About this property

This charming, comfortable log home sits on 7.68 acres in prestigious Pagosa Peaks. It is in the San Juan National Forest at 8,000 ft. with easy access and roads that are well maintained year round. We have 360 degrees of the most beautiful views in Pagosa Springs. If you enjoy solitude while still accessing all conceivable amenities then 'Heart Rock Ranch Pagosa is the place for you.
You can visit the Hot Springs in town or enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing. All right from the cabin. Wolf Creek Ski Resort is only 60 minutes away and offers downhill skiing and snowboarding opportunities in the same 400 inches of powder that the U.S. Ski Team trains in every winter. The ski resort is open from early November to late April so take advantage of their long season.
The home is fully equipped, including pillow top beds, linens and furniture as the cabin was remodeled and updated only 9 years ago. The home sleeps 6 comfortably with one king bed, two queen beds, and two twin beds. The kitchen/dining area has seating for ten and the kitchen is stocked with everything a gourmet cook would need.
You can take a scenic walk in the morning or just sit on the deck and enjoy the abundant wildlife. In the winter months enjoy the large wood burning fireplace in the living room to stay toasty warm. Also perfect for a romantic dinner as you sit by the fire and watch the stars come out.

Nice country cabin

This cabin is about 12 minutes drive from Pagosa Springs, which is just right: not too far where it's inconvenient to go to town if you need to, and not so close that there is traffic and noise. The cabin was clean and comfortable. There are homes on neighboring properties, but not close enough that you would feel your privacy is compromised. There are some unpaved roads to reach the cabin, and if you visit in the winter, you will likely have to drive on some snow. The weather was very pleasant for our stay. There was snow on the ground, but it was not too cold. The cabin has central heat which worked well, and also a very large fireplace with a porch full of firewood supplied. Cellular service through T-Mobile and Verizon was weak and unreliable at the cabin. The cabin has Wi-Fi through CenturyLink, but unfortunately it was out of service for our entire visit. There is a landline phone in the cabin for emergency communication since there is no cell signal. The water is very soft. We had a couple of hours with no hot water, but I think it was our fault for trying to use too much at once (dishwasher, washing machine, shower, etc.) Overall we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, and this is a very nice place. Would come back again.

Amazing time at amazing place

Property sits in the mountains of pagosa springs. Amazing view all the way around, Snow was thick and added to the experience. Everything was functional, fireplace, ac/heat worked great. They had everything we needed. We will definitely be going back to this property!

Excellent, beautiful property!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property, with beautiful views all around. The house was comfortable with excellent accommodations. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything that you might need for meal prep and special occasions. The owner was very available and helpful when we had a few initial questions. Our reason for going to this area was to view the fall colors of the aspens--and the area did not disappoint! We would gladly return to this property and the area, and highly recommend it to singles, couples or families.

My husband and I live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. We are retired and enjoy traveling to National Parks and throughout Colorado. We love floating the river, fishing, hiking and canoeing. The picture I included is of Chuck and I on the north side of the cabin. The windows you see look out on the San Juan Mountains with a stunning view of Pagosa Peak. We have also enjoyed hiking to Piedra River Falls. It is a beautiful hike near the cabin.

We stayed at Heart Rock Ranch the summer of 2014 and fell in love with it. It felt like home from the minute we walked in. When we learned it was for sale we knew it was the perfect place for our family. We have two grown children who are both married, And now we have five grandchildren. This cabin will be the perfect place for us to gather, both now and for years to come. We cannot be there all the time so we want to share our home and the beauty of Colorado with you.
This property has consistently had 5 star reviews. We strive to maintain the high standards that have been set for this beautiful home.

What makes this property unique

The cabin has views that cannot be absorbed in a quick glance around. We love having the time to sit on the deck or relax in the hammock and soak in the beauty that surrounds us. There is much to be explored and we look forward to doing that from this convenient and stunning location.
