper and half bath expands the sleeping quarters - the perfect arrangement if you're traveling with two couples or with children.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and if you're into organics, included is a juicer and Vitamix. Please feel free to use our spices for your cooking needs; groceries can be purchased just down the way at the corner market.
You are a short walk to hundreds of cafes and restaurants in DuPont and Georgetown, and within walking distance to the Capitol, monuments, museums, and the zoo. The DuPont Metro Station is just a few blocks away, and taxi’s and Ubers are abundant in the area.
If you are bringing a vehicle, you have two options that can be added to your quote: driveway parking is available for up to 2 vehicles, and street parking permits can also be arranged.
What you can expect: it is my aim to provide guests a five-star experience. Touches that I appreciate when I travel: cleanliness, upscale linens and towels, comfortable bedding, wireless Internet and eclectic decor.
Please Note: I book on a first-come basis, and the furnishings are constantly evolving!

Here's what Kathy from Ottawa had to say about her stay:
Excellent choice! This was a perfect choice for my recent three night stay in DC. The apartment was just as described in the listing - very clean, bright, safe and relaxed. It had all the amenities I required to make it an enjoyable stay including a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and a great WiFi connection. It was a fantastic location – within walking distance of major attractions but close to the Dupont Circle metro station if you prefer public transit. There is a good selection of restaurants, cafes and groceries in the area. Parking (with a permit) was available immediately across the street from the apartment and I never had to move my vehicle during my visit. I was most impressed with the responsiveness of the host who was accommodating and genuinely interested in ensuring a positive experience. She provided very clear, timely and detailed information and was always professional. I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I am in the area.
My husband and I prefer quiet homes in residential neighborhoods when we travel, and offer ours to like-minded people whenever we're away.

My hobbies include: Surrounding myself with beauty, preparing nutritious but delicious meals, collecting old tablecloths, staying vibrantly healthy, keeping spiritually alive, learning about natural medicine, listening to the Grateful Dead and other blues music, traveling, reading, writing, being next to the mountains and the ocean, chatting with family and annoying them with practical jokes, dreaming big dreams and being a great mom.
My husband and I stayed at this property at the last minute after we had a hiccup with our booked accommodation. The owner was very accommodating and bent over backwards to get us settled and in off the streets. We were, in deed, fortunate to have found this property as the location could not have been more ideal. Dupont Circle is a lovely, safe area with wonderful restaurants, shops and facilities to abound. We used the subway mostly which was only a short 10 minute walk away. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The only negatives I could mention is that there is no microwave and parking can be a problem. We paid for a 5 day parking permit but were not inclined to move (or use) our car as we would have difficulty finding another spot to park. I would recommend, if you can, to not bring a car .... everything that one needs is within walking distance.

I got kudos from my two girlfriends for finding this place. It was perfect. The area was beautiful (and safe), it was hard to believe it was only steps away from resturants, shops, and the metro. The condo was absolutely charming. It was spotless. The kitchen has been updated and had everything we needed. The bed AND air mattress were incredibly comfortable. (We all wrote the name of the air mattress down so we could go home and buy one for OUR guests). Gloria was delightful to work with. (We had one mini-glitch and even though she was out of town, it was addressed immediately). Thanks, Gloria! We would definitely come back to this lovely condo.
This is a great location and such a cute home. My husband and I stayed here with our 7 year old son and it was perfect. Gloria did a great job of making sure we were happy. Close to restaurants and the metro, but far enough away to not hear all the big city sounds. We look forward to staying here again!
The property is just as pictured and described, lovely, quaint, clean, most conveniently located in a safe, well-kept neighborhood that was peaceful and perfect for my morning run. Gloria, our hostess was super to work with and very accommodating. If I return to this area of the city I'll definitely return to this property
I usually stay in a hotel but was in D.C. for a one week course and found this lovely place on VRBO. The location was great and the condo was clean, beautifully decorated and I loved sitting out on the balcony each evening to work in my assignments!! I frequently travel to DC and will definitely stay here again!
I made a quick trip to DC to meet my daughter and we stayed here. It was a very nice, quiet neighborhood and the condo was also very nice. We had a rental car and needed a parking permit but could not give the information until we arrived. The owner was able to get us a parking permit and had it delivered to the condo very quickly. That being said, be advised that it was a challenge to find a parking spot even with the permit. It was an extremely cold weekend with temps down into the teens. The downstairs never got completely warm but the upstairs sleeping area was very warm and we slept perfectly well on the comfortable bed. Restaurants were just a little walk down towards DuPont Circle. Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again and was quite pleased.
I was in DC for a business trip and needed a place close to the Red Line and in a good area for food, running, and general life. This was the place, no doubt. The location was very comfortable, well taken care of, and in a great area. The owners responded very quickly and were very accommodating. If you are TV focused, which I'm not, but if you are, not the greatest place as the tv is very small and only had basic channels (they had a cable box there, and maybe something wasn't working, but it wasn't a big priority for me so i didnt mind). I would not recommend this for anyone with a family or that is not comfortable navigating a very steep and tightly woven spiral staircase. It was an adventure climbing up and down that thing with my luggage to get to the bedroom.
All in all, a good experience. Although, I'm not quite sure what my 140 dollar cleaning fee is going to if I have to wash all my dishes and take care of the trash too. A small thing, but definitely made me ponder.
